Booked in Priceline I normally wouldn't book a Hilton Booked on Priceline I normally wouldn't book a Hilton because every time I get a horrible nights sleep on a Hilton bed! They're uncomfortable and make my back hurt so bad I can't walk the next day. When price line said this place had a pool and a hot tub I got excited. It was one of the mystery deals where you don't know which chain you're booking until after you pay. Ok maybe this will be Hiltons chance to turn my opinion around. Yeah... So there's an accident on the expressway slowing us down we've been the car for HOURS it's been a pretty crappy week could really use a few minute soak in the hot tub so I call the front desk to ask nicely if they could please grace us a few minutes when we arrive as it will be 9 minutes to 10 when we arrive and we'll still have to check in and change. The front desk had the opportunity to make my week better and my stay more pleasant and chose not to. It closes at 10 no exceptions. It's Hilton policy... too bad their policy isn't to provide an exceptional guest experience. My policy is to leave 1 star reviews for subpar services no exceptions. Needless to say I'll pay more moving forward to stay anywhere BUT a Hilton! #overit Just so my review is fair this Hilton did provide additional bedding for me sleep on so I don't wake up with a sore back. Here's to hoping I can walk in the morning. Room is clean. Edit: so grateful I packed my air mat. My back is only minimal sore this morning. Sleep score on Fitbit a 65. Lots of tossing and turning. From the moment I got there went to the front desk and the employee was so sweet and kind couldn't be more pleasant. Got into my room. The room was very clean and it's the only Hilton I've ever stayed in where they put my name on the TV, which was very impressive was a very nice touch. Breakfast was awesome. I booked 2 rooms for my coworkers. If they could have given you a 0 they would have. First of all. My first coworker had someone enter his room claiming it was his room. Had to get a manager involved. It was a very stressful scene to say the least. Then found the over booked the rooms and this gentleman entered someone else's room and had the same thing happen to them too. The second coworker his room was so dirty and no microwave a dirty mini fridge and just a dirty room overall. We will not be using this hotel ever again!!! read more

One of the worst hotels ever our friends tires got stolen. All of them. And the amount of auto places in the town is ridiculous. They probably sell them there. They also have basically no surveillance except for two cameras other than that everything was good. read more

We booked our rooms months before a wedding we were to attend. We booked 2 rooms adjoining. We added one more day to one room a month before. We were told at the front desk that since we booked so late we could not do adjoining rooms. My family members also did not want to change rooms just to go have adjoining rooms. It was fine until they said OH because u had different bookings (we added the extra day) you have to come down and check out and check back in, into the same room. I don't know how these keys work lol But checking out and in for the same room seemed pointless. We are from New York City and Chicago. I guess hotel keys in Connecticut work different? LOL They also kept saying the serve chick-fil-a. They do not. Its just the sauce. Also because of all the changes- The blonde lady, im pretty sure she was a manager, was rude and condescending. The room was sub par. The lotion on the wall was falling off, so much stains on the carpet, the towel hook falling off the wall . And so many people hanging out, outside of the hotel Playing music and drinking. Not in the hotel lobby. They do not have a bar. Just people outside of the front door hanging out with music. Where Am I?? LOL Thankfully you all are in Connecticut and standards there are low. I will never stay here. read more

A mix of plusses and minuses... A fresh clean lobby and friendly and helpful staff kicked off this short stay. The room was clean, and included a note on our headboard saying the duvet was also freshly cleaned. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was small, but functional, with a full line of Neutrogena soap and care products. But, It also included the loudest exhaust fan. Screamed like dying machinery. Toilet flushed sooo loud - we could hear next room's too, and we are sure the occupants have bladder control problems. No biggie - we were headed out to a nice Italian dinner at La Zyngara in nearby Bethel (highly recommended). So after a nice dinner we sat down to watch the World Series. No printed TV guide. Called the front desk and was directed to the channel before channel 1 The guide listing was of no use, as none of the channels corresponded to the guide. Guide said game on 15 - was on 13. Guide said college football game was on 56 - that was Housewives on Bravo instead. The front desk had no idea the guide was wrong, but gets high marks for going into a room to duplicate our experience with an apology. In room One Cup coffee was so bad... Breakfast was very nice, and the overall experience was mixed. If they fix the fan, toilet and TV guide it would make for a much more enjoyable stay. read more

First ....the staff were polite and kind. It was clean and comfortable except for the strong order of cigarette smoke and burn holes on the chair. Second....their attempt at a breakfast failed. I know COVID has changed much in the industry but a Orange the size of a large lime, a granola bar and a microwave breakfast burrito that was terrible and weak coffee. I did bring all this to the attention of the day manager before we checked out. My suggestion was Jimmy Dean Breakfast sandwich's and other breakfast items. read more

Right off the bat, we were impressed by Brianne at the front desk. She greeted us with a sincere smile, welcomed us, and after checking in, immediately recommended a restaurant to us that was one of her favorites. She seemed truly interested in her customers' comfort and well-being. Every hotel should have someone like her at the front desk. The hotel itself is set back from a busy road, but it was amazingly quiet at night and the street traffic never bothered us. The room was very clean, had everything we needed. The bed was mostly comfortable, except when my spouse got up or rolled over, it was a bit bouncy. (We are used to a mattress that doesn't move when your partner does.) The breakfast area was extremely clean, and the food choices were your standard hotel choices, but all-in-all, if we were to stay in the area again, we would definitely stay here. read more

I expected to get into the hot tub after a bunch of driving only to find 4 kids and 4 adults spending a lot of time in the tub while the jets did not run. Came back at 8:00 PM and found the pool empty and attempted to start the whirlpool and of course they it did not run. This looks like a poorly maintained pool area and my wife and I decided to give it a pass. They are shutting down the pool area for a month starting November 1, 2019. Probably to clean all the body junk out of it. Ick. What is it about low-end brand hotels and hot-tubs? Too much maintenance? I guess so. read more

Paris should be ashamed to attach her name to these hotels. We stayed in Danbury on Friday night (6/9) and a Hampton Inn in Toledo, Ohio on Thursday night (6/8). Both hotels were barely tolerable. Rooms were old, dated and pretty beat up. Both hotels were in terrible locations. The police showed up at the hotel in Danbury. First thing I did both nights was check for bed bugs. Thankfully didn't find any. Front desk people at both hotels clearly hate their job. Unfriendly and seriously grumpy. It's a pretty bad sign when you don't feel comfortable walking barefoot in a hotel room. Mattresses were totally worn out. Pillows were mush and useless. Bathrooms would probably not pass a health inspection. Breakfast was the same at both hotels--stale bagels, fake eggs and hash browns so salty they were inedible. During our cross country road trip we also stayed at Best Western Plus. Better, but not by much. We were traveling with a large dog. I guess these places save their worst rooms for people with pets. How about the same room for everyone since you have the nerve to charge extra for pets?? The best hotel we stayed at was a Hyatt. I would not recommend a Hampton Inn to anyone. Overpriced, unacceptable accommodations. Just plan awful. read more

We happen to hit this during a storm and there were many out of state? powerline workers in the place because of a storm that made it a little noisier (and some smoke) than usual. First off I want to say that I looked at a ton of reviews for so many different hotels in this area and this one had so many great ones all saying the same , how the front desk was so friendly and very clean , so I gave this one a shot, and I am so happy that I did!! A first impression walking into a hotel means everything, and Brianna at the front desk greeted us immediately with such a welcoming smile . I asked her if I can see the pool area ( because so many hotels pools are so dirty) and she right away let us know we can absolutely check it out but cannot enter until we have a room key (which is totally understandable). So we looked at the pool and spa and it was immaculate!! Clear water in the pool and jacuzzi as well !! We booked the room, and the whole time Brianna was AMAZING!!! She made myself and my family feel so welcomed and feel like we made the right choice for choosing this hotel ... which we did!!! We will be back for sure , and we hope to see Brianna again as well !! She made our stay even more memorable, keep her on your team because friendly front desk workers are hard to find these days!! read more

I would give 0 stars if possible. I was greeted by a dirty sink, I wish I had taken a picture but I didn't think of it at the time. That was actually not the biggest deal. The housekeeping staff knocked on our door THREE separate times although we had the do not disturb sign on the door. First,waking us up at around 9 am, then again at 11 and 11:30. Check out time is noon. When we complained at the front desk, the "helpful" staff member assured us that she would leave notification for the manager and we would get a refund. Didn't happen. When the hotel was contacted by the third party that we booked through, the refund was rejected. The hotel offered a coupon, but why would I want to stay at a hotel chain that has already proven to me that I can't get a good night's rest there? I stay here for business frequently. The rooms are always clean, the complimentary breakfast is nice and starts early, and the service is very friendly. There's plenty of parking out front and many restaurants in walking distance. The breakfast always has a few hot breakfast items and also the usual cereal, bagels, and fruit. read more

I have been staying at Hampton's for years and have always had good experiences, this time I can't say that. I checked into the hotel and was placed on the top floor (4) next to the elevator. After staying there for a couple of days I started to feel a sinus cold / infection coming on and credited it to being in a new state / environment - little did I know the hotel was the cause. I came home from the office on the 3rd day to a very hot hotel room, decided to turn down the AC and sit in the lobby with my laptop for 20 minutes while the room cooled off. Sitting in the lobby I smelled a very strong order of second hand smoke and determined it was coming from the vents. Upon asking the front desk staff about whether smoking was allowed in the hotel I was shocked to learn that indeed there were smoking rooms on non other than the 4th floor. So much for smoke free Hilton's. Needless to say I ended the week quite sick, with a sinus infection and feeling like my money would have been spent better elsewhere. So if you like to breathe secondhand smoke this is your hotel, otherwise it might make you sick... read more

Convenient access to the freeway, and a standard business hotel. Really friendly desk staff. A limited breakfast selection, but I still haven't gotten used to the hockey puck shaped florescent yellow egg things. The dining area is a bit tight when the morning rush is going through. Housekeeping needs improvement: the rug could use better vacuming, and there were some really long hairs left over on the shower wall from a previous guest. The elevator is verrrrry slow. Lots of parking spaces, and it was quiet-so it's not a bad choice for a short stay. read more

Good place for an overnight stay. I was forced off I-84 due to very heavy snow. Even though I was only 1.5 hours from home, I opted to get a hotel room. There are many choices at this exit. I ended up getting off the exit and seeing the Hampton Inn so that's where I headed. I didn't have AAA so didn't get a discount but I felt the $99 was reasonable, especially since it included free wireless internet and free breakfast. I was put in the room closest to the reception desk, and even though I could occasionally hear a voice or two in the hallway, the soundproofing in the hotel is good. The bed seemed to be a fairly standard hotel bed, which means it was too soft for me but may not be for others. The front desk staff was friendly and it was easy (and free) to park. read more

This is a decent hotel with a friendly staff but the wifi is so slow that I was forced to move to another hotel. So if you have any expectations that you will be working from your hotel room, you may want to look elsewhere. i just want to say that my family had an unforeseen horrible circumstance last minute. The manager Ryan was incredibly compassionate and understanding. I don't feel like that is common in today's customer service. I don't really want to specify what happened that made my family in this predictament for privacy reasons. Typical cookie cutter corporate but has an unusually well stocked exercise room and friendly staff. Easy on and off the highway, too. The room was clean and the bathroom well stocked. With no overhead light above the sink, it is a little too dark to shave. The pillows are round and soft, like tryin to lay your head on a pot bellied pig. Glad I brought my own pillow. read more

We had a mini fridge in our room, but it was placed on top of a dresser & my son almost got squished when it slid because he tried to open it. I had forgotten how uncomfortable hotel beds can be, this trip reminded me! Our room would not cool properly and that didn't help with sleeping. Very nice Hampton Inn. My wife and I stayed here for one night. The staff was very friendly and helpful. At check in, even though I forgot to use our Hilton Honors card when I booked the hotel they offered to credit points on it for our stay. The hotel is very clean. Our room was really nice. The only problem was we couldn't figure out how to keep the room warm. Every time we adjusted the thermostat it would automatically go back down to 67F. The room we were in was very close to the elevator, which was convenient, but the soundproofing around the door could have been better, I woke up a few times in the morning when I heard people outside the elevator. I forgot about both of those things when I went to the free continental breakfast, it was great! Delicious hot eggs and sausage, and a waffle maker! Plus, delicious coffee among other things. Overall, a nice hotel and we would definitely stay here again. read more

Where do I begin? The complaints I have are endless. The WiFi in this hotel was horrific. I planned to get some work done while I was here, but couldn't even get my Facebook feed to load. Additionally, I found hair in the breakfast food on multiple occasions. The bathroom smelt like sewage the entire week I was here and couldn't stand to be in it longer than ten minutes. The lights in my room flickered on and off all night for a reason unbeknownst to me. I went swimming once but was scolded like a child by an employee for being "too loud." Mind you, it was 2 pm and no one was in there but me and the people with whom I was traveling. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Crowne Plaza or The Holiday Inn if you're traveling through Danbury! read more
