Gallant Pest Control has honored their warranty and returned multiple times to address the issue. They did not ignore the problem and made additional service visits. Despite repeated treatments, I am still finding roaches in different areas of the house. The number may be lower, but the issue is not resolved, which is disappointing. The technicians have been professional and courteous, but the results have not met my expectations. I had hoped follow-up visits would fully resolve the problem. Zach did a great job at project management and the two men that did the repair work even though it was so hot and I was really worried about them because they were in the heat and they were had full uniforms on and they were outside replacing wood rot, but they did a great job. I am providing an update to my previous review. Rigo contacted me next day after my review to make it right. Sent out a different guy the same week and provided me with a more thorough explanation of what may possibly be occurring at my house, found some unwanted subterranean termites during this inspection and offered to get it done right away should I choose to go with them. After, getting a second opinion from another company and talking it over with Rigo, I decided to go with them. They really put their best effort this second time around and I was happy to go with them as that's why I originally reached out. Rigo was great with communication, but Zack was a really nice guy who worked hard and loves his job. We have been using Gallant in our HOA for managing termites. Last year we found a small part of our unit infected with termites and they instantly addressed it. I have two dogs and with Sommer approaching I felt like I needed to spray my house inside and out. I went to Yelp and I found this spot. It had high reviews. I made an inquiry online and then a gentleman by the name of Edwin reached out Explain to Edwin that I needed to get my house sprayed something that would kill spiders, my ticks, etc. etc. Edwin agreed to show up at 10 o'clock. I liked Edwin so much that I ended up giving him four of my rental homes to Spray the business to Spray and the Home to Spray. I'm a repeat customer of Gallant Pest Control, originally for termites and now for a persistent flea issue we'd been battling for months. After a great experience with Dennis Lai on termites, I reached out again directly. Even though fleas are outside his primary specialty, he provided his honest feedback and recommendations. I ultimately wanted the fleas gone so I booked the treatment which price was more than fair. The treatment itself was handled by Zach Lai, who was also great. Zach took the time to explain the entire process before starting, ensuring I knew exactly what to expect. He was incredibly thorough, specifically focusing on the "hot spots" we had identified near our shed and throughout the house to make sure nothing was missed. I actually realized after the fact that I'd worked with two different members of the Lai family! It was a funny coincidence, but both of them provided the same high level of service. ZERO RATS CAUGHT. ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE. So hard to find great service these days. First and foremost, the inspector was late and I had to call to confirm the appointment after waiting all day. Not a great start. Second, the total charge was $924, itemized as follows: $300 for three traps that caught ZERO rodents. Two were found closed, and one contained cobwebs with no bait inside. $225 for screening and caulking entry points that appear to remain partially unsealed. $50 for basic door seals that retail for around $10. This is where the empty and cobweb filled trap was by. Maybe part of the scare tactic as the seal was worn and not bitten by any rodents. $300 for "spraying" that hasn't happened yet. The owner called back a week later and said he couldn't do anything and just argued with the facts presented. I had to end the unproductive call as he kept calling me "buddy" condescendingly. read more

He asked me if we had areas of concern, he inspected everywhere including 2 attic spaces. He identified no termites but couple areas of dry rot, and Gallant does a great job with wood repair so I know it will get taken care of. I've been using this pest control company for routine services. They are great at contacting you when your next service is coming up. Overall, this pest control company is doing a decent job. They show up on schedule for routine services and are generally courteous and professional. Since starting with them, I've noticed a reduction in pest activity around the house, which is reassuring. There have been a couple of times when I needed a follow-up between services, and the response time could definitely be improved--but aside from that, they seem to know what they're doing and the treatments have been effective for the most part. Kevin came out to provide an estimate for a rodent issue in my attic. After the inspection, he showed me photos claiming I had a full rodent infestation and even termite damage, which he said would require a separate service. I asked him to send me the photos, and he said he would, but I never received them. I also mentioned that I had just completed my annual termite inspection that same week, and they confirmed I had no issues. Another company that inspected the attic for rodents told me there were only a few droppings and nothing severe. Once I shared that information with Kevin, he stopped responding. On top of that, the estimate he provided was three times higher than the other three companies I had out for quotes. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company. read more

We had a great experience with the Gallant team when they came out to quote us for termite tenting and decided to move forward with them. Their staff was professional and easy to work with. However, I would not recommend the company they subcontract for the actual tenting. They require you to sign a contract stating they are not responsible for any solar panel damage, which was concerning since we have solar. Despite repeatedly asking them to be careful, we could hear the panels cracking under their feet during tent removal. While we can't prove the damage was caused at that moment, it was incredibly frustrating and avoidable. read more

So, my April 2nd review was deleted by Yelp with an emailed explanation stating it "appears" the information was written by AI. Uncertain of whether I should be flattered or insulted by this reason, I've just decided to repost another review; this time, in simple layman's terms, which, presumably, should align more with Yelp's "Content Guidelines". FACT - I rarely ever leave reviews. However, because of my extreme dissatisfaction with the services thus far and lack of urgency in addressing my concerns, I felt this one was warranted. FACT - I intended to give Gallant a fair chance to resolve my rodent issue, according to their proposed course of action. FACT - Within 1-2 months of moving in, there was scratching on the walls and ceiling, and eventually, a rodent made entry into our living space. After catching the first one with a $6 sticky trap from Home Depot, Gallant was hired to address the possibility of an infestation. FACT - Gallant has been contracted to perform both rodent trapping and rodent exclusion services. These services were quoted at a cost of over $1,000+ by Gallant rep Duane Bushner, in the presence of me, my father, and my landlord. FACT - The initial communication was great. However, customer service gradually declined to a point where it would take at least a week just to receive a callback from the office staff to schedule follow-up appointments or trap inspections. FACT - Duane's professionalism and customer service remained consistent. His inspections were thorough. He took the time to explain the overall service process and answered related questions. His standard of going above and beyond even led to discoveries of additional exclusion areas that previous crew members had overlooked. FACT - Despite reporting continued scratching noises and providing audio/video recordings upon request, the traps hadn't been checked for weeks. (Since 3/20/25) FACT - Still, not a single rodent has been caught through Gallant's trapping and exclusion process. FACT - There was a 30-day warranty given with the explanation that service would be complete and had to be "cut off" at some point. This warranty was also stated with the certainty of resolving my rodent issue within that time frame, which did not happen. FACT - As that timeframe ending neared, service priority shifted elsewhere. ***UPDATE*** FACT - Almost immediately after posting my initial review on 4/2/25, I received (6) missed calls from the owner, Rigo, and the office staff of Gallant Pest Control. FACT - Upon calling the office back, I was scheduled for an appointment on Monday, 4/7/25. Rigo insisted he could come out that same evening to check the traps. I was unavailable, so we rescheduled for Friday, 4/4/25. FACT - Rigo is now completing the remaining work with another crew member. The 30-day warranty has been changed to a 90-day. Additional bait traps have been placed, including (5) exterior yard stations, UV lighting/surveillance has been installed, and a DSV disinfectant treatment has been used. Follow-up appointments are typically scheduled within 24 hours, and I was even given two $25 gift cards for 'coffee'. FACT - The previous review was 2-stars and is now 3-stars due to Gallant's efforts to resolve the matter. Whether or not this influx of additional services is a response to my initial review, I still believe that no matter how big or small, every job should be managed with the same sense of urgency and professionalism, from start to finish. Escalating the services early on might have actually resolved the rodent problem within 30 days. What I do know is that it would have definitely avoided these reviews. I found evidence of termites in my craftsman bungalow and contacted 3 termite companies. Gallant's inspector, Dennis spent 2 hours inspecting my home and garage inside and out, getting into all the crawl spaces and attic to determine the extend of the problem. Dennis took pictures and also showed me physical evidence of termites, as well as some dry rot on the exterior, which will require repair. (By comparison, the other two company's inspectors only spent 30 minutes - 1 hour, they didn't ask about or go into the crawl spaces and completely missed evidence of subterrain termites. Dennis explained the preparation and treatment process and provided materials. The fumigation team, lead by Jesus was equally qualified and professional. On time, on schedule. Great crew. They knew what they were doing and worked carefully to wrap my house without damaging the trees. Very impressed. I've worked with a variety of carpenters, painters and other roofers so I have experience as a homeowner. Gallant, the office staff, Dennis and Jesus exceeded my expectations. Exceptional.
