But more than anything, their RMTs are top-notch: skilled, professional, pleasant. Special shoutout to Manuela, who has helped me deal with various aches and pains all these years. I think the best way to describe how Manuela treats you is she listens with her hands - she never just goes through the motions or just sticks to a checklist. While she asks you at the start where the problematic areas are, she is also always hyper-aware as she goes through the treatment on areas you never thought needed a bit more work. It's like the foot massage you would get at the nail salon, but extended. As soon as we entered, I noticed the nice aroma of the spa. We took off our shoes and wore flip-flops and were directed to our room. We chose the hour long service which included a shoulder massage and a foot massage. Overall, I had a good experience. I would definitely go for another foot massage somewhere near my area.

This was the first time I've been to a spa so I wasn't sure what to expect. We arrived 15 mins early to our appointment - we did not have to wait long to get our room. We changed out of our clothes and got underneath the towel till our masseuses knocked and came in to start the massage. There was a language barrier as the masseuses spoke Mandarin and just a bit of English. We had to signal to apply less pressure as they were both applying a lot of pressure in the beginning of the massage. They also asked if we wanted oil for the massage. We had booked a one hour massage and I believe they ended right on time. For an hour I just focused on the music in the background and the gentle massage on my back, neck, legs, arms, and head. The spa was clean and a peaceful environment. Massages were reasonably priced and I was told the tip was split 50/50 between the masseuses. Note these are not RMTs though so they can't be claimed if you're looking to use insurance benefits from work. The spa is centred for massages only, so there are no additional amenities if you are looking for a place to lounge and relax around afterwards. We got our massage and promptly left after paying. I did feel more relaxed after the massage. It's a bit further out from where I am so not sure if I would go out of my way to visit. Would recommend if you're nearby!

I had the worst and most disappointing massage experience at Comfort Zone Richmond Hill…read more I called the day before to book a Registered Massage Therapy (RMT) session, and the receptionist clearly confirmed a 7:15 PM appointment. When we arrived, they couldn't even find my name or appointment at first -- everything was written in a paper notebook with pen, which already showed how disorganized they are. After searching by my phone number, they finally "found" it and told us to go in. After the session, they charged us around $190 with tip and tax. When I asked for a receipt to submit to my insurance (as it was supposed to be an RMT session), they said: "You weren't booked for RMT." This was shocking because I specifically booked an RMT massage over the phone, and they confirmed it. Instead of taking responsibility for their own mistake, they simply denied it. Overall, this place is either extremely unorganized and poorly managed, or they are misleading customers intentionally. Either way, I will never return and do NOT recommend this place to anyone looking for a real RMT massage or professional service.

Or atleast if it's a couples booking, then make sure staff know not to poke their head in to ask questions/ talk to your staff. It's honestly so distracting to a relaxing experience. Massage was good. My partner enjoyed it but I think he would not choose to come back to this location. I had a lovely facial but my goodness she was rough with the extractions. I like a light extraction, but she was quite rough. Still, it was effective and I liked her. She was really nice and gave me good advice for my skin - especially considering that I don't do facials regularly. I love that they also offer SPF treatment at the end so your fresh skin is protected on your way out the door. Booking here was not the easiest thing. It was a little difficult to understand all the pages on their website, but now that I've gone through the process - I can understand their packages better. I will say, I did not like speaking with the receptionist. She's quite forceful and talks over you a lot. I wanted the answer to one simple question and she went on for almost 7 minutes. I was quite frustrated and almost didn't book because I didn't enjoy the interaction with her. Given that I don't do massages/ facials regularly, I'll opt to try a new place each time unless I'm totally wow-ed by a location. They do have good reviews, so as always, try it for yourself!

At this point I have to admit that I'm getting a little confused about which one is which as they are all starting to look very similar. To add to the confusion, some of the staff move around so if you find someone you would like to use again, you need to ask for their card and contact. They sometimes work at one spa, and then move to a different one in the area so you need to ask for their availably and not assume anything. As well, their business cards may be from another spa, and not the one you were in. And since their technique and training vary widely, it helps to know what you're in for. The reflexology was done in the massage room, which wasn't quite as good since she skipped the soaking in hot water part, which is good in that there's more time for massage, but bad in that the soaking seems to help relax your feet and feels great! Ask about the soaking when you put in your order as you can choose to have the feet first, or vice versa. And ask if they include soaking in the procedure. Nice spot in the north strip of Chinatown!

I had a 15 minutes message and a full facial from June. She is absolutely incredible! She dug her hands into places on my body I didn't even know needed a message. I can't even tell you how good June was. While I was getting my facial she messaged my neck, jaw and face. It was like heaven.
