Mai did my nails as usual, and I truly cannot say enough great things about her. Her attention to detail, professionalism, and kindness always make my appointments something I look forward to. Although we didn't catch her name, she did an amazing job and made his first experience very comfortable and enjoyable. I also want to mention the nail technician at table 3, she is incredibly talented and consistently does beautiful work. I sat in chair #1, and the nail technician didn't greet me or introduce herself. She immediately started doing my nails, and from the beginning, her energy felt very unwelcoming. While doing my nails, she repeatedly nicked my skin. At first, I didn't say anything, but I pulled my hand back slightly to show that I was uncomfortable. Instead of checking to make sure I was okay, she pulled my hand back and continued being rough. Once I spoke up about it, she told me to go to another chair. At that point, I was already uncomfortable and didn't feel confident continuing with another service. The manager did apologize and tried to find another appointment for me, which I appreciated. However, by then, I no longer felt comfortable and decided to leave. I understand that mistakes can happen, but I believe customers should feel welcomed, comfortable, and respected when receiving a service. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.

I booked a routine pedicure with Londyn. Londyn was very sweet and funny to chat with. I didn't…read morefeel uncomfortable at all and I love the aesthetic of her salon. However, she did one thing that has kind of made me weary on returning--cutting the sides of my toe nails. This was the first time I ever experienced pain during a pedicure. I have never had a nail tech do this, including her other nail technician Talia. I have heard many bad things about cutting the sides of nails, specifically that it increases the likelihood of ingrown nails. Additionally, she did not file my feet, and only applied a drill to specific areas very, very briefly. I do not want to question her abilities too much because I am not knowledgable about nail care, but these techniques have made me unlikely to book with her again for a pedicure. Edit: At first I gave the stars just because I hate giving a negative review to someone who was kind to me. But I really feel as though the shape of my toe nails have been temporarily ruined! :( Additional edit after Londyn's reply: A nail tech does not have to be a podiatrist to understand that toe nails should be cut straight across so that the likelihood of getting an ingrown toe nail are low. She did not confirm the shape I wanted during service, and furthermore, I'm not sure what me changing my nail polish color has to do with my initial review. It is on me, however, for not expressing any discomfort with the shaping--but I did not notice until after the fact. I trusted in Londyn's judgment and expertise due to the fact that I've went to the other nail tech in her studio plenty of times with no issue. Lastly, her shaping did not result in injury, damage, or broken skin, but it has resulted in me having to spend more money to fix it. Overall, Londyn's reply shows a lack of accountability and empathy, and I implore her to do more research. Final: After being a longtime client of Talia's, my single experience with Londyn has resulted in a permanent ban from not only her services, but Talia's as well. This is unfortunate and I will miss being serviced by Talia. I am disappointed that the situation escalated to this. I never wanted to bash Londyn on a personal or even technical level because I am not a nail tech; I made this clear in my initial review. I simply voiced a concern that I believed others may have wanted to hear. I will always recommend Talia to anybody who would like to attend this studio
