I don't like giving bad reviews, but I also don't appreciate dishonest vendors. I hired this company to re-glaze a tub. As usual I provided pictures; and I received a quote via email; 7 months later the tub is peeling. I called company and asked them to warranty work. They said no. They also stated that they did not strip tub prior to the initial job because I didn't pay for it. IT WAS NOT OFFERED; nowhere on the quote I received was stripping recommended, nor did I the tech call prior to beginning job with any type of recommendation. Tech took it upon himself just to spray the tub over old glaze, and over sprayed the tile. This company is a complete rip off! All the jobs they've done for us over the past months are now beginning to fail. They always have a reason as to not warrant. I hope losing a client who provided your company with good ongoing business for a 1 1/2 or so was well worth it. read more

Happy with the work initially but, now that it's been two years, it's peeling. Called them and they said it's the shampoo bottles. This company is terrible. If yelp would allow me to give zero stars, I would. They had a guy come out to do work on our showers. An area of one of the tubs is so rough you can't walk on it, the cracks they supposedly fixed on both tubs came back, and they left the doors and fixtures off for us to put back on. Then they gave us a receipt and asked us to pay them. Unfortunately, we had no idea that we were supposed to have paid our general contractor, NOT these sub-contractors. Now we need everything repaired and they are no longer answering our general contractor's phone calls, and we are out SEVERAL hundred dollars. So disappointed!! Ricardo is trying to say that I am lying about my experience with his company. Tony H is my general contractor for this job. If you notice, Tony also gave him a negative review, and Ricardo's response to his review clearly proves that his company was the one who worked on my showers. This is an example, again, of why you should NOT hire this company. Ricardo, how you respond says a lot about your character as a business man. And making things right with a customer goes a lot further than calling them liars. Then maybe I could change my review to a positive one. Update: So Ricardo is still calling me, the REAL homeowner, a liar. I wouldn't be spending so much time on this review if I was a fake. I therefore cannot change my review to a positive one. I initially corresponded with Ricardo and then Jackie L. took care of the payment and setting up the appointment. I sent Ricardo photos of my tub so that he could provide an accurate estimate of the work. After comparing about 5 companies, Tub Quality Reglaze offered the best deal. Their work is also high quality. The refinishing looked amazing (so clean) afterwards and all the gunk from the shower door removal was no where in site. Richard offers competitve prices on all his reglazing services. I contacted him via email to get quotes and to discuss the process, and he was prompt with each response. Since his pricing was 30% less than his competitors, we were able to not only get a fiberglass shower / tub unit reglazed, but also 2 vanities in a multi-spec finish. He did the countertops and sinks in two different tones for a flat rate. Other companies tend to nickel and dime for different finishes. All units look great, but only time will tell quality and endurance. Richard does offer a three year warranty as stated in the invoice. My only recommendation for this start up company is for Richard to take the time at the onset of the appointment to discuss all the work that needs to get done (e.g. covering or removing fixtures, removing window screens in order to run the venting hosem etc,). A majority of our agreement was documented via email. However, a quick verbal run through prior to start of the process would have been appreciated for peace of mind. Overall, the tub and vanities look great. Richard is easy to work with and his prompt responses to all my inquiries are greatly appreciated. He also travelled from Riverside to Orange County and still offered a very reasonable bid despite current gas prices. 5 stars for value alone! read more

In December 2017, Tub Quality Reglaze glazed my bathtub in white and my bathroom sink in a speckled, stone-looking coating. Now, only a year and a half later, the speckled coating is crumbling around the sink drain. I'm not sure how long it's been doing this, as it's hard to tell given the speckled design. I called the company yesterday to have it repaired and was told that this was probably due to a leaky faucet (which I do not have) or allowing water to settle in the sink(using the sink normally), and that those things allowed water to get under the coating. I was also told that the estimate to repair it would be about $180, because there is no way to simply fix the area, the whole sink would need to re-done. When I asked about a warranty, or the company simply standing behind their work after such a short period of time, I was told that the company didn't provide a warranty for my issue and that my paperwork should explain that. I then asked why this possibility of that finish crumbling off wasn't explained up front, because I would not have chosen that stuff if I would have known (the man who did the work suggested using the speckled finish). The customer service person said that it wasn't mentioned because the problem I had didn't always happen, and in any case, could have happened no matter what finish was used. Again I asked why this wasn't at least pointed out beforehand as a possibility, and again was referred to the fine print in the paperwork. Unfortunately, although the crumbling coating in my sink is the result of their product and their work, this company refuses to repair my sink unless I pay again. I strongly advise against using this company. read more

To make things short, I made the mistake to hire someone else instead of tub quality reglaze. They gave me a quote and everything but I went with the cheaper competition. The competition did a horrible job and I ended up calling tub quality reglaze to fix their mess and not only was his price reasonable, he stripped the competitions poor job and refinished to perfection. Richard did a good job on my tub and kitchen. The new finish looks great except where dust got on the finish in a couple of spots when they took the sheeting off the walls. His prices were very low - like 35% lower than two other quotes that I got. The downside is that because he was driving from Riverside he only came to my house once on the day he did the work. That meant he had to take off the sheeting the same day (see previous content on dust). Also he took off all of the bathtub hardware without checking with me first. Because the hardware was so old it got wrecked taking it off and had to be replaced with new hardware by a plumber. I probably would have ended up doing that anyway if we had discussed it, but I should have had that option. I had to have a somewhat tense conversation with the landlord afterwards. So I would give him 5 stars on price and 3 stars on professionalism, so I will average it out to 4 stars. read more

Ricardo and company did such a great job. They not only gave me one of the best (i.e. lowest) quotes, but from the beginning, were professional and responsive. Jackie coordinated, and she was prompt with return calls and friendly despite my many questions. Ricardo showed up on time the day of the appointment with an assistant. No language barrier. They were both very polite, made sure to ask permission before touching or removing any items in the vicinity or venturing off into different parts of the house. Much appreciated. Worst experience ever. His tech was not on time, there was no communication, he disassembled the fixtures in one bathroom and removed one shower door in another bathroom. The glazing itself was horrible, with visible stress cracks and areas that did not adhere. When brought to Richards attention he was non-responsive and washed his hands of the whole thing. Now I am stuck with looking bad to my customers and have to spare the expense to have both units stripped and re-finished. Contractors like these give other contractors a bad name. I had a shower/tub that was in need of crack repair and a reglaze as soon as possible. I sent Ricardo an e-mail late on Saturday night and he called me back and was able to make it out Sunday morning at 7:30am. He said they normally do not work on Sundays, but will make an exception. He and one other gentelman showed up, explained the work, did the job, cleaned up and gave instructions on the shower/tub. Stay away from Tub Quality Reglaze. We contacted them early on in a process for remodeling a bathroom and asked for a quote to do two bathrooms. They said they would charge $900 for both tubs. We told them that the tile was not done yet and asked if should we wait to do the tubs. They said it was not necessary. The work could be done immediately with no issue. So, we took their word for it since they are the experts. As soon as the work was complete, however, the tile person told us that the tub reglaze should've been done last. Well, it was too late. My guess is Tub Quality Reglaze had an opening in their schedule and since their apparent policy is to not come back to do repairs without overcharging, it was a win win for them. Once the tile work was done, there was some scratches and when the tape was removed it peeled the paint right off. We contacted Tub Quality Reglaze to ask for someone to come out and touch up the tub since they were the ones that told me the timing was fine when it wasn't. We also felt that the paint peeling off immediately upon removal of the tape was defective work on their end. They refused to come back out unless I paid them another $560 saying that it was negligent work and we should've taken the tape off sooner so it wouldn't peel. Again, we are not the experts. We didn't know that the tape needed to be removed quickly because they didn't tell us that. To make matters worse, they then advised us that we never asked them for their expert opinion on timing and that we were in a rush to have the work done. This was not true. We were planning on 10 weeks of construction so they could've gone last. They then told me that we were in such a rush that we didn't even get a quote. That was not true. We had sent them pictures of the tubs via text and they did give us a quote over the phone after. We didn't appreciate that they were accusing us of lying and were themselves lying at this point to cover their tracks so we asked to speak with a supervisor or owner. Then they completely stopped responding. We never heard from them again despite several emails. We even offered to pay another $200 for them to come back and fix the tubs which would be $1,100 total to do two tubs. NO RESPONSE. Talk about terrible customer service. I would go elsewhere. There are plenty of other options that I guarantee would be more honest and more helpful when issues arise. read more
