I ordered from Monique at Cleo and Clementine via Etsy. You would not believe the lengths Monique went to in order to make sure I had the perfect veil for my special day. First of all, I was on a very tight time line because we decided to elope in weeks. I jumped on Etsy and ordered what I thought would be the perfect veil with enough time to receive the item. But, when the veil arrived the shade of rose gold did not match my dress. I quickly notified Monique and asked what I should do. She immediately told me she could help me. She calmly explained she had a new color that might work and she could dye a new veil and add the metallic flakes and get it mailed before my date. The date I notified her was 6 days from my wedding date. She made it happen. The veil arrived the day of the ceremony before noon as promised and was absolutely perfect. I'm getting married in August, and I was debating whether I wanted a veil at all. My dress is white with black embellishments, and I really wanted a black veil, but I hated all the thicker black ones I saw online... cheap-looking and Hot-Topic esque, I felt. But then I found a photo on Pinterest of a bride with an incredibly thin black veil in the sheerest, most delicate tulle I've ever seen, and I adored it. I miraculously tracked it down as having been made by Cleo & Clementine, so I reached out to them and asked them about the possibility of making one for me. I actually assumed it would be way more expensive than it was, but the price (~$300 for cathedral length) was within my range. They worked with me via email to create my custom order, and it finally arrived tonight! My dress is also being custom made, so I don't have it yet, and therefore don't have any way of knowing how the veil with look paired with my dress. I imagine, though, that it will be perfect. Beautiful and thoughtfully handmade! My wedding dress and entire experience with Monique was truly memorable and SO special to me. If you're looking for something one of a kind and quality made, this is it. She created my dress bodice by hand stitching teeny tiny pieces of lace like a puzzle, tailoring each piece perfectly to the curves of my body that flowed into a fitted lace skirt. I wanted something for "drama" during the ceremony, so she also made a removable overlay skirt on the fly. It flowed beautifully! She created a dress and experience better than I could have ever imagined. Not to mention, she also completely saved me by making our flower girl dresses. I had purchased some from a retailer that were not going to work. She quickly created pieces that fit each girl's personality perfectly. I cannot thank Monique enough for talking me off a ledge when two days before my wedding another dress company still did not have my dress ready, and did not even acknowledge my stresses. Monique made me a veil in less than 4 days notice and met with Me the day before wedding to make sure the new veil looked good wirh the dress I ordered last minute since My other one was still ill fitting. I really wanted a light mint wedding dress. I stumbled upon Ouma on Etsy- Monique's shop- and noticed they hand dye their own fabrics. While I live in Portland, Ore, I travel to Phoenix frequently for work. I met with Monique and her sweet team- and they saw and understood my vision for my dress. I met with them a couple more times when I was in town..and the dress was shipped to me a few months later. It was exactly what I ever could have wanted in my dress. It fit perfectly, embodied my personality, and was such a show stopper. Brides should have a dress that is as unique as they are- and Cleo & Clementine is the best place to achieve this. WOW WOW WOW! I couldn't have dreamt a more beautiful gown. Monique has the patience, thoughtfulness, and attention to detail any bride would want. I whole-heartedly, enthusiastically recommend this fantastic local boutique. My experience in particular, was based on the mission to find a wedding dress, while avoiding the superficiality that is so commonly found in the wedding industry - especially your basic run-of-the-mill bridal shops. I wanted something locally made and custom designed...and with some searching, I landed on the instagram account for Cleo & Clementine. Boom! Through the power of social media, wedding dress wishes were granted. Three months before my wedding day, I set up an appointment, and met Monique (the owner) and Rachel for the first time. From there, I will say it was definitely a journey, which turned into a serious challenge once certain family members (read: my mother) got involved with the design choice at the last minute. This turned into a whirlwind of fittings, design and fabric changes one week before the wedding. Not an ideal scenario for anyone - but Monique and Rachel were incredibly patient. and determined to make everyone happy. They never once made me feel like I was an inconvenience for making changes, as it was apparent that they sincerely wanted to create the perfect wedding dress for me. At the end of it all, it truly felt like they were a part of the family, to the point where I extended them invitations to my wedding. If you can catch this place open, it's a real gem. Monique is the owner and also the dressmaker. Her dresses are incredible, whimsical creations. She does bridal, ranging from ethereal to more edgy creations, as well as more everyday apparel. If you don't see anything you like you can also custom order it. She is a real talent. Monique was extremely helpful in getting my wedding dress measurements. The dress came already hung and in plastic protection. The tulle was so gorgeous, the satin ribbon fit the dress beautifully. I found Monique's store through etsy.com. I simply LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the tea length dress and am certain that I'll be able to wear this dress on different occasions. I might just have Monique dye the fabric and convert it into a tulle skirt sans bodice. Thank you so much, Monique for making my special day more amazing.
