I have been a Tuckernuck customer for years, both online and and at their old brick and mortar store. So I was excited to visit their new flagship store in Georgetown last weekend. What I was not excited about was having to wait outside for 10 minutes just to get in. It might have been explainable had the store been packed once inside - it wasn't, and half of the dressing rooms were even empty when I went to try on a few items. It seems like they're trying to create some aura of exclusivity, but this isn't Hermes or Chanel... Once inside the staff was helpful and friendly, but many items I was interested in were unavailable/sold out in small sizes. Overall I'd suggest shopping online. read more

I purchased a dress from Tuckernuck online on May 28, 2025, paying for expedited shipping as the dress was for an event. Tuckernuck shipped me a dress different from the one I paid for. I contacted them and spent an hour wading through their AI auto attendant which kept telling me the dress was final sale and not available for return. I finally connected to an agent, who tried to talk me in to exchanging the dress. I refused the exchange since the shipping error was theirs. They agreed to a return, and issued me a Happy Returns label. I returned the dress to them, but didn't receive a refund. I reached out after a few weeks, and they let me know the shipment was lost in transit, but that they would issue a refund. Its now a month later, and still no refund. I've been a tnuck buyer from the very beginning. I'm going to be blunt the Tuckernuck brand clothes are absolute crap. Completely overpriced for Forever 21 quality. I just ordered clothes on August 21st. Still waiting for a shipping confirmation. I was in fact billed etc. I'm sure I'll receive purchased items on Halloween. I keep saying it ( so do many of my friends) I'm done with Tuckernuck. But this time I'm definitely done. So not worth the poor shipping, quality, and return policies. read more

I would give less than one star if possible. Miserable quality and very short return time- 21 days! So if you order from them make sure that you try the item on right away and return quickly if necessary. My advice is not to buy anything from this company, which I thought had great products, until I received compression leggings which were baggy, stick out at the inner calves on both sides and have a waistband which is gathered and comes to a point in the front of the leggings. Something like your child might have done in sewing class in grade school. Having to "talk" to a bot is not my idea of customer service. RUN! read more

This company does not stand behind its inferior and costly products! I splurged and bought a $178 blouse that fell apart at the seams after two wearings. I saved it for special occasions so it was 6 months after purchase when I went to wear it a third time that I discovered the problem. I contacted Tuckernuck, sent a picture to the representative and mailed back the blouse with the understanding I would get a refund. I waited over a month to hear the status of my return and finally sent an inquiry . Their response was that their "system" does not allow a refund after this much time - only store credit. I was willing to spend $178 on a blouse I loved but now am stuck choosing something I do not love that is likely to also fall apart. I still hadn't received the dress after the shipping deadline so I reached out and was told it never shipped and was out of stock. This is after being charged for it! The staff Caroline and Ella are so helpful and warm... it's a no pressure shop that feels like what AMERICA was when stores were owned by locals. I like the style of this brand...but this store is small without much selection. I was hoping I could see more of their clothes in person.

My issue isn't with the store itself, but the company overall. In December 2022, some items that were meant to be returned to Patagonia, were instead returned to Tuckernuck's warehouse. I received multiple confirmations (oral and via email) that the Patagonia package was, in fact, delivered to their warehouse. I was told that they would check with the warehouse folks to try to locate the package and ship it back to me, and that I would receive a follow-up, which never came. Two weeks later I reached out again. They told me they couldn't locate the item, and they disclaimed responsibility for the items delivered to their warehouse. They did ultimately agree to review the warehouse video footage to see if they could locate the items, and that they would get back to me by February 15th, 2023 with the outcome of that video footage review. The legality of the matter notwithstanding, it seems like a multi-million dollar online retailer should have a process for handling mis-returned items, especially since it must happen often given the existing faulty QR code logistics. So essentially, my issue is with their return services/process and customer service. Namely, that" (1) the QR codes provided for returns can be used multiple times (so multiple packages can be sent concurrently with the same USPS tracking #); (2) despite the flawed return services system/logistics, they don't seem to have any mechanism in place to ensure mis-returned packages aren't "lost"; and (3) their customer service is unreliable and ultimately unresponsive. read more

I was so excited to visit the store after shopping online. I love the pieces I have ordered. The store was very cute and clean. There were three staff people at the desk when we arrived. I browsed around for about ten minutes picked up three items to try on, I walked around for a few more minutes before finding the dressing room on my own and trying on the items. I took the items back to the racks and rehung them. During this time there were three or four other people in the store and the staff was very attentive to them- offering to help find items and set up dressing rooms. When she called customer service to initiate a "free" return, she was told her order number wasn't valid and neither was her email address. She was on the phone for nearly 45 minutes with customer service. I called, and was told the order number clearly printed on my receipt wasn't viable either....but that she would email me return labels for both blouses. Never received an email. A friend of mine had good things to say about this brand so I decided to stop by on a Monday and try to find a dress for an upcoming event. I only had about 30 mins and I would have been a super easy customer to sell to, since I very much needed to buy a dress in that window of time. Though there was only at most one other customer in the store while I was there, I was ignored by the salespeople in the store, who were talking to each other the whole time about their dogs. I tried on a few things and nobody checked on me. The dresses I tried on didn't seem particularly well made so between that and the lack of help, I decided to just leave. Even though there's way more selection online, I almost preferred to come into the store because it was so well curated and the associates were so helpful and nice. It's a great place to find fresh, classic yet kinda trendy pieces for work, weekends, or even special occasions (like weddings). They have a good range of price points too.
