    I have had the most horrible experience with Truket. I had booked their services for a local move (2 miles apart) both for packing and moving. Do not book them if you want to waste your money, have last-minute fee surprises and pay for 6 hours for a 3-hour job. Please do take a look at their Shitty work below. First of all, I was charged $125 for box supplies, but the movers did not get any wardrobe boxes (which I was told will be part of the package) and they were short on packaging paper. I was charged 125 dollars for 20 Normal boxed, 5 tapes, and a half roll of shrink wrap which one can get for under $50 at home depot. Second, Most of the boxes are so so so POORLY packaged, it doesn't look like the work of a professional at all. Please take a look at the Photos Third, They charge on an hourly basis, which is very subjective based on the efficiency of the mover. To pack 20 boxes horribly and in a most non-professional crappy way, move it down 2 miles and unload the stuff, 3 professionals took 5.5 hours which seems way too long for the kind of shitty job they have done. Lastly, after all the loading and unloading, it occurred to my mover that they will charge me $100 extra as a long-distance fee because they had to park their truck far from the house (which most certainly is debatable). When I tried to contact truket, I was told I will get a callback which I never did, but I guess giving crappy services runs in all departments of this company.

    Update and response to the business: The app I was referring to was the Thumbtack app which is also a website service for finding local service providers like yours.  This was the service I used to communicate with your company.  I'm including one screenshot for reference. We prepaid for 3 hours for the job on Dec 28th, 2019. The actual move was done under the minimum 2 hours charge. We asked for a refund on extra hour. After moving back and forth, we finally got our refund on Jan 7th, 2020.  The person we were talking to also mentioned about getting a positive review for a "bonus." I'm doing this review to help your company prevent something like this happening to future customers.  I felt I needed to respond due to the fact your response indicated that I was not referencing interactions with your company.

    They showed up early and were very professional and considerate with my stuff. They wrapped everything nicely and took care with it all so none of my stuff was scuffed during the move. They worked hard and efficiently. I would definitely recommend them! First class service.

    DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. MOVERS DID NOT SHOW UP OR COMMUNICATE WITH ME FOR 5 HOURS AFTER THE EXPECTED ARRIVAL. TOOK 5 HOURS TO MOVE 500 SQUARE FEET. (screenshots included in photos) Joe was great during the initial conversations. He responded and seemed to be an upfront guy. I had a move scheduled for Saturday, June 8th so texted on June 7th confirm. He promptly replied and said Yes. That was the last time I heard from Joe until Monday, June 10th. See screenshots below. I called and texted several times around my scheduled move on Saturday morning and Joe just didn't reply. I spent about 5 hours panicking trying to find another moving company. Still not response. Around 330 I left and decided to go get a drink to calm my nerves, and finally Aaron, a manager from Truket, calls me and says that Joe never scheduled my move and that they didn't have any availability for the day but they could do it the next morning. After some back and forth, I finally decided to let them do the move on Sunday because no other companies were available. Sunday the movers arrive. Brian was friendly, but seemed to have difficulty optimizing and being efficient. They went up and down the elevator multiple times to go "get supplies" instead of just bringing everything they could potentially need up the first time. At one point I came downstairs and saw them standing, arms rested, just chatting on the truck. They were supposed to wrap a table of mine that had stuff, but didn't wrap it properly and later found my car key on the ground outside (it fell out of the drawer of the table). At both apartments, instead of loading the elevator full of items for each trip, they just took what they could carry. When traveling between apartments, they asked could they stop and get a soda (although I'd been providing them free water all day); my answer to that was obviously 'no'. Brian and his partner were nice guys, but not efficient. I even helped move my own boxes and IT STILL TOOK 5 HOURS TO MOVE A 500 SQUARE FOOT APARTMENT, WITH ELEVATORS AT BOTH LOCATIONS, TO A BUILDING ONLY 2 BLOCKS AWAY. You would think that with all this, they would have given me a discount that made up for the time and stress? After all, I was estimated a 2 hour move, they flaked on for me the first day, and it took more than 2 times the estimated time. Nope. They offered me $50 off. I told them that was unacceptable and then he offered to drop one hour off and give $40 discount for missing my appointment. Wow. $40? Okay. At this point I knew this company was a sham and I had no energy left in me to fight them. I basically paid the original estimated price for a move that was 24 hours late and over 2x the estimated time. I admit that I took my time paying their invoice. After all, I wasn't a priority to them on Saturday when they flaked on my move (and they didn't even contact me to say that)... so why should make them a priority to pay them? Well Joe texted and threatened that he would have guys come to my house to "receive the cash". I was not intimidated by this at all (they couldn't get thru building security if they tried lol), but it just further shows how unprofessional this company is. See screen shots below. I hate to say it, but this company is horrible. They lied, flaked and caused me a crazy amount of stress. And didn't even compensate me for my troubles. DON'T USE TRUKET.

    I've had the pleasure of working with these gentleman when it was Clutch Moving and they did an excellent job. I've always dreaded the idea of moving, but since I found these guys, my moving pains are over! They have great energy and attitudes, making the experience even more fun. Will definitely be using them in the future!

    I hired Oscar Movers who parks his truck by a post office I use. The first thing I said, on the…read morephone, was there would be multiple trips because I have a lot of oversize pieces. He came by to see what was involved and assured me they could get it all in one truck. He could see already packed boxes, so I showed him every piece, including 2 sheds. I said that the furniture had to go into the new place first because there were a lot of boxes. I told him, if they all are going to fit, to put the boxes in the truck first so they would come out last. We were moving only 3 miles away so could manage to pick up smaller items left behind. Day of the move, Oscar arrives with 4 other Spanish speaking men with some/not enough English. I emphasized to him that some things had to go first, especially the 2 sheds to go on the porch which would be necessary for the items already inside to get them out of the way, and to only take boxes and furniture, we'd come back for anything else. I assumed the US born "Oscar", who all the men called Raoul, was staying and he would supervise and/or help. If I'd known he was leaving altogether, I would have made sure the men knew what to do. We left for our new place and before we were in the car, Oscar was gone. He never relayed my messages to the four men. None of it happened. It all went into the truck at the same time and into our place, higgeldy/piggeldy and boxes mostly in the wrong rooms. All the small items had been picked up and the large furniture left behind. It was exactly the opposite of what I asked for. They even put smaller odds and ends, all dropped into odd boxes or whatever would hold them. These were all the items I requested be left behind! Now we are bringing back things daily that should never have arrived in the first place. At our new place, when the truck was empty, they informed me that they had not been able to fit the 2 sheds, our bed, The freezer, washing machine, 2 dressers, 3 bureaus with most of our clothes, an outdoor chest and 3 large plants. (Sounds like multiple trips to me. Does Oscar know his own business?) I phoned Oscar and insisted we needed our bed to sleep in, so they made a return trip for the 2 sheds, our bed. They didn't bother to take the freezer, washer, dressers and bureaus etc. on that trip. Then Oscar refused to make an appointment pick up the rest of my furniture saying there was no room left to bring them in. Even at the end of the move that day, we had places vacant for the washer, freezer, dressers, bureaus, chest and plants to go. If the furniture had been moved first as requested, he could have gotten them all in and he could have had a 2nd days work for his crew. It left our place with boxes piled on the floor and furniture, sometimes almost to the ceiling with little room to walk between with little room to walk around. I'm not even including several broken and misshaped pieces. (My packing or their rough handling?) If Oscar wants to run a successful business, he has to follow the client's wishes. If he had told the men anything, it would have gone better. If Oscar had taken me at my word, he would have had 2 days of payment. As it was, it went overtime and cost more than he had estimated. I paid in full.

The services included drawing layout options that would show some of our furnishings in the new residence -- which wasn't much! The majority of our home's belongings were organized into items moving with us, donations, possible consignment, landfill, and limited storage. The team members were very positive and upbeat -- "fast" is an understatement and they definitely worked well together. While it's unfortunate that the speed prevented more oversight than my husband or I could give (therefore, losing several items), the job was completed given the timeline we pressed for. Of course, we'd still be in boxes if unpacking wasn't done for us. So relieved that chore was provided as well. And pictures got hung on the wall, too. We can't recommend them enough for a much valued service.

Libby Wood came out and started getting us organized from the get go, she handled everything; the planning the passing out of stuff that deciding of what should go wear, she helped us on every front imaginable. When it came time to deal with the rest of the items in the house, a staggering amount of stuff, Libby and her crew showed up precisely on time and got straight to work; sorting, stacking, packing and moving -- I have seldom seen a more efficient group of people at work, a real team of professionals. Our experience was fantastic, we looked at each other several times during this move and said "thank goodness for Libby". I can't possibly say enough nice things or recommend her and her team at Senior Settlers highly enough. They are worth every penny - and more. Save yourself headache and heartache by leaning on this amazing resource.

Despite the conditions, they were positive and efficient; even a stubborn king-sized bed required a master-level disassembly, and they handled it with aplomb. Also, setting up the move was long-time J&D employee Mike, who was completely professional and spot-on with the very reasonable cost estimate, even with the horrible weather. Hats off to these three and J&D (who had ironically moved OUT the previous tenant in our new location) - nothing was a slam dunk about this move, but they certainly made it seem that way.

The second quote was for 12K to move two miles. The first move was from San Francisco to San Rafael. It was about 30 boxes and some very small furniture and clothing. Excect on moving day the guys did not bring wardrobe boxes, so my husband had to bring all of our clothes in the car. No apology, no adjustment to the bill. A few days ago we moved from a small two bedroom condo to a single level home 2 miles away. We asked them to pack and unpack. I was told by Michael that they would pack and unpack for us. We are an older couple, both with injuries and so we were looking forward to the help. We were booked with 7 guys for 71/2 to 81/2 hours over two days. The move started off bad, as we were told they "don't really unpack as they are not organizers." We were confused as we were led to believe they would put some stuff away, which apparently they do to some extent. I asked them to simply label the boxes from where they took them. E.g. "Master bathroom vanity drawer." They did not really label stuff and to be honest, they just threw a lot of stuff in boxes. So when they got to the new place they did not know where to put some of the boxes and it was pretty clear they did not care. By 12:30 on the first day, Ronaldo (lead guy) informs me he can't complete the move that day. I asked why and he said several times, "Are you cool with paying me overtime? If I don't stop now it's time-and a half." At the same time he was also saying he did not want a long day on the second day of the move. So I contacted Michael who said he would talk to Ronaldo. Keep in mind, I'm there alone, while my husband is in the new place. Ronaldo is pissed at this point and tells his team they have to "Move this Sh__ !" I felt really uncomfortable. So they had no problem at all moving everything over to the new place. I think they left around 4:00 after taking a 25 minute break in the morning and at least 45 minutes for lunch, which I supplied and they seemed to feel entitled to. The next day they showed up at 8:15 to unpack. It was a joke. They stained the wall from moving. My husband just had it painted and it not take a picture, so we can't file a claim. He did get them to help put stuff away, but they mostly put stuff where ever they wanted and it was random as they did not label boxes correctly. They were gone bynoon however, so no one had a long day, expect us, as we are still trying to figure out where our stuff is days later.
