Pasta here is absolutely amazing! Green chili and pesto are the best I've ever had. Would recommend to anyone in ABQ!

I've been going there ever since. A few years ago, they added a bakery. It is chock full of delicious cookies, eclairs, cannolis, and you can even get a wedding cake there. Most recently, I went with some coworkers for lunch and ordered the Bella Mozzarella sandwich. Beautiful, thick slices of fresh mozzarella, loaded with tomatoes and basil. The bread was super fresh, and the potato salad was very flavorful. My coworker got an eclair on our way out. I just had a bite and it was divine. The older gentleman behind the counter was courteous and friendly. The atmosphere is laid-back, and the side wall is covered in shelves that contain imported pasta and various other products from Italy. There's a freezer case filled with premade meals and meat. If you haven't been there, it's definitely worth a stop

Over the years I keep going back, about once a year: I've had their sandwiches, their pastries, their pies . . . all kinda "meh" and all priced pretty reasonably but not inexpensively. Sandwiches give you a lot of everything . . . except flavor. Pastries are . . . fine. Pies are . . . fine, and kinda small (and not inexpensive, maybe reaching towards pricey); it's the kinda thing you are willing to pay for in order to bring it to a gathering, only to find almost no one bothers to eat it. And so you don't bother. The cookies are pretty good, actually. (And, yes, I know Italian delis - my Italian grandparents brought me to them in New York when I was a child. However, I'm not judging Tully's against these (as in "it's not as good as Back East"), I'm just saying it never really turns my crank.) Today I had a hot chicken, cheese, onion and pepper sandwich, the Carmela. It was a lot of food. But . . . not a lot of flavor. A whole lot of drippy mess in the bottom of my basket, though: water absolutely sopped through the (completely unmemorable tasting) bread loaf and pooled at the bottom of my basket as I ate in. The potato salad served alongside was fine - like what you'd get at Albertson's. The chicken was tender and . . . essentially without flavor, not even salt. There had clearly been a little marinade (I could sense some oregano and maybe garlic in there) but man could this thing have used about five times as much seasoning and then a healthy dose of a vinegar/garlic/oregano dressing on top of it. Bland. Lots of food in that $17 (almost $25 with tip) sandwich, but not a lot of enjoyment. I've had other Tully's sandwiches (both for here and to-go) that were better, but I can't really recall any of them . . . and I _never_ rush back. Like I said, this is a place I think about ("Hey, I'm right nearby; I should try Tully's again!") about once a year . . . and then, meh. To be fair - I believe that I am pretty out in left field on this take: Tully's is popular and always hopping. Get here early unless you want to stand in line. I only had to wait about three minutes to order, but by the time I left at noon this Friday there was a line to order all the way from the counter to the door. In terms of the room, it's a deli. Reasonably well set out with a decent amount of seating set out well, as well as some outside seating that you might want to try when it's not in the nineties. You order at the counter, pay, go get your own fountain drink (they also have some beer and wine, which they will serve you), find a seat and they'll bring it to you. When you're done, you bus it yourself. Pleasant staff - I don't regret tipping, although they don't do much. (As others have mentioned, if you get a cup of water, Tully's generously gives you a decent sized Solo cup - another plus.) It's fine. If you go, at least get yourself some cookies - they're pretty good.

The service was fast and friendly (Dylan was so kind and checked back with us often), with many favorite suggestions and a pretty extensive menu. The first time that my fiance and I went there we had lunch, which was an amazing experience! It was a Wednesday afternoon in late January. Our waitress was the best waitress you can ask for, very attentive and on point, number one... Our salads, the Citrus Braised Beet & Pecan Salad and the Arugula & Spinach Caesar Salad, were amazing, number two... And our lunch, Spaghettini & Chianina Meatballs and Eggplant Parmesan, were amazing, number three. Awesome, right?? Here's the kicker.... My fiance wanted to take me either to Bien Shur or Level 5 for Valentine's Day. I'm a girl and he's trying to be very romantic, which I applaud!!! Those restaurants supposedly have the ambience of a romantic setting with views at sunset. So I poured over the menus and Google reviews from those two restaurants as well as other restaurants that friends have suggested and, after wanting the best quality food for a competitive price (even though price is of no object to him, but I AM an absolute food critic, especially coming from New York City and having eaten at different establishments across the country, so he left the final decision to me), I told him that we should go back to M'Tucci's Twenty-Five... I am Italian and he is Spanish, so I was hoping to introduce his tastebuds to the best Italian cuisine near to what I am accustomed to... So we went to M'Tucci's at 5pm on a Wednesday evening hoping to get the same service as last time... Nada, niente We sat down and I already had an idea of how I wanted the courses to go... but from beginning to end, a different waitress tried to rush us through the entire dinner EVERY STEP of the way as if we were a bother to her even though hardly any other customers were there... It was uncomfortable, so I skipped over the salads and went straight to the Applewood Smoked Portobella Risotto and the Pappardelle Porcini Pasta, figuring they would go greatly hand in hand... As we were waiting, I described to my fiance how Risotto is delicate, delicious, and hard to find on any menu because it cannot be under-cooked nor overcooked... it has to be "al dente," cooked but firm... fluffy and tasty with Porcini mushroom sauce, it will be amazing... Well the only thing firm and amazing about the Risotto at M'Tucci's were the few shavings of fresh mushrooms on top. The rest of the dish, ALL of the rice, was just MUSH!!! Which is NOT what's supposed to happen with any type of Risotto. A heartbreaking disappointment!!!... As for the Pappardelle Porcini Pasta, which was pasta in Porcini Cream Sauce with Pan Seared Chicken, the ONLY thing that was fresh were the cuts of chicken on top of the pasta... ALL of the pasta was just MUSH!!! So neither the rice nor the pasta were al dente. We couldn't finish neither dish. It was disappointing, embarrassing, and pretty much inedible. Next, our entrees were the Five Pork Bolognese and the "Cut of the Day, Hand Cut Steak, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, and Grilled Asparagus." He knows that I LOVE Filet Mignon and that that was exactly what I wanted for Valentine's Day, which was why he was trying to take me to Bien Shur. While we were at M'Tucci's, he joked that the Cut of the Day would be a T-Bone. I laughed and said it better not be. Sure enough, it was a huge T-Bone steak!! Thankfully his Five Pork Bolognese turned out well because I can forgo bad dishes, but the least I want is for him to have a bad dish!!! So my T-Bone was okay, not great by any means... definitely not the Valentine's Day dinner nor experience that I was expecting from a high-end restaurant. The wine wasn't even good. Only the Five Pork Bolognese dish was the redeeming factor that night. Needless to say, we haven't gone back there. Don't get your hopes up, especially for a romantic occasion.

The first couple slices of bread are complimentary but that is all we wanted since we didn't want to get full eating just the bread. Once our main meals came out, they looked delicious. My Husband liked his baked penne al forno but said it could be a little less noodle in portion. I had the chicken parmesan the chicken was great but it was served in a bowl like dish, so it was difficult to cut up. It was on a bed of penne pasta had no sauce under the chicken. Only the top of the plate had sauce and cheese. I asked for some extra sauce and they came out with a little one ounce serving cup. When I asked for another small cup, they said they would need to charge me two dollars for more. The pasta under my chicken was so dry I decided to take the rest home and add my own sauce. This was a huge disappointment for me and I didn't want to offend them by saying the pasta had no sauce underneath and was very dry. I guess we won't be coming back and will try other places in town that are more affordable and nickel and dime people for bread and sauce.

We shared an eggplant marinara and bruchetta for appetizers. Both were good but nothing special. I absolutely LOVED my entree though. I got the penne alla vodka and added pancetta. YUM! The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was rich and delicious. It paired perfectly with my glass of wine. We all shared the cheesecake for dessert. It was fluffy and not too dense. The berry coulis was definitely needed for sweetness but we enjoyed it. The wait staff was awesome. Our water glasses were never empty and it felt like we were being waited on by 3 people because everyone was so in sync. Upon leaving we all agreed it was delicious and we cant wait to come back for another girls night!
