Clean enough room nice enough looking property room A/C sounds like a snow plow and to add insult to injury??? No coffee available till 7am and I made the mistake of talking to the most annoying and disgruntled overnight front desk person about it. This man and that A/C alone are reasons to make you question why it is worth the trouble of being a Marriott Platinum Member. And definitely a reason to never consider another get away weekend here in Trumbull. read more

Decent Marriott. Lobby appears to be somewhat recently renovated. Rooms definitely need to be renovated. Fitness room is way too small. Separate rooms for weights is also too small and a random mixture of dumbbells. For dining, they have a nice, large room for concierge breakfast. However, the floor is sticky. Sticking to the floor in the morning is not a pleasant feeling. Please mop it. Mop it daily, if necessary. Expect more cleanliness from a Marriott. read more

Great food at the event attended over the weekend. Didn't provide enough servers but we made it happen rooms were modern, comfortable and well designed. I was sad when I heard no food. Glad I booked elsewhere at a less desirable place for my weekend visit. Next yer I may try Marriott but I've heard they are quite expensive and don't work well with event holders. Therefore I would look for a different brand to accomplish my goals. read more

We arrived on a busy Saturday afternoon. We quickly checked in, found our room to be super clean, and immediately napped. I found the entire hotel to be quite clean, convenient to major roads, and the rooms to be pretty nice. My only complaint was the kids who were running up and down the hall all hours of the day. I was here to attend a luncheon and stay overnight for a Pastor's Installation church event in Bridgeport. I found the accommodations clean and comfortable. The rooms are well designed. The staff friendly and on point. I didn't look at TV much only to turn it on by force of habit. However I found the television reception a bit grainy and HD not very good compared to my own HDTV at home. The elevator was a bit rickety and unnerving at times. The food at the luncheon was awful but the breakfast buffet was awesome! Nearby location by a mall is quite convenient. Fact that Marriott would only credit days and not points due to master billing was very disappointing . read more

Terrible experience. Booked 4 months ahead, they couldn't find our reservation. Finally gave us the wrong rooms. Requested a crib, called ahead to confirm the crib, asked for the crib when we finally got checked in, had to ask for it again 5 hours later. Tried to get sheets for the pull out couch (since they didn't give us a room with 2 beds like we'd booked), had to ask again 2 hours later. Eventually had to camp out at the front desk for 30 minutes until someone got me sheets. Little issues as well. Shampoo bottles don't open unless you rip off the entire cap. Doors don't fully close unless pushed. Housekeeping comes far too early in the day (7am on a Saturday). And the staff acts exasperated if you need them for anything. All in all, I'd recommend going somewhere else. read more

My daughter and I stayed here overnight on a Saturday. It was a beautiful hotel and we were able to check in early as there were available rooms . The hotel staff were very helpful and helped me find local restaurants and stores. I noticed the hotel maids were equally as friendly. The only thing I did not try was the hotel restaurant because there was nothing on the menu that my daughter would eat. The only negative thing I will say is that there were no places close by to eat(except McDonalds). Other than that, it is a great place to stay. read more

This hotel was better before renovation because pool area was have restrooms and shower now No Shower !!!! If someone sh%^*#t at restroom clean it self at pool. if is ok for you no problem. And of course Trumbull Health Dept. if give for that renovation permission Thank-you for them.!!! read more

This is a great hotel. I use Marriott all over the country and this one is by far one of the best. Nice staff and customer service, nice amenities, good food etc. If anything the bar should expand their beer offerings. They only have local craft beers on tap unless you want bottled. The restaurant is excellent with great seafood and a wide variety of menu. They miss the point that most customers don't come from the region! I would most certainly recommend the hotel and will stay there again. Parking and location is easy. read more

When our junior ring dance pictures at my house got rained out last Saturday, I called the trumbull Marriott to see if we can use the lobby for pictures and they welcomed us graciously. It was a huge surprise to find that there were almost 200 students and parents from bunnell high school and the staff was wonderful. The general manager BeeBee (apologize for misspelling) and security guard James had the hotel guests that were checking in at that time feel comfortable with the crowd and managed to keep all of the students and parents in an area where we could capture all the kids together in photos. We thank you so much and appreciate you accommodating all these people unexpectedly. James filled many of the parents in on how good the hotel restaurant is and we are looking forward to trying it out! read more

Stayed overnight while working. Picked this because it offered room service. The room service menu was a bit limited, but the food was good. The attendant that delivered to me was very polite. Probably one of the most pleasant people that I encountered in the hotel. It was quiet and comfortable. Some of the decor seemed a bit dated, but the outside was very beautiful. Stayed here for a week during dec. and the first day we arrived, it snowed. The entire place was covered in a blanket of snow, very cool. This was exciting for us, being from CA. The staff were all very nice and friendly. Our hotel room was okay. Small and during a windy night somehow the furnace vent whistled the entire night. Actually more like howled. When I called for someone to repair it, all they did was stick a heavy blanket over it?? Umm, this didn't do the trick, because the next night of wind, back to howling. After that, our shower knob to turn the water off/on, got stuck. So it continued to flow at full force while filling up the tub, that seemed to stop up! Called the staff again..he was nice and actually fixed the issue, only for it to happen AGAIN the next day. Well, needless to say, we asked to change rooms. Which they did, but after about 2 hrs of us waiting. Oh, and don't even try the restaurant downstairs! Its mucho expensive and my chicken I ordered, still had a few feathers on it. And the roll was lying in my salad dressing. I pretty much lost my appetite after the feathers. All in all, I give 3 stars for the staff, but the rooms/food are mediocre at best. Oh, I would give 5 stars just on outside ambiance of the winter wonderland we got to see! read more

Check-in was easy, room seems clean, staff seems friendly. My reason for 3 stars is the lack of knowledge the staff has. I arrived right before 11 because traffic coming from NY was horrid, and I call room service at 10:58 with a hope that maybe, just maybe, I could get in a soup order before hey stopped serving at 11. Understandably, they said they couldn't serve me, but they offered that the bar in the hotel had late night snacks. I ask if this includes hot food, and after ringing the bar to check, they confirm it does. So, I trek to the bar (and it was quite the trek since I'm at the opposite end of the hotel), only to get the bar menu and read they stop serving at 11 as well. Ugggggh. Not the bar's fault at all, but I do wish the staff were more informed, as I wouldn't have wasted the time to come down if I was supplied with the proper info. Anyway, that's my vent! Just be warned there's no hot food to be had here after 11. read more

This location is a wonderful place to stay. The rooms were very nice. My only complaint was Alley who was a server in the resturant. She was extremely rude and disrespectful. It was the worst stay ever, I was not feeling well needed to get away from the family. Worst move ever! I have a hard time walking, walk with a cane. They put me in a room soooooo far from the elevator. The ladies at the desk were rude and seemed to not even notice that I had a cane, or maybe even needed help!. Stayed 3 nights on business. Hotel has a nostalgic feel with its "grand" staircases and Victorian style furniture. Room not big, not small. View was not great as it was facing somewhat into the interior, so I looked into other windows to my right and other windows directly across. The view to the left afforded a glimpse of the street. Location was good for me as I could walk to shops, various restaurants and the office where I had to do my work. read more
