    Lasagna

We've had both to-go and dine in, I would recommend dining in as its a world of difference. The calamari was really good, would definitely recommend it to anyone. The lasagna is famous and after you taste it, you'll see why. It's flavorful, rich, and filling. I could see it being too rich for someone if they tried to eat it all in one sitting. I don't do lasagna that often, but this would be at the top of my personal list. Our server was super nice and was on point keeping tabs on us. There was a special going on the last time we were there and the vaule for what we ordered was an easy 10 out 10 for us. I had to take my dessert home, I was so full.

RATS!! We visited this location today and were seated in the back room, where we noticed a rat climbing along the wires. We immediately reported it to the manager, who moved us to another area. Unfortunately, the service following that was extremely poor. The staff seemed rushed and dismissive, and one even announced that our card had declined -- loudly -- when our bank confirmed the charge was never attempted. Overall, it was an unpleasant experience and the worst service I've ever received at a restaurant. Update: the owner reached out and provided some in sight. They are working on this issue with a couple pest controls. The owner was very polite and showed concern with the way we were treated after reporting this. He states there will be a full refund for our meals unfortunately this should have been something the manager offered at the time this happened not just an after thought. This is a family owned restaurant so I understand the post can be hurtful to business. I will post another edit if we ever go back there.

The interior was very iconic ambiance for a family owned local Italian restaurant. It looked really cute inside, but around this time I was getting most of my meals to go so I didn't eat inside. I was told the lasagna was very popular so I got it. And yes it was pretty good, I did enjoy it. Was cheesy, the marinara tasted good, and the pasta itself had a good texture. It didn't blow my socks off but it would be worthy of another visit

I had the spaghetti and meatballs extra sauce. I add a dinner salad with Italian dressing. It was good. I had very good service. The waiter was so nice. His name is chuck I like the way he put your leftover food in to go containers to take home and he packs it up for you at the restaurant. I really like their bread to dip in oil and they have the best fried zucchini with ranch dressing there at the restaurant.

The food here is consistently good. I just love their lasagna and I have had lasagna on the brain all week, and too lazy to make some at home. Such a production. The meatball and tortellini soup with wilted fresh spinach is always a winner. The order of spaghetti and meatballs was huge and 1/2 went home. We each got a chocolate chip cannoli to go. It will be devoured later, as I am so full now. Always like the bruschetta and fresh bread and took home the few recipes slices of that too. Our server was efficient. A second glass, a refill, of lemonade was ordered and we were charged $6.00 extra for that. I thought refills were complimentary. I guess not. When I have a lasagna craving, we will be back.

Nice greeting at the door with a nice atmosphere had me enthused about dinner. Got seated at our table, one of six active tables and eight staff I noted....waited a solid five minutes before being acknowledged by a waiter if we had been helped....said no an he went and got our waiter who was polite and apologized for the delay. I thought it was odd the other seven staff weren't situationally aware that money could be made getting a cocktail or wine....in my mind they were struggling to get two stars. The server though was sincere and was helpful afterwards. Shrimp pasta dish was good with a slight kick and I would definitely do it again next visit to the area. Lasagna was cheesy and good too with just the right amount of everything. Another must try next visit. Good ambiance, wine pour was a little underwhelming for Chianti. The losing star is split with the manager and hostess for no communication that a table (I.e. paying customer) arrived.

    Caesar salad

Seems really strange to visit New Mexico and want to go eat Italian but based on all the reviews I knew we had to try it. I must say...Joe's did not disappoint! We had the Caesar salad-so good! Then we had spaghetti with meat sauce and the stuffed eggplant appetizer. Everything was amazing' our server was Tim and provided above and beyond service to us. Do not hesitate to go visit this place if you are in the area!

The food was authentic Italian. Everything was hot and tasty. Servers were friendly even the owner was there greeting everyone and checking on their food. Only small complaint was the bread could be better.

    Cannoli

4.5 stars Oh, so good. I normally don't come to this side of town, but I've been wanting to try Joe's for some time now. We came on a weekday, not too crowded at first. The outside looks unassuming, but don't let that fool you. We were seated near the fireplace. Our server was friendly and food came out quickly (and hot too!). While we were waiting, we got complimentary bread and olive oil (so good). I got the shrimp parmesan and my friend got the chicken alfredo, which both were heaping portions. The shrimp parmesan came with about 9 breaded jumbo shrimp with a heaping portion of spaghetti on the side ($22)- just enough for another meal. We finished off by splitting a cannoli- the filling more on a viscous side, but could taste the hints of orange coming through. 2024 #36

Honesty from the supposed owners!!! Beware of your check because my daughter asked for some lemon 2x and they didn't advise us that they charged 1.75 each small bowl!!! Then straight up said they have to basically up prices on other things in order to keep the seafood prices down . Then I wrote a Google review and another owner straight up lied on his response to me... I don't like dishonesty and I greatly value customer service in which they fail at both . For a few slices of lemon they messed up a possible regular customer... The food was ok but pretty pricey for what you get. The seafood buffet is about the same price and definitely worth going to instead of dealing with know it all management/owners that will argue over extra lemon.

I am a mermaid at heart so of course the seashell theme was on point. I was on a solo date and the patio was a sweet place to sit outside under string lights and enjoy the views of the mountains in the background. I love to try new things so I was delighted they had an oystertini (yep you guessed it, a martini with an oyster in it!) The lions mane mushrooms were to die for. Insane flavor and texture. The salmon was cooked " medium" which I've never really had before, and it was so palatable and luxurious. Nothing worse than overcooked fish ha ha. Dominic was my server and he was especially attentive and sweet and conversational. Great energy. The rest of the staff had a similar vibe. 10 out of 10 would love to come back. One thing to note: the food is very RICH with a lot of oils, kind of like French food, so next time I wouldn't order as many heavy items (my fault not theirs !) and I would pair it with some lighter faire they offer such as one of their salads. Overall, such a treat.

Unfortunately, they didn't ask us if we had a special occasion we were celebrating, but overall the service was great. The ambiance was pretty nice and there is a back patio that has a few tables. They have a large array of oysters from the east coast and west coast. The oysters and the way they served and prepared were good. They do have raw clams also which I thought strange, but I'm probably just not fancy enough. We ordered a few appetizers including green chili hush puppies which seemed to need a little more Smokey green chili flavor and they were a bit dry. The lobster deviled eggs are sort of tart and flavorless and I didn't get any lobster on mine. My friend said the lobster rolls were good, and I had a salmon special that was out of this world delicious and cooked to perfection!! The red curry mussels were also outstanding!! Could use a bit more spice and salt, but really good. One of the kiddos didn't want raw food, but he also couldn't find much on the menu for kids. They were out of what he ordered and when they finally did get his order, his food came out about 15 minutes after the rest of the table. They did comp out appetizers so that was nice, but in my opinion they should have comped his meal since they didn't have what he wanted and then served him so much later. Their alcoholic fancy beverages were great. I had a glass of wine that was good. I would suggest offering more wines and meals from the adjacent wine bar and restaurant to Lure as well. They have a few kinks to work out, but I think they are on the right track. There is no phone so it's very difficult to make a reservation. I recommend visiting this place and trying some of their food during off hours. I'm not sure I'd recommend their appetizers yet, but with a few tweaks they will improve. Cheers!

After several locals recommended Antiquity, we quickly learned why reservations are so hard to come by. We couldn't secure a table on our actual anniversary, but managed to get one a couple of nights later, and it was well worth the wait. From the outside, Antiquity is understated. Step inside, however, and you're immediately welcomed into a warm, intimate atmosphere that feels like a hidden gem tucked away in Old Town Albuquerque. Owner Steve, who has been running the restaurant for nearly three decades, greeted us personally. His passion for hospitality was evident from the moment we arrived. While we waited briefly for our table, he took time to learn about us, ask what types of food we enjoy, and offer thoughtful menu recommendations. The restaurant itself is charming and authentic, with an old-world steakhouse feel that perfectly complements the historic New Mexico setting. Many of the tables and booths are arranged to create private, intimate dining spaces, making it an ideal choice for special occasions. We were touched when Steve seated us at what he called the "anniversary table," complete with a small scattering of heart confetti, despite our celebration having technically passed. Service throughout the evening was exceptional. Rather than relying on a single server, the entire staff worked seamlessly together. Water glasses were never less than half full, empty plates disappeared almost instantly, and every member of the team seemed genuinely invested in ensuring guests had a memorable experience. Even the kitchen staff engaged warmly with diners, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. As for the food, it exceeded every expectation. We started with oysters on the half shell, which my husband thoroughly enjoyed. I upgraded to the special salad, a beautiful combination of greens, apples, strawberries, mandarin oranges, walnuts, bacon, and a creamy mini brie, all brought together with a delicious pear vinaigrette. For our entrée, we chose the Châteaubriand for two. It was expertly prepared, carved tableside, and cooked perfectly. Every recommendation we received was spot-on, and the meal was so impressive that before leaving, I made another reservation for later that week just so I could return and try more of the menu before our trip ended. Antiquity offers beer and wine rather than a full bar, which was perfectly fine for us and fit the restaurant's classic, understated character. This is not an inexpensive dinner, nor should it be. What you're paying for is exceptional food, genuine hospitality, flawless service, and an atmosphere that is increasingly difficult to find. Antiquity doesn't simply serve dinner, it creates an experience. If you're visiting Albuquerque and looking for a memorable meal, especially for a special occasion, this restaurant deserves a spot at the very top of your list.

Arrived a few minutes early for our celebratory reservation and were seated right away in a quiet, private book surrounded by art and dim lighting. For starters, my gumbo was good, and his salad looked as good as it tasted. For entrees, husband got sucked in by the specials and ordered the schnitzel, which (to quote Shania) didn't impress me much. To clarify, there was nothing wrong with it, but I've had a lot of schnitzel, and it just failed to stand out. I kept to the classics with a filet mignon. To my surprise, it left the same impression. Again, absolutely nothing wrong with it - cooked well, quality cut, etc. - but I've had more memorable steaks at High Noon Saloon. *shrug* Highlight: The servers were exceptional. Lowlight: The sconce / light fixture over our table was in need of a dusting. Overall: A lovely evening to toast my guy's significant professional achievement. Would recommend if you find yourself stuck in the rut of bad service when dining out. Antiquity's dinner service will remind you how a night on the town is supposed to feel!

This charming little bistro near the south end of Old Town is elegant, welcoming, and truly a hidden gem. Having convenient on-site parking was a nice bonus, and we were warmly welcomed as soon as we arrived. Our server, Christopher, made the evening even more memorable. He was attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. He also took the time to recommend several local restaurants and places to visit, which we really appreciated. We started with the mussels, and they were outstanding--fresh, tender, and served in a rich, spicy butter broth with perfectly toasted crusty bread for dipping. My cedar plank salmon was cooked beautifully, full of flavor, and paired with a delicious chorizo risotto. My husband ordered the filet mignon, and after trying a bite, I can understand why he said it was one of the best steaks he's ever had. The mushroom risotto and seasonal vegetables were the perfect complement, and the fresh salad with homemade dressing was a great start to the meal. To top off the evening, the staff surprised me with a three-flavor sherbet dessert complete with a birthday candle and a thoughtful personalized birthday card. It was such a sweet touch that made me feel truly celebrated. We couldn't leave without trying the German chocolate cake, and it was the perfect ending to an unforgettable dinner. Everything from the food to the service exceeded our expectations. We can't wait to come back and try more of the menu the next time we're in town.
