I really had a craving for biscuits and while we were traveling through West Virginia, I kept seeing signs for Tudor's Biscuit World. So the morning we were leaving Charleston, instead of having breakfast at the hotel (and I do love a Hampton Inn breakfast) we made our way to the nearest Tudor's. The menu (see picture) can be overwhelming if you've never seen it. The lady at the counter asked what we wanted and it took a minute to figure it out. When I mentioned I wanted a biscuit that had ham on it, she asked if I wanted shaved, honey or country and I had to tell her I didn't know what she meant. Then she asked if it was our first time and when I told her "yes' she kindly explained that those were ham options. Then another worker said we came to the best location and everyone agreed. I ordered some sides (tots and hashbrowns) and the cashier told me she'd do the order as a combo because it was cheaper so she even saved me a few bucks. We got our coffee and then sat down to wait for our food. The server who brought the food was so nice and seemed to know everyone in the place. My ham, egg and cheese biscuit (with hashbrowns on it) was so good. I was not hungry until dinner time, it was so filling. I like my homemade biscuits but I wished they tasted more like these. We really enjoyed the friendly service and the terrific food at this Tudor's Biscuit World. Remember, West Side is Best Side! read more

Hadn't been to a Tudors in several years. Order contains 3 sausage patties which were black in color, both sides and completely tough & dry. Biscuits were almost tough like they had been microwaved, not fresh. Was there at 2:20pm when just a couple of people eating in dining room and a new manager was working to fill up condiments on table. Everything looked clean but food was way overcooked. We arrived 15 minutes before closing and although the restaurant was still open they were no longer serving.

I wanted to eat here but I left when I saw how dirty the place is and when I watched an employee drop a container of either butter or syrup on the floor and place it in a bag that was going out to someone in the drive through. For what it is (a fast food breakfast joint) Tudors is pretty good. The biscuits are double the size of anything you'll get at McDonald's or Burger King, and 10x better. One of my favorite items is the biscuits and gravy. Good mix of sausage in the gravy, and it's old fashion style like your grandma would make. read more

Our server was very nice, but the food was not tasty. I purchased the Super Breakfast and I barely ate it. My other three family members purchased the same thing and they had no complaints. My son ordered a cheeseburger and fries and was pleased. The women's restroom was nasty. It needed a few cleaning. I am glad I got to try something new, but it just wasn't for me. read more

Wow, a classic restaurant but gross conditions. Dirty floor, dirty counters, dirty tables. Doors nasty with hand prints. Covid shield on counter...dirty. Cashier...terribly unfriendly. The person in the dining room cleaning tables..literally sat there doing nothing at all the entire time we had breakfast. I even said hello to her and she just stared at me. So rude. The only friendly person was the young lady who brought the food to the tables...she was upbeat, cheerful, and friendly. Clean up your act in this restaurant. It's just awful. read more

Even better than Biscuitville in North Carolina. Flaky, buttery, melts in your mouth. I like the quintessential WV vibe. I loved the fresh taste of the biscuit. I chose the canadian bacon one and I wasn't disappointed at all. There were so many others that sounded wonderful though. Even though it's "fast food", the quality was suberb. The service was friendly. The portion size and flavor was spot-on. I've passed through Charleston on 77 for well over 30 years, but I've actually never stopped here. I can promise you though, from now on, this WILL be a regular stop. read more

On my way down South to help some friends who lost everything in Hurricane Florence, I was driving through Charleston, WV. I was hungry and got a craving for Tudor's biscuit world near my old neighborhood. When this restaurant was first built, they had excellent service and delicious southern breakfast food. Now it's totally disappointing! Firstly, the drive-thru was so slow, I added almost 20 minutes to my ETA! 20 minutes for a biscuit sandwich?! But the thing that bugged me the most was that they gave me a biscuit that was already falling apart. Why do they use crumbling or broken biscuits for their sandwiches? They should use them for biscuits and gravy, since you need a fork to eat it. Biscuit sandwiches are eaten with your hands. And that means if it's crumbling and falling apart, you will not be able to fully enjoy it. Instead, you will be getting your hands and your clothing dirty picking large crumbles off of yourself, and spending time putting the sandwich back together so that you can try to eat it. And I'd like you to just try eating a broken/crumbling biscuit sandwich while driving on the WV Turnpike. Annoying! Never again. If I ever get another Tudor's Biscuit World craving, I'll find a different location. read more

The food is Tudors. The taste is the same across locations. What loses stars at this location is the details. Stick tables, dirty crumb rails, assorted trash on the floors, and a general we don't care about cleaning. The beauty of this location is the speed of order completion. They seem to consistently get you in and out fast. This is great in the mornings before work. However if you dine in expect to request an attendant clean a table or bring some clorox wipes. read more

Probably my worst experience eating out in a very long time. The customer service was horrible. They acted put out when we ordered. Like changing fries to onion rings was unheard of, even though it was an option on the menu. My BLT was pictured on toast but came on a biscuit. Apparently some of these reviews are not for the right Tudor's. There are 4-5 Tudor's in the Charleston area and the one on Lee Street is by far the best one. Actually, it is probably the best Tudor's in the state. It is always clean, the staff are very professional and friendly, and the food is awesome. The staff always tries to make the customer feel special and make their mealtime special. The tables are kept clean at all times, even when the place is full of patrons. Even the rest rooms are kept clean. I can tell you for certain the employees at this Tudor's are all hard-working and very considerate. read more

I go just about every day, and I've noticed that in the past 2-3 months, the drive thru service has become, sporadically, WAY TOO SLOW for me to wait (15 minutes+) It takes less time for me to drive to the Tudors East End - not joking. Food is mostly good though! Love the egg-melt. read more

Been there several times and they always are in consistent with there food. You ask for over easy eggs, the yolk is cooked hard. When I sent it back, they came back the same way. The meat is always cold and don't butter their biscuits like other Tudors would do. To get extra butter, I had to pay for it. Because I new they wouldn't put the butter on the biscuit as I asked.
