I'm a post card collector, so I'll start there: A excellent, well-organized, and high-quality selection, especially for U.S. places. Usually a disorganized afterthought, it's great to see well-kept and beautiful post cards. IMHO, Antiques, Etc.'s greatest selling point is its wood furniture: Tall-boys, dropleaf tables, desks, chairs, buffets, China cabinets... to name a few. Is there an overall theme to the stuff? I'd say it has a very Midwestern, early 1900s vibe. It's easy to tell this is a well-curated collection. I do have a small recommend: Simplify the discounts by putting the percentage off right on the tag. The place is a little random in nature, but it's fun to find random stuff like quilting materials and patterns, tobacco canisters, a Band Director's uniform, and my personal fave, the 1940s GE L-916 floor console radio. Co-owner Mick is very friendly and easy to work with. He's been in the antique business for 30 years, and is a welcome addition the St. George antique community!

This was going to be a good experience, right? When I went in, the consignment lady was so rude when I asked a few more questions and kept saying, "Well you didn't talk to me about this! I do not live locally and was only in town for a short period of time handling the estate, so timing and communication were important. The home contains quality furnishings, including a Taylor King sectional, a custom Vanguard dresser, a large Restoration Hardware rug, and other high-end items. After nearly three weeks of back-and-forth communication, they finally were going to come out on March 13 and picked up only two items--a sideboard and a rug. To my surprise, after our conversation with the driver on his way, they then declined the rug. I decided to tell him not to even come, and I would not be doing business with them and that their business structure was extremely unprofessional and excruciatingly painful to deal with. During prior communication, they asked what price I hoped to get for the rug. I suggested $800 for a $3000 rug as a starting point, fully acknowledging that I did not expect to recover what I originally paid. I specifically asked for their professional input since this is their business and they know the resale market. Instead of providing guidance, I was simply told my price "wasn't their happy price." That was the extent of the explanation. The entire process was unnecessarily frustrating. Communication is routed through a receptionist who acts as a gatekeeper, making it impossible to speak directly with the person actually making the consignment decisions. Everything is filtered through short emails or secondhand messages, which creates confusion and delays. For a business that relies on consignors bringing them quality merchandise, the lack of transparency, poor communication, and inefficient process is surprising. Clearing out an estate is already difficult, and this experience only made it more frustrating. I would not recommend working with this company. Their communication structure and overall business approach are not consumer-friendly.

Stopped in to "browse" and ended up buying a beautiful curved glass with wood shelves curio cabinet. Totally forgot to snap a picture before it was wrapped up. If you go, here are a few tips. 1. This is no place to bring the kids. 2. Be prepared to pay in cash or Venmo. The day we went the CC reader was put of commission. 3. You'll need to make your own arrangements for packaging and removal of large items. Luckily, we had a friend in the area with a truck who came to our rescue. 4. One time thru and you'll miss a lot of good stuff so take your time and revisit each room.

This wasn't just any ghost town--it was once a booming mining town in the late 1800s with over 1,500-2,000 people, all chasing silver that was somehow found in sandstone (which is basically unheard of). Walking through the area, you can still see preserved buildings like the old Wells Fargo office and other remnants that give you a real glimpse into what life was like back then. The museum is small but packed with artifacts, and the guided tour adds a lot of context to the experience. What really makes this place stand out though is the setting. You've got these insane red rock cliffs surrounding the town, so it doesn't just feel historic--it's actually beautiful too. There are also trails nearby if you want to explore a little more.
