After leaving a recent review at the Father-restaurant Kabinett, it feels appropriate to do so here. This is a firmly casual atmosphere- part café, part bierhall, part grocery, and most importantly- Curated Wine Shoppe. The ambience- bloody enormous! It was an auto garage! The outdoor patio is also large- standard Bierhall bench seating or stand overlooking the river and 'Free Bridge', as the locals colloquially refer to it. Pagoda to keep the sun off. The café- standard coffee options, and a few pastries. I believe the pastries used to be done in house (a couple had Moroccan flavours), but now, done by the wonderful duet Pie+Tart. The Bierhall- firstly- they stock Ayinger. This is my favourite Braurei in Germany. Nothing pleases me more than to see several brews- especially the Brauweiß. There are about 15 beers from which to choose, most being less common/higher quality German Brews. There are also some American brews by Von Trapp in Vermont- who also focus on German styles. Good prices. Served in the proper Becher glassware- or suck on a bottle. The Grocery- focusing on Australian dry goods and some necessities. This harkens back to the old Silk Mill location- sans the candies. I've bought some higher quality spices here. THE Wine Shoppe. Since this part of the venture opened, it has become my go-to for most of my wine. He stocks wine which you will not see anywhere else. The focus is on Austrian/German, and Australian wines. Cheap to expensive. Walking the horseshoe from left to right, you start in the White Brut/Sekt, to the Grüner, to the Red /Rot Sekt. In the centre are the cheaper wines, and a good amount of Rosé. While I say cheaper, that does not mean inferior by any means. One of our household favourites has become Fritz's Rosé. I will take the time to discuss the Wines mostly- I was introduced to many Weingut here- Moric, George Breuer, Fritz and many others. The selection rotates, but there are some mainstays. Try to find the proprietor- Jason- walk the Shoppe with him and ask questions. I have never once been steered astray. The focus thankfully is the drier side of Wine- Old and New World. You will not be inundated with the same rubbish Napa Valley and PA wines other proprietors carry. This Shoppe is for those who have an Old World palette and feel the necessity to always pay restaurant premiums. Remember, at a restaurant, you are paying for the wine, plus the storage, Som, and service. You can also buy chilled wine. You can also buy wine to consume there (different list due to LCB Legalities). read more

Unexpectedly really enjoyed our meal here. Very cute and trendy space. Staff is also very friendly and the restaurant seems to be taking Covid restrictions seriously. Outdoor seating was comfortable, well shaded and also appropriately spaced apart. Staff wore masks and gave a good distance when taking our orders/handling food. They also had a takeout window for beverages/desserts. There is an auto 20% gratuity for outdoor dining which we thought was appropriate and reasonable given the circumstances. Would've liked to have the option to tip more than 20% when paying by card but understand the inefficiencies of giving customers the touch screen options given the pandemic/germ concerns + awkwardness of telling people what you'd prefer to tip directly. Food was quick, fresh and well portioned. We had a good amount but did not feel unhealthy/guilty about it afterwards. This joint is 100% silky smooth from start to finish! Prior to getting hitched we had a last meal here are we left perfectly FULL. The environment is very hipster with Lafayette right around the block. Lots of cool things hanging on the walls and had a great feel. Order at the counter and a waiter brings over your delish meal! The owner is a coo dude and looks like her really cares about his employees and his restaurant. Food: -Lamb sandwich. VERY good. Perfect hidden gem in the area! Nice, cozy cafe to chill and do work. They have a variety of coffee and tea offerings, and great food choices that you don't have to feel guilty about. This is my second time coming here and I've always gotten the original avo toast -- looks good, tastes good, and sooo good for you. I also got the prana chai in the past which is honestly soooo good. I almost would say it's the best I've had but I have an Indian friend whose dad makes great chai. They have plenty of seating both inside and outside. Scared to post about this charming gem because I don't want it to become too crowded, but it is such an amazing addition to Easton, I just had to. To begin, the space is hip and cool. Super high ceilings, nifty knick knacks on the tables, an awesome yellow retro fridge, and of course an amazing, hospitable staff. On to the food, a healthy and light way to start your morning. Fab new place run by lovely people in a very hip location. The space is full of interesting things to look at- pretty plants, fun art, retro ViewMasters. I wanted to order everything on the menu, but went with the "A-Game" toast. A big slice of Sourdough bread (made locally) topped with creamy labna, sliced apples, sunflower seeds, and a drizzle of honey-yum! Food is presented well, it is very fresh, unblemished and looks good. We initially asked for water with lemon. A server brought us four bottles of water and a plate of lemons @ $6. Another server said a dish with rice wouldn't be gluten free because of well, the rice. ??? The hummus plate was a container (giant blob) of hummus with pieces of vegetables. The seasoning on the surface of the hummus was good. Matcha Latte was excellent. We didn't realize this is basically a takeout restaurant. $70 later, the 4 of us left hungry. The owner seemed friendly yet irritated (snarky). We then looked at the online review responses and saw a similar attitude in responses. This is just the cutest place. It's in a great location in a repurposed silk mill near a brewery, art gallery, and ice cream shop. The walls are packed with vintage art and antique dishes, but despite the clutter manages to feel clean and modern. Tables are shared. Check out the menu and order at the counter. The staff were attentive and friendly and the whole place just felt bright and happy. We decided to order a huge assortment of things to try and share. The avo toast (avocado and a sous vide egg) and a ricotta pear toast were both wonderful. Various baked goods and pastries were also amazing. My favorite were the scones (served with cream and jam) and the zucchini bread. We both ordered tea, not realizing they came in their own pots. We definitely could have split just one pot of tea between two people. But the tea selection is excellent and varied, and I'm not even sad I had to drink the whole thing myself. read more

Can hardly describe in words my excitement for this place. I'm so in love with businesses that know who they are and curate around that personality. They're not a little bit of this or a little bit of that, Tucker is Australian and they represent very well. But who am I to say, this is the closest I've come to Aussie. And yet that's what's so special, I feel like I might be there while I'm here, without flying the 30 hours. The drinks are fantastic. I had the Prana Chai (leaves rolled in honey) with macadamia milk and the Beetroot Latte with macadamia milk. Both were perfectly smooth and sweet but the beetroot was a little weak. I'll ask for a little extra powder next time. The food is delicious. I tried the Avo Toast #3. It was perfect. I also tried the salted caramel square that they source from a local artisan and it's super great. The owner, Jason, is hands on. This is my favorite breakfast and lunch café in Easton, period. The food is fresh, clean, and packed full of wonderful flavor. Jason (owner) is a ton of fun, and the staff is kind and attentive. The space is open, light, and communal. The coffee from Toby's estate is some of my favorite that I've had to date. And a visit from Hobart (the cutest cafe dog in the world) just rounds out the whole experience. If I could sum Tucker up in one word, it would be hygge. Some of our favorites: -The toasts, especially the avocado: it all starts with the fresh sourdough base and is balanced with delicate olive oil, lemon, and a hint of salt. -The granola bowl: I almost never order granola because it tends to be a cop out for restaurants - basic yogurt and overly sweet granola, sprinkle some fruit, voilà. This granola is lovely - perfect portions, rich flavors, and only lightly sweet. -Prana Chai: if you are having a bad day, I challenge you to drink this and not just feel your problems melt away. Let me start by saying I want to love everything here at Tucker Silk Mill... the ambiance gives a great vibe, the servers are pretty cool and the coffee is fabulous... but... I have to say I've been disappointed the last few times I've been there. A lunch date with a friend who'd never been there turned into me receiving my food and she never receiving hers until we spoke to the owner. I had eaten my lunch (with her urging) and the servers kept passing by us without any acknowledgement that her meal was on it's way. When we spoke with the server, finally, we were told that her order takes awhile... mind you this was at least 20/25 minutes that had passed since our order was taken... My friend only ordered one of the "hot toasties" that are essentially a panini. When it still was not delivered, I went to the owner and spoke to him. He promptly spoke to his "chef", brought us a complimentary dessert and in about 5 more minutes, the hot toastie was delivered. Much to her dismay, there was barely any meat in it, maybe one or two slices and it didn't knock her socks off as she had hoped it would. No added extras come with it. Fast forward to today when I visited for a cup of coffee... the cappuccino is the best around! I decided to add the scones to my order. Needed more jam (see picture, you only get a teaspoonful) and asked for more. Was brought another teaspoonful and charged an extra $1.00! I'm not a picky eater by any means, but the jam that came with the order was barely enough to cover half of a scone, let alone two scones! I want to really like this place, but so far the food leaves me a bit disappointed. read more

I have been a customer of Tucker Silk Mill since they opened. A pot of tea and scone, relaxing, chill atmosphere. During the pandemic they switched their entire business model. Take out and then expanded into provisions. I wasn't going to grocery stores so I was ordering weekly. I have ordered some of the most delectable delights ever from this small business. I was cooking some amazing dinners with their tips and tricks online. I am now a convert of organic eggs! They are a wonderful community partner and working with local farmers, people like me were able to donate food through their online ap. So kind and thoughtful and always thinking of the greater community. They are special people. read more

On the recommendation of my best friend, my mom and I went to breakfast at Tucker Silk Mill. It is right off of Bushkill Drive & 13th St, where the old carpet factory was. The outside of the location was very scenic. It rests against the backdrop of the Palmer Bike Path and the Bushkill Creek. It is very cute, the staff and owner where personable and very friendly. The food was influenced by Australian cuisine. It was a first for both of us but it was good. There were people on laptops and making business calls. Man, I really like this place. We got the avocado and mushroom toast, both of which were delicious. The Cortado was bomb and my mountain tea was super good. I loved that they had compostable plates, utensils and cups. Also, the Florentine cookies are obscene. I'm not sure who the baker in Colorado is, but whatever their guidance counselor said about them isn't true. We had a wonderful brunch on Father's Day down at Tucker Silk Mill. We had delicious pork ribs, baked beans, coleslaw and cornbread. The service was excellent and the staff was very accommodating to the two small children we had with us when they split a normal lunch portion into two so that each child had their own meal. Again I can't say enough about this establishment, the cool vibes, excellent customer service, and delicious food is all you can ask for when you decide to go out to eat. We will be back! read more

Total tolerance for me and my fiancée (biracial lesbian couple) rating: 10/10. We do nothing to hide our relationship unless we identify a situation where it might be dangerous to pretend like we're anything more than close friends. There was exactly nothing at Tucker that made us uncomfortable. Nobody, employees and customers alike, caused problems for us, which I appreciate a lot. I go to Lafayette College and had not previously tried this place even though I've been wanting to for a long time. My fiancée and I just got back and it was bizarre in a good way. I got a sourdough toast with fruit and ricotta and my girl got an egg, spinach and ham sandwich (I think, I didn't try it I just saw it). The food had an unfamiliar but good flavor profile, and the restaurant had fantastic service. But what I'm coming back for is the service (obviously) but also the milkshakes.
