Additional update after talking to Scandinavian Designs - they've never seen anything like this and sell hundreds of these, the only thing they could think of that would cause damage like this is if someone INSTALLED THE LEGS IMPROPERLY, compromising the structure and causing it to weaken over time until it gave out. Note that Lucas' response seems to indicate this isn't possible but it tracks with what Linda posted below about a bed assembled with missing pieces. So if you have no problem with the team being 6 hours or so late and charging you while their guys are driving around lost and not following the directions you gave and doing sloppy installation, maybe it's a good fit for your move... _________________________ Update based on response below - the bed in question is a $900 Bolig Bed from Scandinavian Design. Look it up and you can decide for yourself if that makes sense that a 14 month old bed of Scandinavian Designs quality would break if properly assembled. ________________________________________________ Nice guys but sloppy, disorganized and not accountable. Hired them to move within my building Nov 1 2020 - simple job that should've taken an hour max. They were supposed to arrive at noon - they arrived at after 6 (never mind that I got different excuses from different people about why). They didn't take directions and parked in the wrong place - when I directed them to where was easiest and safest to park, they moved the truck which took 20 minutes and charged me for that time. The guys were enthusiastic, but disorganized. I wouldn't have posted this review since they seem like good guys, but the new bed from Scandinavian Designs they set up just collapsed on me and broke. When I contacted the owner of the company because I believe they set it up incorrectly, the response was that someone else named Joel is the owner. That person hasn't responded to me. My roommates in my old house had thrown a wild party while I was away for Winter break and got us kicked off the lease. As a full-time student with barely any money and 30 days to vacate the premises, I felt my situation was hopeless. Luckily, I had found a suitable place to relocate. However, the cost of moving all of my furniture and other personal items was outrageously expensive! I searched everywhere for a moving company that would be able to help me move my belongings after school for an affordable price. The only company that I found to offer an acceptable rate for moving was Truket. Not only was the price of their service fairly inexpensive, but they were also very nice and willing to work around my schedule. The move took a total of two hours on Sunday night, which is substantially less than what I had previously imagined with all the furniture my roommates and I had. The employees of Truket also made sure to carefully carry everything out of my old house so as to avoid hitting the walls as well as carefully arranging the furniture in the new home in the manner that we desired. Two of the employees of Truket (Aaron & Jo) personally made sure to carefully carry out our two flat screen TVs and install them safely at our new home without a single scratch. I needed to quickly project manage a move for my sister. Joe reached out to us via Thumbtack quickly and kept open communication with us around scheduling and reasonable pricing and payment he was very proactive, very kind, and very understanding of our last-minute situation and extremely helpful and forthcoming with necessary information. The two men on his staff, Douglas and Rodolfo were about a half hour late (which actually worked in our benefit) due to mechanical issues with their truck, but they kept us updated on their whereabouts. Once they arrived they did the job thoroughly and quickly as far as packing us up from our apartment and were just as efficient unloading at our second location. Douglas and Rodolfo were professional but with great senses of humor. Joe followed up with us after the move and was an overall pleasure to work with, he removed a lot of unnecessary stress. I scheduled a comprehensive packing, moving and unpacking job with Truket three days in advance. Despite already having a busy schedule for that Saturday, Joe and his team made plenty of time for the service I requested. They were safe with my belongings during all three services (packing, moving, and unpacking) and completed the service very efficiently. Finding good moving companies who take solid care of your items is harder than it looks, but the high standard professionally by Joe and his team allow them to make moving look easy. I was in a real pinch needing to move within 48 hours because my landlord was price gauging me when it was time to resign my lease. Great move with Truket. Professional moving company, I'd never go with another company again for a local move. Brian, Aaron, and the team (3 people total) were great, everyone was nice and upbeat during the whole move, and they worked hard for the full 4 hours to get the move done quickly. Everyone was focused on avoiding any damage and taking care of everything big and small. Brian especially went above and beyond to ensure I got what I needed done in the old apartment, and that things were put in the right place and set up in the new apartment. I almost never hire movers for anything, but I had recently hurt my back and was in the middle of a move that required several pick ups and drop offs at different locations with large heavy items. Truket helped me moved a week ago and they were true professionals. I coordinated with Aaron (Aaron@truket.com), who provided all the details prior to the move (# of movers required, approx time it would take etc and was very responsive to all the questions. They hold a deposit of $50 to ensure that you reserve the spot with them. On the day of the move, Carlos and Jonathan were really good, taking care of the items by wrapping etc. Typically moves are always stressful, but I can honestly say that the Truket folks minimized any anxiety. Rodolfo and Manny did such an amazing job on my move from Concord to Fremont. Worked very quickly and were extremely attentive and careful with my belongings throughout the entire move. I know how hard moving is, but they made it seem like a piece of cake. I heard about Truket from a colleague and hired them for a 1br move. Talked to Aaron for booking and had Jonathan and Giovanni helping me move. Everyone was very professional.
