every time I go, it's always consistent. Not one time have I gone where my drink hasn't matched a mimic the last drink that I ordered from there. Quality consistency and taste are integral for being a repeat customer. Recommend 100 times. Ordered and within two minutes, received my drink.

Though this spot serves up a wide variety of teas, waffles, desserts, and more -- my biggest reason to visit this spot is their selection of delicious savory entrees. This is all served up in a cute spot with fun decor, though it can get quite busy at times so it's probably not the best spot for a long hangout with friends during peak hours (though their menu is probably the most diverse of any restaurant in this shopping center). Service is not super slow given how busy they are, but don't expect to be in an out super fast if you're not ordering ahead. Prices are quite competitive for this area, especially considering the fairly generous portion sizes. Though Tsaocaa has quite a bit of delicious Korean entree options, I was actually looking more specifically towards Taiwanese, Hong Kong, and Japanese food. Based on the quality ingredients used in their drinks, I had faith in their food being equally impressive and it delivered. In particular, the braised beef rice bowl has nice and tender meat with a flavorful sauce and fresh veggies. The rice is quite fluffy and the sauce is balanced quite well with just the rice amount of spices. The crispy pork cutlet is also fried very well, with tender meat and a deliciously sweet yet tangy sauce that will delight any fan of Tontaksu. Overall, worth a visit if you are anywhere in the area. There's several spots around Chicagoland so you can visit any of them if you are looking for high quality food and drink with real ingredients (versus syrups and powders) at a reasonable price.

    The perfect Mango bingsoo

I had the perfect Mango bingsoo treat here after a lovely Thai dinner close by. Mangos were ripe, sweet and juicy. The roasted coconut flakes toppings and corn flakes on the bottom were just chef's kiss. The side sauces, sweetened coconut cream and mango puree, were a neat addition to elevate the shaved ice further. It is large enough to share between 2 people. Service is a bit slow, but it's very busy so it's understandable. Decor is minimalist. There should be more tables and the staff should wipe down the tables after each use.

My husband surprised me by bringing home food from Tsaocaa and what a great surprise it was. He brought me the braised beef rice and crispy pork cutlet rice with house-made sauce. The braised beef was flavorful, the crispy pork cutlet was crunchy, and the vegetables were fresh. Overall, this was a great meal. I can wait to go to Tsaocaa and have their food fresh.

Came here for the first time on a random Saturday early evening to grab some snacks and as soon as I walked in and started looking at the menu on the self service portal, where you have to put your order in realize you were going to have more than just snacks. We actually got three drinks, although only one is pictured. The lychee green tea. We also got the coconut cream and the Taro milk bubble tea. We got the red bean waffle and the mango bingsoo and the Taiwanese popcorn chicken In total of three drinks and three food items came out to $65 which is pretty hefty actually however I will say that the portion of chicken and the Bing soup was actually very generous This is located in a strip mall, but also part of the bigger mall area near H Mart so there's lots of parking There aren't many tables indoor and they really should be especially during this heat wave. They had at least four or five people behind the counter, working busy, making drinks and food. They were also quite a bit of orders being picked up that were probably done online as well. I realize this is a chain, however I will say I will definitely come back here. Try more of the drinks. This is a staple now for me for Taiwanese popcorn, chicken, and the Bingsoo!

Cookie butter milk with Amber boba , about $7
    Tricia D.

Variety of drinks including tea, milk, mojito, yogurt based ones here. I like the uniqueness of the (non alcoholic) mojitos. On my last visit, I tried the lychee mojito, and it was very refreshing, slightly bubbly, and sufficiently minty and lychee-y. The boba cups are branded and can be washed and reused. Also, I noticed it's about 20 Oz of bubble tea vs 16 at other places, at about the same price point. I brought my 2 mini me's here on a spring break afternoon, and they each picked a drink, the cookie butter milk and a mango yogurt drink. As I was getting ready to snap a picture of them in front of the neon signage, my youngest dropped her drink, cracking the cup and making a huge spill around a caution wet floor sign that was ironically already standing by. A very gracious and friendly employee double checked what the drink order has been and kindly remade the drink for her. Last note is that you place your order on one of two touch pads by the entrance. Snacks like coated hot dog sticks and bubble waffles in various flavors (matcha, red velvet) also available! Thank you! We'll be back.

    Matcha Tornado
    Shanel S.

Really solid bubble tea spot in the area! Matcha Tornado is my favorite and hits the spot every single time. I get it with 0% sugar and it's still perfectly "sweet". I'm not exactly sure what else is inside besides the salted cold foam but everything gets blended and it turns into a divine treat. We've been frequenting Home Depot just as much so now we can't visit one without the other lol. My husband's favorites are the Mango Green Tea and Brown Sugar Milk Tea wOreo that are also 0% sugar. The chopped mangoes and lime in the green tea are a refreshing touch. It's not at all syrupy. The milk tea with a hint of brown sugar gives it that cookie taste. Can't go wrong with either one and we never feel guilty after finishing a drink. The staff is also really helpful is finding a drink fit for you when you want to try something new. Although the food menu doesn't fit my lifestyle, they do offer corn dogs and some Korean street food variety. And a random assortment of stuffed animals/toys. Don't just take my word for it, go enjoy a drink for yourself!

Thee place to get your boba fix! Excellent selection of teas, well prepared boba, and quick service.

I'm obsessed with Boba and I'm so excited that a Tsaocaa opened up in the burbs! The bubble tea here was delicious! I ordered the avocado and coconut slush and some dishes to try. Food: the signature popcorn chicken was delicious. I would definitely recommend it. It's crispy and crunchy and includes sticks to help you share it! The fries were okay and I also tried a brown sugar pastry which was okay. The service was really nice. Shoutout to the two awesome girls at the front. I left before my whole order was ready (I thought it was) and they went out of their way to call (using the rewards phone number) to let me know about my food. Speaking of rewards- you can collect these adorable plush keychains (which they also sell) with the points you earn!

Pineapple green tea and oolong milk tea
    Kenneth K.

Ridiculous. I placed an order through GrubHub. Got there and asked about the status of my order, and was informed that it should be ready within 5 minutes. Fast forward 35 minutes later, it was still not ready. I inquired about my order and was informed they never got it because for some reason their system is down. Extremely poor communication and customer service. It's a shame because we used to like this place a lot.

    Mochi bingsu
    Vivi Z.

This place legit came in clutch when I was craving a bubble tea last weekend after a long day of walking around the Forest Preserve and grocery shopping. I personally love going to Tsaocaa despite what my friends say about their bubble tea is more on the watered down side. I think this place always hits the spot and can always count on them to cool off whenever I'm super thirsty for something refreshing. I ordered the osmanthus oolong milk tea along and it blew me away. My partner got their mochi bingsu and thought it was just OK. I like how the ice was very milky even though the price is a bit steep for the size. Overall, this place never disappoints when it comes to ordering a milk tea. Their wings are a different level of tastiness. I've never had it at this location but the one in Chinatown always slaps!

I love the wide selection and variety of choices available. It's a good idea to talk to someone there to learn about what they offer, as these franchises can have slightly different menus. The food options often depend on what the franchise chooses to serve and what they expect customers to enjoy. Their hours of operation are late, but it's best to check directly with the store for specific times. This is a great spot to meet a friend for a quick bite or drink. Although it's a bit out of the way, it's worth the trip since places like this are rare in the area. Enjoy and treat yourself to a tasty drink after your meal!

Neat and bright inside. Huge menu! I used the kiosk to order and then waited. Maybe 3 min later my drink was ready. Got a hot King of Oolong milk tea with no normal (amber) boba, but w/ lychee jelly, 30% sugar, no ice. Pretty good. Little more like a normal tea than boba tea, but flavor was nice. Next time I might go with little more sugar. Menu is sooo huuuge. Soo many drink and food choices it's slightly overwhelming. Will stop by next time in area.

Ranked number two at the time, it became an instant bookmark for me being that I absolutely love boba tea drinks. And honey, it was a must visit once I discovered the Oreo Shake which literally made my mouth salivate! Thanks to Ashley S, who shared a picture of it via yelp. I visited post getting off of work prior to driving towards Edens Expressway; its location sits not too far from downtown Skokie, an area that I frequent. I honestly feel like you have to be in search for Kandy Crush Melt because it sits off of Oakton St, yet on Kenton Ave. In my opinion, there needs to be some sort of signage off of Oakton Ave that would capture the interest of individuals driving along Oakton St. Even though I knew what I wanted to order before visiting, I took my time looking at the menu, just to confirm the items. And when I was ready, the employee took my order, and I ended up ordering the Oreo Shake as visited for. As I waited, I was given a free sample of Mini Pancake Bites which were freaking delicious! I finished every bit of what was given because I had not ever tasted anything as delicious as that Nutella syrup. Immediately after finishing off the Mini Pancake Bites, I began taking sips of the Oreo Shake which I must say looked wonderful! Eek! Brain freeze! Tehehe, these taste buds of mine were surged with that delicious Oreo taste as anticipated. From then on, every sip was a mouthful of joy as I drove, resulting in a slight grin that not even traffic on the Expressway could break, I kid you not. There was a point while driving along the Expressway that I questioned if I would be able to finish it off; thinking to myself that it was good that I ordered a medium size Oreo Shake rather than a large because that shake, good Lord; the medium was definitely enough. Being that I had a great experience, I would gladly order from Kandy Crush Melt again when in the Skokie area. For future orders, I can surely see myself ordering via yelp in order to make it an in-and-out visit while on the go for sure. Since we hadn't been here, we decided to check it out. This restaurant is located off Dempster St. in a small plaza. They serve a variety of dosas and Indian street food dishes. We ordered a Ghee Roasted Dosa, and extra spicy Mysore Masala Dosa, a Spring Dosa, Mumbai Pav Bhaji, and two Adani teas. The food was served promptly. The food is served in sturdy disposable food trays along with plastic ware and hot beverages are served in coffee shop like to-go, small size (paper) coffee cups. The tea was scalding hot as it was freshly prepared. I had to let it cool off. The plastic lid of the cup was tightly fitted and given how hot the cup was, it was hard to take the plastic lid off. The lid was hot along with the cup. They had the hot cup sleeves but they were too big for their small tea cups. The tea was nice. All the dosas were tasty. We liked them. They had decent flavor and texture. They were a bit thicker than the dosas from other south Indian restaurants we have eaten at. That wasn't a problem to us. The spice level for my dosa was good. The accompaniments with the dosas of sambar, coconut chutney, and tomato chutney, for dosa dipping purposes, were nice. We really liked the coconut chutney (w/ cashews) and tomato chutney (w/ peanuts). They were flavorful. The sambar had a nice flavor (from spices & veggies) but texture wise it could've been better. It needed to be a bit thicker. The Pav Bhaji (bread with mixed veggies in a gravy) had a decent taste but it needed to be thick with some body from the usual veggies in it. The Pav (Indian bread) for the Bhaji was really good. Our experience was nice. The service was decent. We were the first customers after they opened at 12:30 pm but a short time later, the restaurant got busy. If I am in the area again, I would go back. Overall, 3.5 stars.
