I signed up for personal training at what I understood was a flat rate. After learning about additional charges that were never explained to me when I signed up (80 dollar initial scan fee, 50 dollars a month for inbody scan, 3% processing charge, 80 dollar gym membership) I was very alarmed. I thought I was signing up for a flat rate of 640, but with the additional charges it ended up being 800 dollars a month - none of this was outlined in the contract I signed. When I asked him to send me the contract so I could verify the fees are not in the contract, he refused and said it was all explained verbally to me (which is 100% a lie and if it were true, it's unethical to charge customers based on 'verbal' agreements). He ended up not charging me for two months of the gym - which if it would have ended there I would have been completely fine and not feel the need to write this. I decided to complete my 3 month contract and after that I would not be able to financially support 800 a month and would no longer be signing up for additional months. When I informed Taylor I would be cancelling I received an e-mail with a notice of my cancellation and in the notes "Has been a pain in the a** since day 1" when I confronted him about this he said "oh it's just a jovial joke, you know", didn't apologize! and went on to belittle me saying I am the problem and he never has issues like this. I have never felt so disrespected and talked down to in my entire life. All I was trying to do was understand additional charges that were not in my contract nor communicated to me and instead of realizing there is a gap in his business model he shifts the blame to me "I've never had this problem with anyone but you". Just so disrespectful, I am extremely appalled. I would never ever recommend anyone doing business with Taylor. This is not how you treat someone paying you 800 dollars a month. And to anyone from the gym who is going to respond to this.... it isn't about the money, it's about being ethical with your contracts and how you treated me. Five stars for the gym, equipment, and my amazing trainer. Zero stars for the way they treat their customers.

I then found out she was trainer through a friends posts on FB but didn't really commit to wanting a trainer then. Then I received another sign when I saw a business card that had the 1stPhorm logo on it(a supplement company I started following in 2015). I picked it up and Lucy's name was on the other side and I thought oh wow she's also affiliated with 1stPhorm. I still toyed around with the idea of getting a trainer but still not committed yet. Early 2018 I decided to start making changes and getting healthier on my own. March I lost my uncle due to heart attack, I kicked my own ass for another few months going from 320 down to 265lbs with lots of cardio, crash dieting and energy drinks and fat burners. Guess what I fell off the wagon and started to gain my weight back. November 2018 I put my foot down and said nope not going back and contacted Lucy and said I'm ready to commit to changing my life. I gave you some of my back story because I was nervous about getting a trainer (how can I afford one?), I was lacking confidence in myself to go work out in a big box gym and not know what I was doing, I was afraid of being judged by others. I was unsure of how to build and structure routines and etc. It is an investment to get a trainer, eat right and etc but it is an investment in yourself that if you stick to and learn the ropes the investment is well worth the life style you will gain. So what happens when you decide to commit to Lucy and CabaFit? Day 1. We met up and talked about all the above and talked about my goals. We talked about my nutrition, current health issues and habits and then we assessed my current weight, measurements and posture. Lucy made the process professional, fun and she handled with care. ( for some I could see how this can be personal and hard news to hear, but you have to know where you're at in order to start). From there we hit the floor running. There is not one day of training that is duplicate of a prior session. Lucy keeps your body guessing what's next. (That is a good thing and you'll learn why). She will also adjust your meal plans throughout your training with her, you'll learn how food is now used as fuel for your body vs fuel for comfort. Having exercised at an on-again/off-again basis and with no real diet structure, I really wanted some guidance with a diet plan and motivational instruction to show me how to workout correctly- what exercises I should do to accomplish my goals. On the first day, Chad asked me what my goal was, and I told him that I wanted to lose weight and get defined. Chad is great! He is absolutely what I need to get me to where I want to go. He is positive and motivational, and every workout has been fun and different. That's right... they are FUN! Our workouts are intense, and I feel incredible afterward. Also, the workouts are so constructive and I feel like I have made so much progress that, on the days I don't see him, I am motivated to reinforce our progress it by doing what I need to do between sessions. Chad is a great accountability partner, and he wants me to succeed. On the days that we are not doing our workouts, I do cardio at my recreation/workout facility. For the first time in my life, I am actually careful of what I eat! Imagine that! I lost 10 lbs. in 2 weeks and 19 lbs in 1 month! For me, the sessions with Chad are like a game day in a sport. We both know if I am ready for the game that day; if I have "practiced" for it during the week by sticking to my diet plan and exercising during the week in between sessions. He is absolutely wonderful at providing positive motivation and positive reinforcement, but I know that this is my body; my workout; my decision. I have to want to succeed as much as he wants for me to be a success story. This is one of the best things that I have ever done in my life. I feel better, I look better, I am happier, and I am still seeing progress and improvement every week. I have gone from a size 38 (40 in some pants) down to a size 35, and they fit very comfortably! My wife loves the way that I look and she is very proud of me. I joined Tribe 5 years ago. Before Tribe I was a distance runner and did classes at Equinox. I was running a marathon a year and working out 5 times a week yet I was always getting hurt and really wasn't seeing the results I was looking for. I initially came to Tribe to try and get a faster marathon time but before long I was completely hooked. I went from an endurance runner to a sprinter. What made me change my outlook was the results I saw from Tribe workouts. My body completely changed. I finally saw improvement in areas that I didn't see before. When I was running long distance I always had something that was tweaked/pulled/aching. Because Tribe teaches you proper running and movement mechanics, I haven't been injured since (knock on wood). I love that even after 5 years each time we are on the track I feel like I am working on things and getting better. It never gets boring or routine. I think my very favorite part of Tribe is the people. There are people of all ability levels and ages. You don't have to be an athlete or have run track in HS. It feels like a team with people encouraging and cheering for you instead of competing against you. The coaches are AMAZING!

I have trained with them every year, and returned every break since I first started coming here 12 years ago. In my developing years I went to weekly skills with Ryan where I learned and perfected key fundamentals of my game. My striking ability and control on the ball is thanks to my years of drills with Ryan. I have also been apart of Jeff's keeper trainings as a striker, and I have been able to see first hand how much keepers improve over the weeks. The private sessions with these guys are unmatched and always made me feel more confident on the field. There has been no program that has pushed me as hard and supported me as much as these guys. The trainings are tough, the guys are tough, but they work. I always go back to college as a leader in fitness thanks to their training sessions. Cannot recommend them enough.
