Emerging from the pandemic, I wanted to get my eyes checked again so I called for an appointment. I was given an appointment and then I received a call that my appointment would be canceled unless I called to discuss my insurance. I have Tufts Health Together presently, which is a MassHealth plan. I have had lots of other types of other insurance in the past, and this is only temporary. When I finally talked to Dr. Bahn's office, the woman who spoke to me was very, very curt with me (as if she didn't want to waste her time with me), as she told me Dr. Bahn didn't take my insurance and that she was canceling my appointment. I asked her how much it would cost to pay completely out of pocket, and she said and I quote: "It's $175.00 just to walk in the door." I really like Dr. Bahn but I will never return as her patient even if my next insurance is the best that money can buy. People should be nicer to one another, especially now.

The sudden onset of vision loss was of great concern to me. Upon contacting Dr. Bhan's office, Dr Bhan made time to immediately see me, no days of waiting. My access to her care was immediate and excellent. Dr Bhan's outstanding "bedside manner" is warm, reassuring and highly informative. Her compassionate demeanor immediately gave me great confidence and reassurance that all would be fine. Upon my arrival at her office, I was immediately taken into the exam room. The exam environment is clean and filled with what appeared to be every conceivable type of equipment she would need, as well as several models of the human eye and associated structures. These items help me understand what was wrong with my sight and how Dr. Bhan recommended we solve the problem. I decided to go forward with having both eyes corrected. Karen in the front office was a very valuable asset to me. She explained all the pre-op requirements, ordered specific medication for pre-op preparations and was there to assist us every time we called. Thank you, Karen! When I arrived at the hospital to have the procedure performed the intake and day surgery preparations were fast and easy. Dr. Bhan greeted me in pre-op, once again thoroughly explained what was about to happen and out, I went! After two weeks of recovery my sight is 20/15 and I have never been able to see so clearly. I also appreciate Dr. He's straightforwardness. She doesn't let me off the hook for what I need to be doing to keep myself healthy - eating right, losing weight, and taking my meds as prescribed. I feel that my care plan is exactly right for me, and it better be, since I was a partner in creating it. It's refreshing to have a doctor and her staff that doesn't just want to give me more pills to take, but count on me to do what I have to do to be well. Should have listened to the other review since I did read it before going. Decided to try out for…read moremyself and it turned out to be a huge mistake. I was greeted by one of the staff's dog running around the entire office and waiting room. Didn't seem very sanitary to me considering this was a doctor's office. I had to introduce myself to Dr. He at the front desk my second visit since she never had the decency to meet me the two different times I was there as a new patient. I was really upset when Dr. He submitted my routine physical incorrectly to my insurance. The insurance company assured she was in network and covered the cost of the routine physical she just needed to submit the proper coding. I called at least three times to Dr He's office to get this fixed. Each time I was told that it would be taken care of. When I would call back to follow up I would find nothing was done and would get an excuse why nothing had been done. Each time there was a new excuse. Basically I was lied to so I would get off the phone and they had no intentions of helping me. One of the times Dr. He got on the phone and started yelling at me about how I don't understand my insurance plan. I eventually drove back to the office and handed Dr. He the phone to speak with my insurance company. They would not tell me what was discussed but did say one of the codes submitted was for a person between the ages of 40-72. I am 33. Maybe Dr. He would know how old I am if she actually took interest and met with me. In the end it sounded as though if she were to resubmit the proper coding then she would get in trouble for fraud since everything had already been processed. As a result, she would not go through with the proper coding in order to cover herself. Run the other way if you are considering this physician. Dr. He is a fraud and will process your visits incorrectly leaving you in a black hole with your insurance companies and her office staff.

For the past ~20 years I've seen doctors here on and off, and I've always felt like my health concerns have been taken seriously which as a woman isn't a guarantee. I've got to assume the reason appointments are always so far in the future is because they're not accepting new patients and that's how long physicals are pushed out for. As a patient already seeing them, they've been able to schedule me same-day multiple times. The women who will answer the phones if you call here are always busy which I think some people can misinterpret as rude, which I don't think merits a bad review.

I have been going there for quite a while, and everyone there, at one point or another, has gone above and beyond to help me. Vicky, Dr. Goldman's assistant, is marvelous. She is always so pleasant and personable. Recently, I discovered that it was she who took it upon herself to write what must have been a master crafted PA in order to obtain Lidoderm Patches for me. I have been trying to obtain them via insurance for over a year. Three doctors have tried, as well. These patches are the one thing that cures my pain. I had resorted to buying them from Canada for close to $200. One day, I got a letter in the mail stating my appeal had been approved. Now, a month's supply is under $5. Dr. Goldman is a stellar doctor, who takes time to listen and offer knowledgeable, compassionate feedback. I've never felt rushed out his office. He's sincerely concerned and has been there for me during recent health crises, which I will never forget. He's also funny, witty and sharp. His calming demeanor has made me feel at ease. I don't normally call health providers, but have called Dr. Goldman. I feel comfortable with him, and know he's not going to balk at my concern(s). He really wants to help, and it shows. Dr Goldman is patient, curtious and knowledgable. I never feel like they are rushing through my apts (I've also seen one of the PAs here). Been here for both annual exams and sick visits and have been happy with the outcome The office runs pretty much on time. The front desk is nice. On site phlebotomy a plus. Exam rooms are either freezing or over-heated. Way to go NWPC!

This past year I had seen Dr. Lacava for three appointments to address health issues due to…read moremold/biotoxin toxicity illness. After my second appt. I was prescribed 12 different supplements to take which was both questioned and ridiculed by my PCP & Functional Medicine Doctor I signed up with shortly after my third appointment with Dr. Lacava. Also when I had a tick bite that was not confirmed to have lyme his solution was to prescribe 600mg of Doxycycline to take daily for 30 days consecutively described as my PCP as the "nuclear option" which he was glad to find out I consulted with him first about this. Lastly we had discussed in my second appt. that he would help me with FMLA paperwork if I was not feeling better by our third appt. I reluctantly went to the third because of the cost and I had not made any progress since the second in the hopes he would keep his word, which at the end of the third he said he could not be "burdened by the paperwork" and to ask my PCP. During this appointment I was informed that I was not taking the correct amount of multivitamins he prescribed which was the sole reason I was not recovering and the other 11 prescribed supplements were ineffective without the multi vitamins. He looked me strait in the face and told me "You just don't want to get better", because I was not taking the correct amount of vitamins, regardless of the thousands of dollars spent on testing and treatment with him I clearly just did not want to get better. I've heard at one time he prescribed adequate care but he has fallen short of his ability as a provider. Don't waste your time, money, or effort here. He should not be trusted with anyone's health.

I was looking for a…read morepediatrician for my daughter and came across these reviews and decided To recommend my daughter to bring her first child to see him and decided to write a review as well . I'm going to try to break down my experience to a minimum but keep in mind a LOT happened in between but I would need to write a book in order to write everything that I went thru . In 2014 Dr lacava Dx'd me with Lyme disease. Prior to this I saw multiple doctors that treated me horrible, didnt listen to me, treated me like I was just there for the attention, treated me like it was all in my head, this includes the ER, neurology, & Infectious disease. my Primary doctors NP was the one who said "lets just do a lyme test" that started my journey reading about lyme disease and the ineffectiveness of the testing and CDC guidelines etc. I became an expert myself, I found dr lacava who did a whole bunch of blood tests and found i did in fact have lyme. and babesia . treated me for a year with anti malaria, antibiotics and to give you an idea how i felt? I thought i was dying a slow death and even wrote journals to both my kids so they would have something special from me when i was gone. No one but dr lacava LISTENED to me. TESTED me and TREATED me the way I should have been Listened to tested and treated. after a year i finally felt like a living human again . He also did allergy testing and found some things i was sensitive to and should stay away from and i have done just that. his visits were at times, long and tedious with his method of paperwork you have to fill out but worth every minute of my time. Some visits yes i did have to wait but that just shows that he DOES listen to ALL his patients no matter how long it took . he NEVER rushed me EVER. And the staff there is phenomenal so yes if i could give Dr Lacava and the staff stars? They would get 10
