We live in Frankfurt Illinois, but we had to go to Morris and be there at six to recital with my grandson Adam in it so my wife and I decided to do the drive first and go to eat there in Morris. I found this place on yelp called Tully monster pub and Grill. We showed up there a nice waitress name. Tony took care of us Gave us water to drink and then we ordered. I asked for a custom-made wrap which they did for me with black and turkey. Let us tomato grilled onions and barbecue sauce. She said it came with the side. I don't think that wrap goes with the salad so I didn't take the salad, I didn't like the kind of soup they had so I got the french fries and crisp for me. Super friendly, and the burgers may be the best I've had!! We went in for a late lunch on Thursday, I had the rodeo burger, and my boyfriend had the spicy avocado burger. Both our burgers had delicious, crispy, flavorful bacon on them. He had the coleslaw on the side, and he said it was really good! I had the fries. We both ordered our burgers medium, and they arrived as ordered! So juicy and good! We'll def go back! The only thing I would change is have real silverware. Our first time in, the food was great. My husband got the Cuban and I got the Avocado Chicken Wrap. The Cuban was hands down the best. We got the beer battered fries and then the garlic parmesan fries as well - both so good. The garlic parmesan fries weren't greasy/oily either. The fry portion wasn't huge, I would have liked more but didn't need more. The bathrooms are a little tight, and not the cleanest. Overall, this was a perfect lunch spot! Service wasn't the fastest, but the food was worth the wait. There was only one server/bar tender, and looked like two staff in the kitchen. All very friendly as well! We spent this year's holiday family fun day in Morris and ended up at Tully Monster Pub & Grill for lunch. We'd been warned by a local store worker about the restaurant's slow wait time. But she also told us the food quality was good. Both of these things were true. Tully Monster offers a cozy bar atmosphere with menu items aplenty. We all ordered drinks but it took a while to get them. The waitress explained they were short-staffed which appeared to be credible. Still, it's a rare situation in which your server doesn't allow you to place a drink and food order at the same time. We had to wait and say what we wanted in separate exchanges. I picked the Fossil Named Tully burger for my meal. Thankfully, it didn't feel like the kitchen staff were taking their time and digging up fossils to prep any of our orders. The burger and fries were quite tasty. We weren't on a strict schedule but if you are, you'll want to avoid this establishment (at least until it's fully staffed). Our experience at Tully Monster Bar & Grill didn't always go swimmingly but we enjoyed it overall. read more

Our office decided to order lunch from here. We gave a phone order to whoever answered the phone and warned them that it was going to be a big order. As we rattled off all that we wanted...we added mini corn dogs to our order. We were told we could not order them, as they were a kids menu item. Now how in the heck does the person taking the phone order know whether or not that we weren't ordering for a kid? To take home for the child later or even if a kid was with us? It's not like we weren't paying the price that was asked. No, they assumed that the corn dogs were for one of the office staff trying to get away with not spending more money on a regular meal. Waited awhile for a menu that never came. Server kept telling us he would be right with us while passing our table several times on his way to the one other table. When he stopped to serve a shot and a beer to a guy at the bar who literally just walked in and the started playing with his phone, I was quite done. Just drop off a menu when you walk by. I will never come back to this restaurant, and will only pass on my terrible experience to everyone I know to not go here. my mother and I decided to come into tullys to get fish and chips the other day, we received bad fish and got food poisoning from it. we told the owner linda that our fish had a crispy crust, but inside was extremely mushy, slimy and had an odd smell. She took the fish back and we were watching her poke her naked fingers into the fish and came to us and said it was from the lemon. I didn't use lemon. She shook her shoulders and said the fish was new and not her problem. couple hours later me and my mother were sick in the bathroom for another 24 hours. We will never come back, Linda was extremely rude, disrespectful and will unfortunately end up having her business shut down. Especially since she walks her dog around In the restaurant and has it sit in the kitchen everyday. read more

I have been saying it for years: this place has the best burgers in town. I have been here a handful of times over the years, and every time I leave, I am saying the same thing. "Man, that was a great burger." It's cooked to perfection, big, juicy, and at least with the Rocky, seasoned oh so nicely. It may not be the most upscale bar in the area, but the service is always on top of things, they have a rather wide variety of on-tap selections (though limited in number; ~ 10 or so), and very solid prices on everything. They have curly fries and beer-battered fries, as well as a couple other sides. The beer-battered are great. Always fresh and crispy. Call it a dive bar, a towny bar, whatever you like. Any place that I can jump into for a quick beer and burger at lunch and walk away feeling this satisfied? Top marks in my book. read more

Downtown Morris is sleepy on the weekends, despite all the websites that make it out like a charming small town suited for tourists, there really isn't much to do. Also, it's plagued with tacky beer special posters on all the windows. Really takes the curb appeal down a notch. I get the sense this place can get rowdy at night. We stopped in at 2pm on a Saturday afternoon, looking for some lunch and a beer or two. There were two or three locals at the bar, and a single bar tender. Otherwise the place was empty. Despite this the service was very slow. Our bartender chatted up the locals and played on her phone before taking our drink order. The food took a very long time -- at least half an hour for a chicken sandwich and a salad, yet the place was completely empty! Despite the lousy service and unforgivably slow food, it was good. This is normal pub food, but little things seemed well done. The fries seemed hand cut and were beer battered. My sandwich was likewise well made. read more

I had the avocado wrap and the chicken was cooked perfectly, the fresh greens were delicious and crunchy, the chipotle sauce was perfection. Love this place. These are the best burgers around and that includes Duffy's. Been here any times. Maybe a little slow on wing night but it's worth it. Great wings. Decent selection of craft beers too. If you prefer Trumps Tower restaurant that's fine but the prices here are great. I drive quite a distance to come here. Fairly noisy pub and grill just outside downtown. Noisy, but that can be expected and not surprising. Very clean with a large selection of tap and bottled beers. I liked the craft beer description, especial giving the alcohol content. They seemed to have a good menu that would satisfy everyone. My wife had a Rueben with a large portion of corned beef, kraut, and swiss cheese on rye bread. She really liked it and said it had great flavor, not too tart. I wasn't very hungry and had grilled cheese and I had a choice of what type of cheese. I selected a grilled swiss cheese and came with bacon and tomato slice on the cheese. The sandwich could not have been cooked or toasted more perfectly. It was obvious that the French Fries were freshly made and were perfectly fried. So I need to say it was a really pleasant dinner and good service. read more

I drove from Chicago, I was in town for the Corn Fest and to visit , my Brother-in-law. The service was bad, there was only 6 people in the bar. the staff, a bar tender a cook and a serve seemed "overwhelmed" I ordered a burger and asked for "grilled and fresh onions" after the server made said "oh your going to be difficult" ( I will was an attempt at humor not just the rudest thing in the world) we wait 20 min at which she never cam back to check on us. when I got my burger PLAIN - from the cook, I side "I'm sorry I ordered this with grilled and fresh onions" the cook said "well I didn't know and walk away to fix it (fair not her fault). so I sat waiting. the server finally came over and ask how if I was wait - I told her what happened and she said "oh well they'll fix it" and walked away... no on "I'm sorry" then they brought the burger with only 8 sliver of grilled onions. I again asked here to bring more onions to which she replied "oh there on there" - way to dismiss the costumer. the burger was dry and boring. When we sat another 15 min with out being checked on I asked for the checkt that took another 10 min to fetch. My brother in law said its never been that bad. I will never go there again. Plus Thursdays they are .25 each- a great way to sample all the flavors. My favorite sandwich is the cheesy BBQ. A grilled chicken breast with BBQ sauce,Bacon and Cheddar cheese served with curly fries. It's always a winner. A friend swears they have the best Burger - just passing that opinion on.
