There are certain routine services that are a must to have, one of which is making sure that bad bugs do not move in and take over my house and yard. I had such a service, very reliable, for many years. Life was good. But a few months ago, my guy, Dan, decided it was time to retire. Now, who do I go to? Who can I trust? I am not a big fan of large corporations with fancy trucks and inflated prices. Luckily for me, there appears to be a small, local brotherhood of self-employed bug guys who support each other, respect each other, and make sure their customers are well taken care of. My Dan gave me names. Long story short, James of Tru Pest Solutions was on that short list. For one thing, James hopefully won't be going anywhere for quite a while. He's much younger and energetic, a hard worker who told me he has been in this business for 17 years already. He impressed me with his kind, respectful, soft-spoken manner. And he assured me that whatever Dan had charged me, he would continue. Then he rolled up his sleeves and got to work. I watched as he roamed around my entire yard, patio, and big front porch, spraying with chemicals that will not harm my dog or my plants, and brushing down the spider webs in the nooks and crannies with his long handled duster. I am very pleased. I have a huge jungle of vegetable and flower gardens, so I know a new generation of bugs and spiders will be back in force by the time he returns. We agreed that this schedule should happen about every two months. Talk about job security! Better yet, he is the one who will keep track. He will contact me when it's time to do another assault. A+, 5star status, 4.8GPA!!! Had some unsightly bugs starting to show up outside, then in the garage, then in the kitchen. Looked this place up on Yelp. Gave em a call since they had good reviews and they earned each of my star ratings. Dude who answered the phone interacted with me like a was cool relative. They can't send anyone out for a day or two, but that's what happens when you run a legit business with excellent customer service. So the dude gets here, on time, when I was told he'd be here. Wifey was home and dealt with him...she's a pitbull. She showed him the bugs and where they were showing up. This guy, this stud, eases our concerns about the type of big it is and not to worry about a nest or infestation. Not only that, I had put some spray stuff down the night before and some dead bugs were laying around. He saw the dead bugs and told the boss (wife) that whatever I did was effective and would probably sustain any more bugs coming around for at least 30 more days. He added he could charge us for service and do his thing, but it wasn't necessary as of now. WHAT? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? HONESTY? KEEPIN IT REAL? This is 2019; people and businesses are out for themselves more than they do the right thing! But not this company. We knew/know nothing about bugs, exterminating, proving, services...they could've totally pulled the wool over our head and taken our money unnecessarily, but they didn't. Hats off to them.
