    After having custom made clothing every year for a work event (different tailors depending on the…read morecity we live in) this experience was so poor I would never recommend JT Vinson/Hipp clothing. Around June of 2022 my husband and I came in to have suits and shirts made for a work event in September. After picking everything out and eager for it's arrival I brought in a couple items to be altered. July 14 we picked up those 3 items which were altered beautifully and paid for them. After being told it would take a month for our items to come in we return September 2nd but ONLY to pick up my husbands shirts and a pair of pants and pay for almost all of the balance. Well every single shirt was made with the incorrect measurements, and were completely unwearable. But we had no choice as we had already paid for them and had to fly out for our work event September 4th. He had to make it work by hiding the ugly fitting shirts under blazers. Meanwhile I still didn't have my 2 shirts, my 2 suits, my husbands blazer and all hjs shirts had to be remade. October 22nd 2022 Kim sends us an email saying "I have your shirts here and Seth's remade shirts" Well I no longer needed them but we had already paid so I had her mail them to us. My husbands shirts STILL didn't fit. Now instead of tight arms and large waist they made the arms huge and the waist tiny. I emailed every month until November 7, 2022 Kim responded with "Yes the fabric has arrived at the workroom, and the green suit is in production, I will do my best to get it to you for the Thanksgiving holiday.  Thanks for your patience, I appreciate it and will give you a shout when I have the tracking number.  The other suit fabric has not yet come back into stock nor has the sport coat for Seth, let me know if you'd like to coordinate another outfit or I'm happy to look for a similar fabric for you both. Thanks again, I'm looking forward to seeing this suit on you! " Seems great, I thought "Eh not much she can control since the fabric was out of stock but alright I'll wait a little longer maybe I can wear it for the holidays" November 23rd I received a message saying "It looks fantastic, I took a photo, it's so fun! Unfortunately it's not going to fit you, the workroom mixed up your measurements, very disappointing. You've been so patient, thank you!" Finally in December 2022 I receive a box that contains my husbands remade shirts and my two blouses. It's now January 2023 and Kim emails "Your pants arrived yesterday and anticipate the jacket very soon, cannot wait to see it on you!!" I mentioned how I needed it before February 5th and told her to cancel my other suit and shirts, my husbands blazer and I would settle up on the payment. Weeks go by and no response. Finally February 26th she emails me how sorry she was, sends me the payment link and hopes I accept her apologies, this is probably the 12th apology and now it's becoming a pattern. Keep in mind we already paid over 3k and owed $435 plus tax for the remaining of my green suit But Kimberly decided to charge my card without my authorization for $1,021. Thankfully I had it locked and now I was furious. - 1 Suit 7 months late: had to be remade - 1 Suit never made ; 1 suit jacket not made - 6 items 4 months late - Almost every item needing to be remade - Improper calculation of our payments (hand written) - Non authorized charge of my card - Lack of response - Constant apologies without any action to back it up - Now a portion of my payment is held up I understand a supplier being out. However I don't appreciate the commitment to "yes we can get that on time, please pay us" and then there is no follow through. While I enjoy Kimberly's upbeat personality and passion for clothing I can not express What a terrible experience we had. No after going through my bank account I notice I paid for at least half of the suit!! After emailing them about this experience and requesting a refund for the over payment or the suit jacket I was met with no response. I followed up daily and still have not received a response.

    While greeted with a hello upon entering the store, which I'll admit is in a great location and had…read morean attractive enough selection to pull me in while walking to a local coffee shop to work, I quickly realized the staff seemed far more interested in their phones than in customer service. The blazers and jackets immediately caught my eye, especially since that's exactly what I'm currently in the market for. I even found myself eyeing the bourbon in the back and thinking maybe I should finally treat myself to a new suit. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of being left alone versus being swarmed the moment I walk into a store. Great representatives know how to strike that balance perfectly. Unfortunately, that balance was completely missing here. Despite walking through the entire store, nearly every employee remained glued to their phones, with only one person even looking up to acknowledge my presence. It ultimately left me disappointed, not because I expect over-the-top attention, but because I genuinely appreciate a great suit shop and the experience that is supposed to come with it. A quality suit store has always been about more than just expensive jackets on a rack. The experience, professionalism, atmosphere, and attention to detail are just as much a part of what customers are paying for as the suit itself. Unfortunately, it feels like John and Craig has completely lost sight of that at this location. It's honestly a shame to see standards fall this far in an industry built around presentation, professionalism, and service. ---- Update: After posting this review, I was reached out to directly by Alan, and I do want to add that the response from him was immediate, professional, and sounded genuinely concerned. It actually gave me the impression that the goal of this organization truly is to provide a great customer experience and that, unfortunately, this particular visit simply was not their day to shine. Based on the way this was proactively handled, I have updated both my review and star rating to reflect that effort. I also plan to stop back in again when I get the chance, because first impressions matter, but so does the way a business responds when concerns are brought to their attention. I'm hopeful my next visit will better reflect the standards and experience this brand appears to strive for, and if it does, I will gladly update both my review and star rating accordingly.
