Even though we have done this excursion many times, there's always a twist. On our latest adventure, we got to see five monk seals, with two of them playing in the ocean like little puppies. We had a good group and had time to do extra things on this trip. Our guide, Tupre, made it a fun and interesting tour, throwing in historical and additional wildlife information. This experience solidified our decision to book Kailua Beach Adventures on our next trip to Oahu.

It's located across the street from Kailua Beach Park. You have to cart your own kayak from the rental shop to the beach shore where you'll meet your guide. We were in a group of six and one guide. They have single and double kayaks. The guided tour provides life vests, dry bags, snorkels, water bottles, and lunch. The trip to the island took us approximately 1.5 hours maybe a bit more to Kayak the 2.3 miles due to strong head winds. It was faster on the return trip. We even had time to stop on flat island. This is one of my favorite activities to do while on Oahu. I love the scenic views heading to the "Mokes" and I love the views looking toward Oahu while out on the water. It's such a magical kayaking adventure. The island is a bird sanctuary and if you go at the right time you'll see nesting birds and if you are lucky, you'll see the endangered Hawaiian Monk Seal. We saw three (maybe four, not sure if one was the same one that swam to a different spot) on Moku Nui and one on Popoi'a Island sandbar. If you are adventurous and have the stamina and strength to kayak, I highly recommend this tour for you! Our guide Two-pre was the best!!! He told us that the tour we were on was his 400th!!

We thought we would have more area we could explore, but you are limited to one square area you have to stay in and go in one direction. When arriving, you are sent out on a boat to the floating deck to wait your turn to get on a jet ski. The staff was all friendly on the boat and gave instructions on what you can and can't do. If you don't have good sea legs, I'd recommend wearing SeaBands or whatever helps you best for motion sickness because there is lots of rocking while you're waiting for your jet ski. Once on the ski, they'll attach a sports cam to video and take photos throughout your ride, which is about 25-30 minutes. They'll call you back in when your time is up, and you'll catch the boat back to the office to view your videos and photos. Again, it was fun. But we were all experienced riders who wanted to explore more. We didn't know we'd be limited to one small area and go in one direction in a square. I would have rather spent my time and money doing something more adventurous. Great for a low thrill seeker who's never been on a jet ski.

We didn't book in advance. I looked at several different places the night before and H2O Sports Hawaii was the best fit for our short turnaround. We arrived early and were checked in right away. After a short wait, our ride came to pick us up. There was only one other couple who signed up for parasailing at the time of our booking, so it was just the four of us on the boat the whole time. We chose the Higher Flyer 800' option, which is the highest they will go. The website says it's 45-60 minutes on the boat and six minutes in the air. I think we were in the air for a few minutes longer, which was really nice. I wish we had a hands-free camera with us because the view was unreal. However, they did take photos of us which we later purchased. The staff on the boat were wonderful and helpful. I was very impressed that they spoke multiple languages fluently. They really cater to tourists and generously gave great recommendations on where to go and what to see. I would recommend parasailing with H2O Sports Hawaii.

Despite booking months in advance and confirming pricing over email, I was given incorrect information. I was told to book a lower‑priced package, only to be told on the day of the event that the price was actually higher -- the same price I originally expected before they told me to downgrade. When I showed them the email chain, instead of acknowledging their mistake, they were dismissive, snarky, and acted like I didn't understand their own packages. Then came the restroom situation. They asked if anyone needed to use the bathroom since there wouldn't be an option once we were out on the water. We said yes, and the response was, "Ours is broken, so go to McDonald's." That level of unprofessionalism is unbelievable, especially toward paying customers on their last day of vacation. If I hadn't prepaid months earlier, I would have canceled immediately. The attitude continued during the photo purchase process. We had two sets of photos and videos. We only wanted one set because we liked more pictures from that batch. When we explained that we only liked one photo from the other set, a staff member cut us off with, "We don't sell individual pictures -- you have to buy the whole thing." Exactly why we weren't buying it. The tone was rude and unnecessary. The on‑water team was great, but the administrative staff's attitude, poor communication, and lack of basic customer service overshadowed everything. Based on these interactions, I would strongly recommend choosing a different company for water activities in Oahu.

There are two toddler-friendly areas with small slides and splash zones. Alison they have a lazy river, and a wave pool that became my son's absolute favorite. There are plenty of lifeguards around. They look very young but I liked the amount of them. My kiddo was happily exhausted afterward and slept amazingly that night (and even the day after). Few tips. If you plan to visit more than once, the pass with parking is absolutely worth it because parking is more than $20. Do not underestimate the sun. I thought I am good but ended up with a sunburn. The food options are pretty average and overpriced ($18 for average hot dog and fries), and the park isn't spotless all the time. Overall, such a fun surprise. We will definitely be back.

Well the fact that they still have this place on the program is a real let down. We looked online and with the information from City Pass we made our way to the Park. No apologies no regrets or regard for a customer or potential customer. Just The Park is Closed. Oh well we will make the most of our day finding something else So now the business gets back and is blaming the City App for the issue. When we called the facility all they said was they were closed no explanation was given. Don't blame a third party for your mistake. As well as I stated the website stated open nothing more was used beyond that. If there was a sign. Out front stating closed for special event we would better understand things but all we got was a closed gate and words on the said closed that's it. Not my idea of a of a professional company. To me this is a group of big time losers.

I know the tour doesn't guarantee seeing wildlife, but it was disappointing hardly seeing anything in the glass bottom. To add, the glass bottom is just 4 boxes that you have to peek over to see. I didn't get seasick, so it was still nice to be out on the water and enjoying the views of the ocean. Prior to the incident, the captain was very educational and funny. Overall, had the tour been on a different day with more permitting weather, I think it would've been great.
