Before speaking with Truket, I was feeling super overwhelmed since it was my first time having to find professional movers and I had heard horror stories from friends with their own past moves. My move required two drop-off locations with a tight move-out window. Overall, my experience with Truket was great! Gio answered all my questions patiently and I appreciated how transparent and professional the company's process was to book. ex. They provide an invoice with the agreed rate so no hidden fees or unexpected change-ups the day of. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! This was literally the worst moving company I have ever worked with. I needed a quick move within my building and they seemed capable for it. However, when the guys showed up they were completely inept. They tried taking apart a bedframe and broke half of the screws taking it apart. I made some suggestions and they were not welcomed. In the two hours before they walked off the job, they damaged one chair and moved only a couple items downstairs. Literally the least professional moving company I ever worked with. In addition, the owner was extremely rude and unprofessional toward me and told me it was all my fault. I tried to get my $100 deposit back, but they never refunded me. Avoid using this moving company. When scheduling our move, we provided a detailed inventory of everything we needed to be moved. Despite this, they showed up with a truck that was not large enough to fit all of our furniture and items. This caused us to have to make a second trip in which we had to leave even more behind than we anticipated. They damaged a few pieces of furniture (including our couch and dining room chairs,) they scratched the floors moving out of our old residence, and they damaged a wall moving into our new residence. Management has failed to adequately address the situation despite promising they would multiple times now. If you are looking to move in the SF Bay Area, I would not suggest using Truket. read more

I have had the most horrible experience with Truket. I had booked their services for a local move (2 miles apart) both for packing and moving. Do not book them if you want to waste your money, have last-minute fee surprises and pay for 6 hours for a 3-hour job. Please do take a look at their Shitty work below. First of all, I was charged $125 for box supplies, but the movers did not get any wardrobe boxes (which I was told will be part of the package) and they were short on packaging paper. I was charged 125 dollars for 20 Normal boxed, 5 tapes, and a half roll of shrink wrap which one can get for under $50 at home depot. Second, Most of the boxes are so so so POORLY packaged, it doesn't look like the work of a professional at all. Please take a look at the Photos Third, They charge on an hourly basis, which is very subjective based on the efficiency of the mover. To pack 20 boxes horribly and in a most non-professional crappy way, move it down 2 miles and unload the stuff, 3 professionals took 5.5 hours which seems way too long for the kind of shitty job they have done. Lastly, after all the loading and unloading, it occurred to my mover that they will charge me $100 extra as a long-distance fee because they had to park their truck far from the house (which most certainly is debatable). I rarely take the time to leave a review, but after hiring Truket for the 5th time and after the horrible service I received, investing my time in a review was a MUST. The first time I hired them the service was excellent, but I am super disappointed with the steady declines. I did hire them for personal move twice and constantly recommended them to friends and family, BUT NEVER AGAIN. Movers were late, broken items, the bed was assembled with missing pieces (had to do my self all over again), very messy move despite all the labeling, topped with the fact the movers were leisurely slow which cost me more money. I did share the disappointment with Joe, but all he did is tell me I will get back to you, I am still waiting after 3 reminders and 2.5 weeks, who has time for this? the bottom line is NOTHING WAS RESOLVED AND I DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more

Update and response to the business: The app I was referring to was the Thumbtack app which is also a website service for finding local service providers like yours.  This was the service I used to communicate with your company.  I'm including one screenshot for reference. We prepaid for 3 hours for the job on Dec 28th, 2019. The actual move was done under the minimum 2 hours charge. We asked for a refund on extra hour. After moving back and forth, we finally got our refund on Jan 7th, 2020.  The person we were talking to also mentioned about getting a positive review for a "bonus." DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. MOVERS DID NOT SHOW UP OR COMMUNICATE WITH ME FOR 5 HOURS AFTER THE EXPECTED ARRIVAL. TOOK 5 HOURS TO MOVE 500 SQUARE FEET. (screenshots included in photos) Joe was great during the initial conversations. He responded and seemed to be an upfront guy. I had a move scheduled for Saturday, June 8th so texted on June 7th confirm. He promptly replied and said Yes. That was the last time I heard from Joe until Monday, June 10th. See screenshots below. I called and texted several times around my scheduled move on Saturday morning and Joe just didn't reply. I spent about 5 hours panicking trying to find another moving company. Still not response. Around 330 I left and decided to go get a drink to calm my nerves, and finally Aaron, a manager from Truket, calls me and says that Joe never scheduled my move and that they didn't have any availability for the day but they could do it the next morning. After some back and forth, I finally decided to let them do the move on Sunday because no other companies were available. Sunday the movers arrive. Brian was friendly, but seemed to have difficulty optimizing and being efficient. They went up and down the elevator multiple times to go "get supplies" instead of just bringing everything they could potentially need up the first time. At one point I came downstairs and saw them standing, arms rested, just chatting on the truck. They were supposed to wrap a table of mine that had stuff, but didn't wrap it properly and later found my car key on the ground outside (it fell out of the drawer of the table). At both apartments, instead of loading the elevator full of items for each trip, they just took what they could carry. When traveling between apartments, they asked could they stop and get a soda (although I'd been providing them free water all day); my answer to that was obviously 'no'. Brian and his partner were nice guys, but not efficient. I even helped move my own boxes and IT STILL TOOK 5 HOURS TO MOVE A 500 SQUARE FOOT APARTMENT, WITH ELEVATORS AT BOTH LOCATIONS, TO A BUILDING ONLY 2 BLOCKS AWAY. You would think that with all this, they would have given me a discount that made up for the time and stress? After all, I was estimated a 2 hour move, they flaked on for me the first day, and it took more than 2 times the estimated time. Nope. They offered me $50 off. I told them that was unacceptable and then he offered to drop one hour off and give $40 discount for missing my appointment. Wow. $40? Okay. At this point I knew this company was a sham and I had no energy left in me to fight them. I basically paid the original estimated price for a move that was 24 hours late and over 2x the estimated time. I admit that I took my time paying their invoice. After all, I wasn't a priority to them on Saturday when they flaked on my move (and they didn't even contact me to say that)... so why should make them a priority to pay them? Well Joe texted and threatened that he would have guys come to my house to "receive the cash". I was not intimidated by this at all (they couldn't get thru building security if they tried lol), but it just further shows how unprofessional this company is. See screen shots below. Their movers showed up three hours past the time they scheduled to arrive, did not give us an updated ETA and then their movers refused to wear masks. Moving 1800 miles is not easy. It is stressful and hard. But the fellas from Truket made the move from San Francisco to Austin very easy on us. First of all, Jo is very easy to get a hold of. Very responsive, friendly and caring. After one phone conversation with him I knew that this would be the company I went with. After his initial visit, he continued to be responsive as far as next steps. He brought his team over throughout the following days to assess what needed to be done, and everyone he brought was awesome. Erika and Sylvia helped us pack, and took special care of everything. They were very attentive with glasses, stemware, wine bottles, records, record player, etc... they took their time and were also nice to have around. On moving day, the team consisted of Jo, Aaron and Brian. You couldn't spend the day with three better guys. Good to work with, fun to talk to and very hard workers. Incredibly diligent but also very careful with bigger items. Some parts of the move were complicated, but they handled it with aplomb. Aaron and Brian made the drive to Austin and arrived as scheduled. Despite being exhausted from the long drive, they unloaded the truck very quickly, but with care. They even went out of their way to help me with something that they absolutely didn't have to. Working with Trucket has been a HORRIFIC experience. DO NOT HIRE THEM. After giving them photos and a detailed itemized list of my unusual move and stressing over the phone exactly what I needed and the scope of the project to Michelle, she promised me they could take care of it. On the day of the move the truck they brought was not a sufficient size (had they told me I need a bigger truck in the first place, I would have been happy to pay for it.) The moving team was completely surprised and unprepared despite my stressing how large the job was both in writing and over the phone. This resulted in two trips instead of one, paying 2x what I was quoted, and they were not able to finish the job leaving me in the lurch. Not to mention several items were damaged/broken the corner of our walls were deeply chipped, and the floor permanently and deeply scratched. I had to hire a separate moving company last minute to finish what they started. They promised to work with us on the situation as we are very upset and out a lot of money, but they have been screening our calls, blocking us on all social media, and hanging up on us. We will be contacting the better business bureau and making a formal complaint. Absolutely unacceptable the way we've been treated. They are also trying to use a photo they took of me during the move (not telling me what it was for) as blackmail and proof that I was satisfied with the job. read more

dont book them. guys were okay, young and did their best to help us move. but giovanni, the one who quoted us, added more to what we initially paid even though they were the ones who were late by almost 3 hours and the guys went on a break while they were moving our stuff. i understand that the boys needed to rest, but to put that cost on us- terrible!! when he quoted our place he said that there will be boxes and even wardrobe storages, there werent any!! we had90% of our personal stuff packed except for clothes because they said they will have wardrobe boxes- they didnt even box any of our things and charged us for more!! very poor service! we tried to be okay with them being 3 hours late, but charging us more for their own fault is a big no no!!
