I had the pleasure of visiting True Society last week with my parents and future mother-in-law, and from the moment we walked in, the experience was incredible. Carrie greeted us right away with Champagne (and a sparkling juice option for non-drinkers), which immediately set such a welcoming and thoughtful tone. What really stood out to me was how different this experience felt compared to other bridal shops. Instead of being taken straight to a fitting area and handed dresses, Carrie took me (the bride) on a one-on-one tour of the shop first so I could explore the styles they offer. We had a detailed conversation about my budget, and she made it clear that if I fell in love with anything outside of that range, she would communicate it before I even tried it on, which I really appreciated. Not every shop is that transparent, and it made me feel respected and comfortable. The entire experience felt incredibly personal and truly tailored to me. Carrie was amazing, and I also want to give a shoutout to Brooke. She was the first person I spoke with over the phone, and she immediately made me feel excited and at ease about my appointment. Can't say enough good things about this place. This review is long overdue, I bought my dress here in 2024 after having a weird first experience at David's bridal. Everything went smoothly, the stylist was great and I was so happy to leave with my dream dress. There were no issues with the delivery date, everything went according to plan. If you're considering shopping here...you should! This was the one and only place I went dress shopping. We were greeted by Brooke who really kicked things off great. It means a lot to walk in and be immediately welcomed by someone who clearly loves their job and wants you to be there. My main stylist was Carrie and the stylist assisting was Heather. They were both AMAZING! Carrie is so experienced and really knows her stuff (thank goodness cause I had no idea what I was talking about but that did not slow her down one bit). Heather really helped me keep my cool and was SO patient. All the ladies here hustled with grace - they were doing laps around that store, checking inventory, getting me in and out of dresses like a race car pit crew, all the while being my therapist and personal stylist. It takes a special kind of person to do all of that and maintain such enthusiasm all day - super impressive! I'm confident that if I had gone anywhere else I would've gotten overwhelmed and left empty handed. I despise clothes shopping and on top of that I had a very short turnaround time so going into this I knew I'd have limited options. Even then, they remained so positive and encouraging the whole time. They even found a ton of options that would work with my wedding date. From the moment we started, you could tell she took the time to really look through my inspo photos and understand what I was drawn to. She pulled dresses that matched my vision perfectly, while also getting to know me and the style of my wedding and suggesting options I never would have thought to try on myself. I've waited a year to leave this review. I was a first time bride extremely excited and overwhelmed by finding a dress in a couple months. I found a dress I absolutely loved so I said yes to the dress. Unfortunately since I only had a couple months until my wedding I was convinced by my sales girl that I had to buy a size 10 (I am a size 4-6 normally )and get it altered she said they had great seamstress to recommend I shouldn't worry. Fabulous Dresses!! Gorgeous areas to try the gowns on!! Staff is so friendly and helpful!! You need reservations of course! So, they can be prepared for your arrival and the guests you need to help make that important decision! We arrived and were given the tour of the many options of dresses depending on the design and budget the bride is desiring. The area to try the gowns on is lovely- set up in a circle in the middle of the room it has about four or five dressing areas. They resemble a stage platform where the Bride is the Star!! Hailey our advisor was very skilled and picking gowns upon my daughter's description of what her desired gown would look like.... That being said- She said Yes to the Dress and we celebrated with a little glass of champagne! What a fantastic memory and great experience! Vy was prepared for my appointment and carefully reviewed my inspiration pictures and design ideas. She made my entourage feel comfortable. I had an okay experience overall, but this place is the reason why some brides are intimidated by dress shopping. This was my 3rd shop I had been to. It's adorable in the shop, the dresses are pretty. They asked multiple times where else I had been and if I had any other appointments (I did later that day). 3 different people offered to cancel my other appointments for me. They REALLY do not want you going anywhere else and I can see why. The stylist was amazing. She made me feel comfortable and gorgeous, she picked dresses I loved and I found one I really loved but wasn't 100% sure of. The entire appointment the manager was hanging out with our group and being very friendly and sweet, but definitely overstayed her welcome. It seemed like her intention for being there was to make a sale. I think the stylist we were with was trained to be pushy, but was very respectful of my boundaries wanting to make sure I was sure of what I was spending a couple grand on. The manager seemed comfortable to give us the push to purchase and shmooze us into pulling out our wallets. My mom and future mother and law said it took away from their experience because they felt like they were just the credit cards on chairs.... Not living this code memory of dress shopping with me. Toward the end of my appointment I had both the stylist and the manager making me and my group very uncomfortable by saying we wanted to go to breakfast and think about the dress I loved before purchasing. They were uncomfortably pushy. It felt like they were working off of commission of something. They just wanted our money. They did not want us to go to our next appointment. Multiple people multiple times said to not go and to just pull the trigger. They said that I wouldn't like the dresses at the other place as much and that after 3 appointments at different shops I should know what I want by now. If I didn't buy right then and there I never would. I ended up going to my 4th and final appointment elsewhere and buying there. All that's to say, I had incredible experiences at 3 other shops. Being made to b feel comfortable and confident in my dress and with my large purchase. Not once did any other shop make me feel pressured to buy that day, but rather encouraged me to leave and return after sleeping on the decision, reviewing photos, etc. True Society is not secure in their dresses, their prices or their stylists. I flew into Phoenix to visit my parents for Thanksgiving week. My sister drove in from Texas as well. I knew I would have my favorite women with me so I had to find a place to go bridal dress shopping! I found True Society through a Google search and loved the selection I saw on their instagram. I actually got my dress there as an off the rack dress and ended up saving $1500! Super awesome deal! The dress is to die for and my store associate Zoe was so kind and helpful throughout. ALSO! For warning, they only sell ivory dresses. They said the brides today "their white is ivory". Even when my daughter asked for white the lady said ok, not well it isn't white white. My daughter's measurements were not measured correctly and the dress is too small. Even meeting with a manager they told my 30yr old daughter that she must have grown shoulder to waist and that's why it's too small now. Lies, her wedding is in 2 months and basically nothing they'll do for her. Just handed her a list of alterations specialists of theirs that can let the dress out. Communication before I bought the dress, wonderful. Communication after I bought the dress, not so much. I made an appointment online and this was the first (and only) place I went dress shopping. Olivia was wonderful in helping me find THE one. Shayna and Scott need to thank her for the 3 stars, instead of 1 I would have given this place after my experience. The end of my appointment felt rushed as they were already closed for the day and I ended up choosing a veil I hate. No one offered to take pictures of myself with my guests, I didn't get the cute #truebride photo that everyone else has, there was not confirmation on the color of the dress I wanted. Everything was super short and rushed. All of the other employees were standing at the door waiting for us to leave. I was offered a discount on the dress I bought. When I went home and reviewed my receipt, I realized they didn't apply the discount. I sent a message and they let me know they would give me a call Tuesday. Tuesday rolls around, no call. I called in someone answered and I could hear (what I assume is the employees) gossiping. I said "hello" and got hung up on. I called right back, straight to voicemail. I called again after 5 minutes, straight to voicemail. (And not the voicemail greeting you would normally get, it's a sorry your call couldn't be answered automated voicemail) was my # blocked? I had to *67 call in to get through to someone. I was put on hold while they went to get Taryn, the manager. Taryn gets on the phone after a few minutes to let me know she did process a refund for the discounted amount I was offered. (Which conveniently happened while I was on hold) I asked about my veil, if I could cancel it. I was told no, they can't. But, I could set up an accessory appointment to go in and find something else to spend more money on. Perfect, my dress was already over budget, you're making me keep a veil I hate, and I can come in to spend more money. Just wonderful. How can you refund me for a discount but not be able to cancel a $295 veil?!? I paid over $1,600 for my dress. Any customer should be treated with more respect and you should be more accommodating. At the end I did ask about the phone call and how I had to *67 and got some excuse of 1 phone line.. I really contemplated on leaving this review. So I wrote it out and waited a few months. My message to the manager: be kinder, be quicker to apologize, you've been through this exact experience of getting married and finding a dress. You work in the industry so I am assuming your expertise really helped you when it came to your decisions. Not everyone has the luxury. You should be more honest about pricing and options Save yourself the hassle - check reviews and shop somewhere else. CANT WAIT TO WEAR MY DRESS and shitty expensive veil. read more

Three weeks ago we shopped with a most delightful assistant that took her time to sell us a dress. She cinched the dress my daughter was trying on to show her how it could be altered. We made the purchase based on that representation . Then, when my daughter went to the seamstress recommended by True Society, that seamstress said that she cannot alter it in that fashion. My daughter called the shop to express her dissatisfaction (she wouldn't have picked this dress if she knew that what she was being told about alterations wasn't factual). True Society's response? "It's not my fault that you can't find a competent seamstress to do alterations. We will not be refunding you your money. Designers do not cancel orders." My daughter reminded them this seamstress was their recommended seamstress. They said it was just someone they Googled. UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE Buyer be ware... this store does not handle their own alterations. Is this really a shop you would want to use? Below the response from True Society makes it sound like my daughter had a bad experience with her seamstress. She had a bad experience with True Society. They are twisting it around so they do not look bad. read more
