Michael is quite literally the most talented hair stylist I've ever been to - I've been absolutely blown away both times I've visited. He is kind & thoughtful & SO knowledgeable about his craft & different types of hair! He uses the best, clean products & makes sure his clients have the best experience. I never know what to do with my hair & have always opted for the simplest cut, usually just a trim. When I came to Michael, I told him I wanted something different but easy to maintain. He took the time to get to know me & understand my lifestyle before providing the BEST recommendation & haircut! We didn't do anything too drastic the first time so I could see if the direction we were going worked into my lifestyle & then we did more the second time. It's been amazing & I love the change! Michael does magic!!! I've been going to him for a few years now. My hair is super fine and thin. I generally get highlights and keep my hair short-medium length. He uses the highest quality products and makes sure to protect your hair from breakage. During COVID, I decided to color my hair red. After a few weeks, I wanted to be blonde again. Well, Michael made it happen. After the second visit, I was back to the same blonde before red. During the process, Michael made sure to protect my already fine, thin, and damaged hair from further damage. I loved the result. I came into Truth Salon with about two-year-old overgrown balayage and fried ends. My intention was to go dark brunette for the winter. Michael and I discussed a plan for my hair before he started working and I am SO happy with the results!! I ended up doing a dark brunette demi color on my natural hair and we added matching tape-in extensions. I had never had extensions before and didn't even know there was a "tape-in" version, but I am obsessed with them! The whole process of applying the extensions took less than 45 min. They look so natural on my head and Michael blended them so well with my natural hair. I get so many compliments on my hair and I love the way I look with long dark hair! First of all, I have been looking for a hairstylist for over two years now. A good hairstylist is hard to find!!! Without any luck, I just gave up looking, reading reviews and giving other salons a try. Luckily, one of our staff members was super thoughtful and handed me Michael's business card. I waited until I have the availability to book an appointment with Michael to ensure that I can make the trip to Arlington (definitely worth the travel!!). I love that he is very accommodating & professional. When I call, I received a call&text back within the same day. Super responsive!! He also has a text apt. reminder - super convenient for a busy person like me!! The Truth salon boutique is a super cute and convenient location. It is right off route 66. Parking is also not a problem - parking was easy to find and affordable. I sent Michael two photos of the look I was going for. He did 110x better than what I have expected. Mind you, the Bolyage technique is something that most hairstylists cannot grasp - I know this because I have been to (3) different salons and tried many times to get the hairstyle and received different results. However, Michael was able to accomplish this! He is patient enough to stay one more hour to ensure the result is good. Michael doesn't just do subpar work - he makes sure he executes the way his Clients' hair would look pretty and feel confident after a good hairdo!!
