I came in feeling puzzled about what I was going to wear to a party I will be attending tomorrow afternoon, and it's safe to say he treated me like family! Tragedy struck my family as my father was failing in a nursing home. I decided to update my charcoal gray suit and head to MW to buy some pants. I asked them to help expedite, not knowing when it would be needed and I would be flying at a days notice. Same day, I got the bad news. I called back to MW and see if they could push the alteration faster. They obliged and it was ready to go a day earlier. I can't thank you enough for the help, you guys are fantastic. read more

Rented a tuxedo and was told I would have to pay a $40 rush fee given that the event was 1 week away. The clerk improperly measured my pant length and put the wrong event date in the system. The tux arrived earlier than promised which was great. Received a text to come and try it on and make sure it was properly fitted. Upon trying on the pants, it was obvious they were too short. The clerk "suit-splained" to me that they were the right length...The following morning, I started receiving emails that my tux rental was due back (the day before the event) and failure to return it would result in $20/day late fees. The clerk at the store told me it was "adjusted" to correct the date. As there is no one to take responsibility for correcting this error and ensuring I do not get charged an additional $60, I returned the tux without wearing it to the event and settled on my own black suit. Pretty embarring to show up to a black tie event in a non-tux. So, overall, I wasted $300+ on a suit that was improperly fitted and I never got to wear. My suggestion for anyone, is to buy a nice suit for this amount of money. read more

This place is great! Harold greeted me as I walked in and helped me find a suit that fit my body type well. The man was patient, knowledgeable and most importantly honest about what is the right choice for me. I really appreciated that. I just picked up my suit after Kate helped me get it altered and it looks and feels fantastic! This place is in dire need of some more recent reviews because the staff is very friendly and helpful, and does not deserve the current rating they have. Will definitely be back! read more

Two weeks ago, my son placed a rental order with Men's Wearhouse. When he went to pick it up, we discovered the order was incomplete in the system and wasn't processed. With the event date quickly approaching, it was impossible to get the suit ordered in time. Josh, the manager, quickly understood the urgency of the situation and resolved the issue by selling us a comparable suit at a similar price. I want to commend Josh for his outstanding assistance and customer service. Exceptional customer service and professionalism are hard to come by these days. This could have easily been a 1-star ordeal, but thanks to Josh, it's a 5-star experience. read more

I have a legitimate medical condition that prevents me from wearing a mask. For the past year, I've been very diplomatic about this and every business I've encountered has been incredibly accommodating and respectful, including businesses that require contact. I explained my condition to an employee after she told me I had to wear a mask and then she told me I had to stand by the door, while refusing me service. After asking her if she's going to deny a person with a medical condition service, she said "I'm not denying you service" - - after she literally denied me service. Then she said "I don't want to fight with you sir," with the most patronizing tone I've heard from a customer service rep in years. I'm headed to a competitor who said it's no problem and they'll help me. Glad to give my money to a company who treats the medically impaired like fellow humans instead of burdens to be swept away like trash. You can see my past reviews, I don't make this sort of review any type of habit - - I really go out of my way to note positive events and uplift those who handle business and customer interaction well. But this really stood out to me as a dehumanizing event that should seriously alarm the management of Men's Wearhouse. I was discriminated against due to my medical disability and they've got zero operational procedure to accommodate someone with a medical condition, and I'm vaccinated as well. 2 minutes agoNEW-Edit Went to Men's Wearhouse, Gainesville Florida, for my wedding in February. Found the suit we wanted to rent, on "try on" day when I put the pants on the clasps to tighten them were broken. I was assured if I left them there the tailor would fix them. I left them, went back on the following Friday to pick them up and was told they were fixed, tried them on and one clasp was still broken, the older lady that appeared to be the most experienced one there put suspenders in the bag and told me just use those. On wedding day putting on the pants both clasps were broken and the pants could not be tightened to fit correctly. I used the suspenders but felt like I was wearing clown pants because the waist was so big and being held up by suspenders. Also the older lady did nothing but belittle the younger guy whom appeared to be new during my whole visit. Plus I got an email directly from Men's Wearhouse asking for a review but when it was subpar they sent me an email saying they wouldn't publish it because it did not meet their standards. Way to hide a problem Men's Wearhouse! Do Better!!! Everyone else stay far away from here! read more

I ended up purchasing my own pants and shirt on the day of the event since nothing fitted although measurements were taking over a month before the event. I was Charged $20 late fee for returning everything the 2nd day after my wedding. I would not recommend renting anything with them since they will not fit you although they take your measurements a month in advance and you will not know that until you pick up the suit 3 days before the event. read more

My boyfriend went here on a Saturday to be fitted for a wedding. Was greeted by a salesperson when walking in who assisted him immediately. He measured and brought over items to try on and stated he would be right back to check if anything needed tailoring. After waiting a couple of minutes for him to return he walked out onto the floor to find him assisting another customer. He waited some more but after almost 20 minutes of waiting he changed and walked out. The salesperson saw him walk out and followed and apologized stating he had forgotten he was in there!!!!!! I know that it's human to make mistakes but as someone who has worked retail I can say I've never told a customer I'll be back to check on them and left them waiting a half an hour. read more

Unfortunately I had a decent exchange when I was BUYING my suit but picking it up is the reason I'm even leaving a review. The customer service; or lack there of was horrendous. What should have taken maybe 5 minutes to pick up my ready and paid for suit took about 20 minutes. The "BEST" part of this exchange was they were "out" of garment bags; a menswear store mind you. They instead gave me a plastic dry cleaning bag (essentially a trash bag) for a suit I paid over $400 for. I've had a better suit buying experience at JC Penny's. 0/10 would not recommend. read more

When I entered the store I was immediately greeted by a great customer service representative, shortly after he was interrupted by another customer service representative that basically told him that I was his customer, mind you I have never stepped foot in that store. In an effort to keep the peace, I went along with it. Minutes later, another customer came in to pick up an alteration. The first customer service representative went to assist that customer with his pick up, at which point the customer service representative that just pushed his way into helping me, left me, pushed his way into helping the customer that just walked in and left me waiting for well over 15 minutes. I then decided to leave the store, this was the most unprofessional experience I have ever had while shopping. I later went to Jos A Banks where I know I can get consistent customer service and purchased 3 suits and 2 pairs of dress shoes. To be clear the customer service representative that provided me with the worst possible service experience was tall, had medium length hair, loved to cut you off while speaking and had a hell of a chip on his shoulder. Would suggest that he I replaced by the short African American Kid that provided the customer service you would expect when you are about to spend a 1200 on a suit. read more

First, they don't have the size jacket we need. Pants needed altering. Have to order a jacket. Go to pick up the suit and my husband isn't given the jacket. Now he has to return to the store. Has to leave a day late for a wedding on Saturday in Tennesse because of your incompetent staff and you don't open until 10 am today. This the father of the bride who you are inconviencing. After having a bad experience at the Mens warehouse in Ocala we went to this Men's Wearhouse in Gainesville. We told Miss Andria how we were treated by the other one. She apologize for them and told us she would take care of it. She really made our day. She helped find everything we needed. Made suggestions for what she thought he would like. She also let us know they alter women's jeans too. Which was very helpful because we were about to go somewhere else to do my alterations. She also have us a nice discount. When we returned a few weeks later to get our alterations .Mr. Lance was very helpful finding more Chino's and helping us get more alterations. We look forward to going back there. They are very helpful and friendly. read more

My fiancé made an appointment online to try on some suits for our upcoming wedding. As soon as we entered, a sales consultant came up and asked why we were there to which we replied that we made a 1pm appointment to try on suits. She was so flustered and acted like she had no clue of any appointments. She went over and asked another sales consultant about the appointment and that consultant actually acknowledge that we were expected to come in at the time we scheduled. We heard her go back and forth with her coworker about trying to push us off on her but her coworker was too busy to take us. After that issue was settled, the original consultant came back to us and tried to help us find a suit. She had us go back and forth across the store 5-6 times before actually looking in their system for a specific blazer that my fiancé liked on the website. The Blazer was out of stock and she said the in-store Tailor was pricey and wasn't sure if we'd still be interested. We were so confused by the treatment we received there but it made it clear that Men's Wearhouse is a big waste of time. Kids were running around and screaming and there was no structure to the store whatsoever. First and last time we will ever try shopping at Men's Wearhouse. read more

AWFUL. We went in to rent a tux for our sons up coming wedding. ( hopefully that goes better than this). We also ended up buying a suit, two shirts, and two ties. Worst mistake ever. Husband was fitted and was told that pants would have to be ordered as they were not in stock. That was fine with us since they said it would get here in a couple of days. As promised pants arrived and we were called. When we got to the store hubby tried pants on and they were too tight. We were then told we would have to pay 31.00 to alter the pants. Why, would I pay to alter pants that you ordered too tight? I asked to speak to manager but was told that she was on vacation. Spoke to asst manager Eric Mills II. He was rude, condescending and just obnoxious. He told us if we didnt like it then return the items and go somewhere else. Guess what? we did and even got a better price. Praying that the wedding rental goes ok. We will never shop nor recommend Mens Wearhouse to any of our friends or family. read more

Passable for college kids that need a suit for their first job interviews if you get a sale that puts you around $200. However, once you know better and get on salary, you'll see why you need to go somewhere better. The tailoring is poor and the customer services acts like used car dealers. Search for mens wearhouse employee reviews to see how many former employees say they're trained to lie and say a suit looks good when it doesn't just to make the sale. read more

2 stars for the store, 5 STARS for the new Manager, ANDREA. I brought my suits in for alterations to wear to an out of state wedding. Days later I was called to pick up as they were ready. Salesman was less than thrilled that is all I was there to do. He was in/out of the back room several times and finally after 12 minutes, located my suits. Unable to try on due to time constraints I did so a day before our flight. To my dismay NO alterations were made! ANDREA, recently promoted to store manager, actually came to our home 32 miles away, remeasured me, took the suits, had them altered and shipped them to me in time for the wedding. Andrea definitely went above and beyond expectations, is an excellent representative of the company and was without a doubt the right choice for the manager position. The other salesmen could and should learn from their manager's brand of customer service. read more

Very poor experience. We have rented and purchased suits in the past from this location and had a good experience. Sadly, we will likely not be back. Rental associate who helped us appeared to have NO idea what he was doing. The rental associates were very busy, sales associates just walking around talking to one another and sneaking into back room to eat. Rental associates were also apparently solely responsible for answering phone even though they were with customers and had customers waiting. Tux fit poorly when picked up (not shocking given the initial experience). Was told that this style tux just fit baggy, even though in the past that was not my experience. Then never notified when tux was ready after alterations; actually I was notified, the day after I had already picked it up. The bow tie and the vest looked worn and shabby and one button of the vest was falling apart. When I returned it the next day I showed the associate and he said "ok", not that he was sorry that we were given a tux with a broken and falling apart button, just "ok". This is not even the totality of the issue we had in renting from this store. read more
