A newer boba shop located across the way from the sbux/sur la table area. Just what the mall needed a dedicated boba shop. We had the mango smoothie and the boba brown sugar milk. The mango was not that sweet, I think they make.it out of mango puree and ice cream. I'm not a fan of super sweet smoothies but I would have liked a tiny bit sweeter. It didn't come with any toppings except the ice cream. Thought it was going to be mixed in but they scooped it into the top. The boba milk was subtle as well, very mello, and I seemed to miss the boba each time I took a sip somehow. The kids are cool, you could sip on one side like a coffee or insert boba sized straw on other side. There is plenty of space outside to hangout and enjoy.

Staff is nice. Place is cute. Limited seating but it's in a mall so you can easily just find somewhere outside to sit. There's cute backdrops to take your Instagram story photos with. The Hokkaido caramel milk tea and black sugar coffee latte were both good but nothing amazing/special about the flavors we chose. You can customize the drinks, though, and add ice cream or choose the milk or have other add-ons.

It was a hot day at Old Orchard mall and the place was relatively busy. We have seen this place for the first time earlier in the summer and decided to grab a couple of drinks on this hot day. We ordered the Mango Pom Pom and the Boba Milk drink. All the drinks only come in 1 size and some come with boba added in already or even ice cream and sweet foam on top. The drinks I'd have to say wete just okay. The mango was not sweet enough, surprising, because a lot of times these kinds of drinks are too sweet. Won't likely be back as there are other boba places that are better.

We stopped in to Pom Pom Boba Tea and it was pretty empty. There wasn't a large selection on the menu and my companion ordered the Lychee Tea and they were out of Lychee Jelly. They were disappointed that there weren't more options. I ordered the Black Sugar Coffee Latte and subbed with oat milk. I'm sorry to say that it tasted mostly like a glass of oat milk. There was no coffee or black sugar flavor. I did like the soft chewy texture of the boba. Pom Pom has to up their game. This was nicely decorated and clean but very little seating and no bathroom for customers ( there is a mall bathroom around the corner past the murals). Then of course Starbucks is right across from them. I will come back to try the Avocado Smoothie or Roasted Oolong Salted Crema -- and I hope to have a better experience.

Simple but classy decor, and very clean surroundings.

It was great snow ice . Definitely recommend! Gently sweet, not too overwhelming, it was a lovely pair with the simple but tidy interior. The service was considerate and timely, albeit there being only one person today.

Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely small cafe. The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience. The Hokkaido Milk tea is absolutely amazing. If you need best bobHighly recommend!

Great bubble tea! Their handmade boba is perfect and the tea is super flavorful. They use non-dairy creamer (for those who are lactose).

Probably the worst Thai tea ever, it did not have any condensed milk and just tasted like sugary water with slight Thai tea flavor

Worst tasting milk tea I ever had. Watery and syrupy. Tea are pre-sweetened so you can't adjust the sweetness. I'll pass next time

Ranked number two at the time, it became an instant bookmark for me being that I absolutely love boba tea drinks. And honey, it was a must visit once I discovered the Oreo Shake which literally made my mouth salivate! Thanks to Ashley S, who shared a picture of it via yelp. I visited post getting off of work prior to driving towards Edens Expressway; its location sits not too far from downtown Skokie, an area that I frequent. I honestly feel like you have to be in search for Kandy Crush Melt because it sits off of Oakton St, yet on Kenton Ave. In my opinion, there needs to be some sort of signage off of Oakton Ave that would capture the interest of individuals driving along Oakton St. Even though I knew what I wanted to order before visiting, I took my time looking at the menu, just to confirm the items. And when I was ready, the employee took my order, and I ended up ordering the Oreo Shake as visited for. As I waited, I was given a free sample of Mini Pancake Bites which were freaking delicious! I finished every bit of what was given because I had not ever tasted anything as delicious as that Nutella syrup. Immediately after finishing off the Mini Pancake Bites, I began taking sips of the Oreo Shake which I must say looked wonderful! Eek! Brain freeze! Tehehe, these taste buds of mine were surged with that delicious Oreo taste as anticipated. From then on, every sip was a mouthful of joy as I drove, resulting in a slight grin that not even traffic on the Expressway could break, I kid you not. There was a point while driving along the Expressway that I questioned if I would be able to finish it off; thinking to myself that it was good that I ordered a medium size Oreo Shake rather than a large because that shake, good Lord; the medium was definitely enough. Being that I had a great experience, I would gladly order from Kandy Crush Melt again when in the Skokie area. For future orders, I can surely see myself ordering via yelp in order to make it an in-and-out visit while on the go for sure. Drinks are just as good as ever. May or may not have been here twice in the past week, could probably go again as it's quite literally the best boba place in the area hands down. I think my fave is the halo halo blended ice, a drinkable version of halo halo with boba and different jellies. Jeremy C nearly always gets the Peach Oolong tea (he prefers without the honey jelly). We've tried many different drinks and honestly never have had any complaints, you really can't go wrong with any of the drinks. I love that most of the drinks are customizable in terms of amount of ice and sweetness, but this varies between drinks as some you can only get at full sweetness, some go as low as 0%. The staff are super helpful and you can just ask. They also frequently have seasonal drinks so it's fun to see what's new. They have a bright white and clean interior with some tables and seating areas, super open and a decent place to kick back. Parking is typically pretty easy as they have a lot for the plaza. Depending on the direction you're going though getting in and out can get a little tough. But it's definitely worth it.

Price isn't super unreasonable given the quality, though a little higher than what people generally expect for Asian food. Compared to other dim sum restaurants in the suburbs, the price is fairly in line with comparable spots like Lao Hu Tong, and entrees are only a little higher than fast carryout spots. The only dish I wasn't crazy about here was the scallion pancake. I found it a bit more hard than flaky and the flavor wasn't there for me (even with chili oil added), otherwise the food overall was very good in terms of flavor and texture. The beef sanji was quite tender and I liked the bit of crisp, though the beef could've been slightly more flavorful. The crab meat and pork soup dumpling was by far the best dish, with a flavorful soup in generously filled dumplings. The beef chow fun had fairly bouncy noodles that were crisped up just a little and the beef was tender, there was a good amount of wok hay in the dish. The crystal shrimp dumpling was also quite flavorful with good quality shrimp and a great texture on the dumpling skin. Similarly the BBQ pork bun had a slightly sweet and fluffy bun with a good sweetness to the pork filling inside. I would've preferred a little more meat but it was still good. Overall, delicious food and reasonable portions for the price. The nice decor and friendly service make this a spot I'd return to with family and friends. The location is also quite convenient to complete some shopping and get some services nearby.
