First time here. First review for here. I may return... Cannot recommend. Friday afternoon... at the bar. No one else sitting. Bartender covering all of the seating. Minimal interaction or attention to my lunch experience. The Good: 1. $4 Sumpin' Beer on draft 2. The restaurant seemed clean 3. Staff aplenty for attending to guests (see below) The Mediocre: 1. The Sagnaki Salad - tons of freshly chopped ice berg lettuce, very hard crusty "pita" and a waif of a cracker thin Saganaki supplement. Dressing on the side was tasty but would've been great "tossed" into the salad. 2. Commercial Fries - a side I needed to order because I was still starving after the salad and soup. 3. Service - a notch above inadequate. For a bar seating it's not even worth 18% tippage. The Bad - 1. The Loaded Baked Potato Soup was clearly from a bag. A nice amount of processed chunk potatoes, two minimal dollaps of ice cold sour cream and a light sprinkle of cheddar cheese. Worthy to give to my wife's dog.. who I don't like. 2. No Damn Napkins - no silverware with the reheated bag soup, no extra napkins with the side of fries. I had to grab napkins from the bartender's carousel. 6. No Recommendations - no suggestions from the bartender. Nothing. I upsold myself some KBC beer. On a related side: An obnoxious patron just had to sternly ask for a water refill and had to remind the bartender that she would like lemon with her water. My point made in spades. read more

Good food, nice pleasant atmosphere and my severer was OUTSTANDING! I was in town for business and was dining on my own. I wanted to sit at a table and my server was Jill. She greeted me with kindness, professionalism and warmth. She made some great suggestions and I was very happy with my choices. Firecracker cauliflower appetizer, wedge salad with fantastic blue cheese dressing and a meal-sized meatball dish with garlic toast was exactly what i needed. Never liked to review restaurants because every place can have a bad night but after NUMEROUS bad experiences at Metro Grill, we won't be returning. Metro used to be an upscale family-owned restaurant but now seems to have more of the loud sports bar vibe with obnoxious karaoke and buckets of beer. Since being sold by the previous Greek owners, the new owner/manager "Bobbie" is usually behind the bar drinking with customers, while the bar area is always too loud. Even when you request to sit at a booth on the opposite side of the restaurant, you can still hear them. The drinking and profanity of several different bartenders seems to be the new norm regardless of which evening you go there. What used to be a nice family place to enjoy a good meal is now one bar fight away from being the new Anthony's. read more

The other sandwich of chicken salad: the salad was good, however the bread was hard to eat and the coleslaw was not very good. Not sure if the quality of the food would have been better if we had dined in. We may try the food one more time but dine in instead of Grub Hub. A suggestion is to look into travel/take out boxes that would maintain heat and integrity of the meals during travel/delivery. read more

It was seasoned really well and hit the spot on a chilly day. For the Sandwich I ordered the blackened mahi sandwich, it was really good! It was served on ciabatta bread which is a great choice. The mahi was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. It was a little hotter spice wise than what I was expecting but still very good! Check this place out if you're in the area! read more

I stopped in after campaigning in the Timbers Edge neighborhood. The decor is very nice. The server was attentive. It was a little chilly, but otherwise a good location. My mom ordered the corned beef sandwich and ribbon chips. My sister and I opted for the pulled pork sandwich and fries. We also ordered the chicken noodle soup. The soup didn't have any flavor but it was edible. We liked the pulled pork but I can't say there was anything memorable about it. My mom thought the same thing about her food. We liked our food, but wouldn't necessarily return to Metro Grill. We all ordered Pepsi, but I'm pretty sure we were served generic Cola. It sure didn't take like Pepsi. We didn't complain though because it wasn't that bad. Our server was a pleasant young gentleman. He was affable and very attentive. My hubby had the Country style rigatoni pasta which had a good flavor and goat cheese complimented the pasta sauce nicely. Could of used a touch of fresh chopped basil on top. The ribbon chips were delicious, fresh thinly sliced and just the right about of crunch. I wouldn't order the breasted potatoes again, they needed a gravy or sauce.
