Honestly if you're wanting a tea or a drink this place is great for that...but that's about it. I've been a number of times and really have had decent experiences and again would recommend the Nile's location for to-go drinks only. Everything else is sub par...the dan dan noodles may have been the worst I ever had. The noodles were over cooked and stuck together, there was hardly any toppings and it was not at all as it was described. We also got the "Chinese burger" honestly this was also not something I would ever get again. The "bun" situation was dry and had no flavor...also the pork had no flavor and was also dry...I can see why the girl behind was questioning if it was even on the menu still because clearly no one is ordering it and when a customer does they're surprised. Now what really put me off (aside from the surprise piece of aluminum foil found in our food) was the horrible customer service. While waiting for our drinks and food to come out all I hear is one of the employees behind the counter commenting on multiple items on our order. Is it really that hard to make a drink and add extra ice without questioning why you need to add extra ice if that's the special request? It's requested because maybe we like our drinks to not be luke warm and prefer them cold. Then to make comments and being surprised an item was ordered ("chinese" burger). It was on the menu it sounded interesting we wanted to try it...after hearing the reaction it honestly made me second guess placing the order. Then to top it off when the drinks were ready our name was called...I asked if the food would be coming later and the attitude I received back being told that it takes longer threw me off completely. Yes I asked if the food would be coming later but I was asking to ensure that they knew we also had a food order. The attitude implying that I didn't understand that it'll take a bit long was not necessary. Needless to say if we ever come back our orders will be ONLY for drinks, we will NOT be ordering food and I will hope to not have much of any interaction with the staff at this location. It will strictly be pick up & go. Hopefully your team takes some time to work on their customer service skills cause it's lacking. read more

I went here for boba with a friend. She appreciated how there were a variety of non-caffeinated flavor combinations. I opted for the matcha dalgona with boba. It was delectably foamy and sweet. My only regret was that it was this particular flavor combination didn't come with an option for a larger size. It really hit the spot for a cold, foamy beverage with perfectly chewy boba. I also tried out their house special braised beef noodles. They were great, but I wish there were more vegetables and noodles. (This was just personal preference.) The beef was well braised, seasoned, and excellent. Patrons order from kiosks and pick up items from the front desk. It would have been nice to interact more with staff, but the system is definitely set up for efficiency. Parking is a shared plaza private lot with plenty of spots during the weekdays. I was thoroughly impressed by the variety of flavors that is available at Tsaocca. I am quite picky with my boba, but I was super excited to try Tsaocca out! I ordered the mango mochi with whipped cream to go. They served me my drink without a lid? I was so confused and asked for a lid. I genuinely believed that they probably forgot that my drink was ordered "to go"... However, the worker passive aggressively told me that if I wanted her to put a lid on it, then she would have to "scoop ALL" of the whipped cream off... I'm not sure how she expected me to travel with my drink without a lid when I ordered it to go... I had to ask her if I could get a lid anyway... I guess they don't have dome lids? Lol Anyway... The drink was delicious. The only critique I have is that I wish they blended their ice better. There were random large clumps of ice throughout the drink. In particular, the braised beef rice bowl has nice and tender meat with a flavorful sauce and fresh veggies. The rice is quite fluffy and the sauce is balanced quite well with just the rice amount of spices. The crispy pork cutlet is also fried very well, with tender meat and a deliciously sweet yet tangy sauce that will delight any fan of Tontaksu. Overall, worth a visit if you are anywhere in the area. I had the perfect Mango bingsoo treat here after a lovely Thai dinner close by. Mangos were ripe, sweet and juicy. The roasted coconut flakes toppings and corn flakes on the bottom were just chef's kiss. The side sauces, sweetened coconut cream and mango puree, were a neat addition to elevate the shaved ice further. It is large enough to share between 2 people. They had at least four or five people behind the counter, working busy, making drinks and food. They were also quite a bit of orders being picked up that were probably done online as well. Really solid bubble tea spot in the area! Matcha Tornado is my favorite and hits the spot every single time. I get it with 0% sugar and it's still perfectly "sweet". I'm not exactly sure what else is inside besides the salted cold foam but everything gets blended and it turns into a divine treat. We've been frequenting Home Depot just as much so now we can't visit one without the other lol. My husband's favorites are the Mango Green Tea and Brown Sugar Milk Tea wOreo that are also 0% sugar. They have added injeolmi (Korean bean nutty based powder) bingsu with fruit like strawberries or melon or mango. But there was so little injeolmi powder and after seeing pics of some other reviews I thought they definitely did not put enough for a regular sized bingsu for $12.95. They have good customizable bubble teas about $6.50 as a base then the upcharge for bubbles or popping or crystal etc. They have a good variety of bubbles and all good and up charges of like $0,75. They also sell corn dogs and Korean style chicken. Seating indoors and it's warm inside. They have toys gifts for points earned when you put your phone number in. So add your number when you order. It's so nice they have a location right outside the Niles Hmart because it's a perfect snack to get after grocery shopping! As you walk in, there's two kiosks to order drinks and food so that was really convenient. Our drinks came out soon after and we were surprised how big the drinks were. The cookie butter milk tea (70% sweetness) was the perfect amount of sweetness for me and it was so good! The tea flavor balanced out the cookie butter flavoring and there were biscoff bits in the drink. The taro green milk tea was also incredible with bits of taro throughout the drink. The boba here is quite overpriced compared to other boba spots around the area. The drink was good. I did get it with less sugar and it was still pretty delightful. Most of the drinks are one size which is too big of a portion size for myself. The popcorn chicken was good but could have used more frying time for more crisp. Hooray! This place finally opened! They have several locations, including one in Lincoln Park, it was great that they decided to open one up here in Niles. The owner of this place use to own the Dream Place, and it's great to see another Chinese-owned business. If you don't know what "Tsaocaa" means, it's "early tea" in Chinese. They have plenty of options to choose from. There are two kiosks if you don't want the pressure of ordering in person, where there are detailed pictures and description of the beverage. It is highly customizable with toppings, even the amount of sugar you want in the drink. I ordered the strawberry green tea, with milk foam with 0% sugar, and it was scrum-diddly-umptious. What a refreshing and delightful treat. My drink came out pretty promptly after ordering. The seating area had several tables and chairs, including a super long solid-wood bench along one side of the wall. The place had a perfect balance of seats and relaxing, or just going to grab a drink to-go. Place wasn't super-load from the making of the drinks, and the overall ambiance was great. BATHROOM REVIEW: Located past a semi-long hallway past the main drink making area, the bathroom is a single-person bathroom for mens and women. This place, as of July 2023, is super new. A new boba shop that does their drinks excellently. The interior of this place isn't as flashy as some of the other shops I have been seeing open, but to me, the flavor of the drinks is more important. They have plenty of options for everyone, and they show off the fact that they use real taro for their drinks instead of powder. For sure, I will be trying out a taro drink next time. I like that most of their drinks have the option to reduce the sugar since I don't like overly sweet drinks. It's new so I'm sure they're still learning, but I actually got to the place a little before they opened. The open sign was on and the door was open, making people think they can enter.
