UPDATE: My shed installation was completed on Friday 6/10/2022. Now that everything is installed and complete I can say I am very happy with the shed. The communication could have been a little bit better and things could have went a little bit smoother, but all in all they did give me what I asked for in a reasonable amount of time and made sure I was happy in the end. Added a picture of my completed shed happily in use. Update, I received a call and an apology for the delayed call back. I was advised the installation will be completed this afternoon. If that happens, I'll be happy customer and will consider using them again. I waited 2 weeks for them to install my shed. They came on Tuesday 06/07/2022 at 3:00 p.m. The installers left after 9:00 p.m. on that date. My shed is incomplete because they brought the wrong door and the one they brought did not fit. It is now Friday 06/10/2022, after sending an email, making several calls (no answer), leaving a few voicemails, I still have no idea when they plan on completing the shed. read more

We bought our new Tuff Shed from Nicholas. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and we ended up with exactly what we wanted and needed at a very reasonable price. The installers were great. It was supposed to rain the next day, and so they stayed late to get the roof on so that it would be dried in for the rain. I highly recommend this location. Tuff She'd put up just over a year ago. I had some warranty issues that I called toTuff Shed about. The entire team from the people taking the call, the initial repairman who came to verify problem and finally Dusty who made the repairs where all excellent. Dusty discussed with me the potential issues and how he was going to make the repairs. Dusty listened to each of my concerns and made sure he addressed each one to my satisfaction. I bought a tuff shed at home depot, after it was installed i wanted ramps so i was referred to the tuff shed location in Hutchins. I ordered the ramps and chose to go pick them up and save $75 for service fee to have them come install. The guy I had dealt with said he was going to be off on the day I was to pick them up but would have them set aside for me. I got there and one of the ramps was dirty with rust all over the back of it, dirty, you could tell it was used. They said they would get another one from the back. Do not buy from Tuff Shed in Terrell Texas - location HOME DEPOT TERRELL ! I am sure many of you saw this post about a damaged storm building located at Home Depot Terrell yesterday . I contacted Elizabeth as the text shows in the pictures. We agreed on a price of 3500 to have it moved to my location. I drove to Home Depot Terrell texas to arrange payment for the building. Elizabeth said I could pay for it with my Home Depot credit card and receive a discount. I handed her my master card - she said no need- she would let me come back with the Home Depot credit card. I was driving back to pay for the building and she called and said Sean Hough of Tuff SHed had backed out of sale. I spent an entire day and paid a deposit to a contractor so it could built on my property . Elizabeth was apologetic and said she couldn't do anything but she would let Sean know that we had an agreement . She had posted this building all over Facebook. Sean finally called me 5 hours later. I really thought we could work something out but he was dishonest and talked over me not letting me speak. He said everything was still negotiating- those of you that saw the post know it said " buy storm damaged building for 3500 " - He said he didn't care if I posted on Facebook - he wouldn't offer any resolution - wow how is that customer service ? He didn't care. That's exactly what he said. What I can't understand is that this was a completed deal - he didnt care that I lost money based on Seans word and Elizabeth's word. How can any business care so little about customers who spent time and hard earned money. Tuff Shed - this is so wrong ! If you care so little for people why would anyone do business with you. I am a very busy person I do not write negative statements that I can't back up. I do not write negative reviews because I'm too busy. But this situation was handled so terribly I really want everyone who is considering an addition to reconsider and stop and remember how terribly they treated me. They clearly don't care. I am so glad we used Tuff-Shed when choosing our shed. Originally, we were going to go with a box store who offered some of the Tuff -Shed options, but it was so much more convenient to go directly to the source and have all the color, roof, and door options to choose from. Nicholas was so patient with us and helped us choose every detail. We were wanting to install in conjunction with some other back yard projects and he was always patient when we needed to change install dates and times. Out of the 4 contractors working on our back yard over the last 2 months, Tuff-Shed was the most organized, prompt and worry free to work with. I read the other 2 reviews and was shocked. The first mentioned that they did not pull permits. Well, it is up to the home owner, not Tuff Shed, to pull permits. I added electricity to my shed and my electrician had no problem putting receptacles where I wanted them as the interior was open 2x4 studs (just like in a house). I had my Tuff Shed installed at my RV site in Arizona. It came the day promised, was built onsite in just a few hours, and looks exactly like I planned. The installer was amazing. The spot I planned was almost level and he took the time to shim up the metal base to exact level before he and his partner assembled the pre-cut pieces on top of the base. While he was leveling the base his partner was putting a second coat of paint on the body of the shed. At my request, they left me a little of the paint which I have not needed after a year in the Arizona hot sun. All parts were pre-cut and fit exactly. I could see that they didn't have to modify anything to get it assembled. It fit as perfectly as a premium jig saw puzzle. read more

On the front end, the company was responsive and great customer service. Now that I've gotten the storage shed installed and paid for, I have been trying to get them to come and repair the lock for over 9 months. I've called numerous times and no one ever calls back. Initially, back in November 2020, I was texted and advised someone would be calling to schedule...absolutely no response from anyone. Very disappointed! I haven't been able to lock my shed because it malfunctioned within 3-5 months of my shed being installed. read more

Do not trust anything the salesmen or GM tells you. Get everything in writing. They will promise anything to get a sale and not deliver what they promised. They only use the phone to answer questions... never e-mail or actual contract, so there is no proof what was agreed too I bought a demo cabin and was told it was 2x6 construction and it was only 2x4 construction. I was told that the building would be anchored to the ground and it was not. I was told that cabin I was to it would only take 2 weeks to construct, it took over a year and a half to get the building moved and rebuilt in a acceptable condition. I was told that they would repair anything that was damaged. They would only repair items that you would complain about several weeks or months. Still can't get them to replace a french door that was broken during the reconstruction. It took 5 month to answer how much it would cost to have piers put in instead of concrete blocks. I called Home Depot in Tyler to get a outside sales representative to come to my resident to give me a quote being I wanted what I wanted built. I have my Home Depot card after we agreed on what I wanted. The sales representative Matthew Calotta out of Shreveport LA Very hard guy to get out and after he took my Home Depot card information I was never able to reach him again. So I called Tuff Shed to confirm everything in Hutchins Tx talked to a Erica very short and rudely to me on the phone. I wanted to make sure they had my door opening correct because the sales representative was not answering his phone. Erica stated the building was pretty much ready and the door opening was 36x70 and I told her I was putting a pre-hung residential door. She said they can't change the order and she repeatedly said what do you want me to do cancel the order. I told her all the have to do is move one 2x4 over 2 inches and it will work. She stated we can't do that. So tuff shed is the last place I would ever call again. read more

Horrible customer service. Tried for weeks to get the Hutchins office scheduling department to call me back. No communication!! Product was good and so were the sub contractors but dealing direct with this office was a total nightmare. Took over 30 days to complete my 20x20 garage which should only have taken 3 days. read more

I talked with a sales rep from Tuff Shed back in June 2020 to discuss options on a shed. One of the questions that I asked was "what is the estimated time to installation?" She informed me that it would be 1 week out. So I proceeded to go online and fill out the build order. After filling out the build order, she called me back and asked if I had questions. I asked again about the installation and was then told it would be about 3 weeks out. I received an installation date in an auto generated email from Tuff Shed on 6/15/2020 that stated my installation date was scheduled for 7/16/2020. On 7/6/2020, I sent an email to the Tuff Shed representative that had worked with me on the signing of the documents for the "Finalization Order". I asked if he could confirm that we are still scheduled for 7/16/2020 installation. He replied that same day, "Confirmed, you are on for Thursday the 16th in the afternoon." On 7/9/2020, I received an email from Tuff Shed stating that my shed was going into the production queue tomorrow (7/10/2020). This email was to make sure that any changes to my order were addressed within 24 hours to avoid a delay or change order fees. A reminder was in that email stating that the installation of the shed was set for 7/16/2020. On 7/16/2020, around 11:00 am CST, I decided to call Tuff Shed to see if I could get a better estimate than "afternoon" on the installation. The girl stated that I wasn't on the schedule for today. She said it was mid-August. I asked to speak to the individual that emailed me that my installation was set for today. I spoke with that individual and he started to apologize that COVID-19 had impacted their schedules. While I can appreciate the current issues with COVID-19, I explained that no one had the decency to notify me that they were not showing up. He then tried to state that someone had called and texted. I said that was flat out false as I have my phone logs for the last week. I continued to explain that I had taken a day off from work, reshuffled my daughter's work schedule also in order to be available to his company to do the installation. I also stated that because of the lack of respect for their customers by not notifying them of a scheduled installation that got moved, their company needed to make this right or I wanted my money back. He was professional and said he would contact Home Depot to see what they could work out. I have bought other sheds through Tuff Shed. The last shed I purchased was a semi-pleasant purchase. I don't believe companies should disrespect the very customers that keep their businesses operating. I want Tuff Shed to honor it's commitment to its customers (either by sticking to the agreed upon installation date or giving respect to the customer and notifying them ahead of time that the schedule has changed). The customer should not have to call the company on the day of the installation to find out that it was moved for several more weeks. If Tuff Shed cannot install this shed right away, they need to compensate my family for the major inconvenience it imposed on us by not notifying us promptly the installation date was moved. If they cannot compensate us for that inconvenience, they need to refund the money and expect to never have our business again. read more

This company builds NON-COMPLIANT buildings. One was built in our neighborhood....no city permit obtained, roof higher than in plans, cannot get electricity due to no permit, ordinances violated. Buyer beware. There are NUMEROUS non compliant buildings by this company in our area. read more

Terrible installation and customer service. The shed was installed July 10 and at the next rain the window leaked, leaving tons of water on the interior floor. I called Tuff Shed and they sent a person out to fix it. He said that it was fixed but the next time it rained, the window leaked worse than before. I called Tuff Shed 4 days ago and have not called back. I called again today and they said all they can do is pass my info along to the warranty person who does not call back. They refused to give me a number or contact info for anyone else there. I would not buy a shed from this company again and am actively telling my neighbors and friends to avoid them. read more
