We went on a Saturday morning, very nice place. Service was fast and kind. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The chips are fantastic! We ordered the chips and guacamole which was a HUGE portion. Very delicious. I got 2 of the chicken tacos. Now the chicken was grilled and really really good. But there wasn't a lot of flavor in the taco itself. I didn't have salsa on it. It did have onion and cilantro but not enough for my taste. It also had a green sauce on it but really no flavor on it. I did not care for the tortilla at all. It was so thick and tasted like nothing, texture was sponge like. 3/5 maybe I just need to give it another try? Add some salsa, not sure. I really wanted to like it. My husband got a wet steak burrito with green sauce... Now that was delicious!!!! And I'm not a big wet burrito person but holy moly it was fantastic and it was a huge portion. Ended up being $40ish X2 chicken tacos Big wet burrito Order chips and guac. We will give this place another visit. Hope for more flavor next time!

ate here with my church friends and it was...okay. do not recommend the quesabirria tacos bc so salty and it was stale. not as stale as the nacho chips, though. the lengua tacos are usually my favorite, but the one at this place was not at all impressive. very little toppings on each taco, even with the other flavors that my table ordered. the real standout that saved the meal was the guacamole. it was too good. i would only come here for that order an that order alone. anyway, the service was good. they bring the food to u, but u got to order and pay upfront. that was a strange layout. they also have a bar on the opposite side of the restaurant, which I did not know connected to one another. there is a lot of seating whether you want the standard level ones or the high chairs by the bar counter. they prepare well with takeout boxes and bags, too, if you decide to take things home. servings here are pretty generous, so anticipate for that! I love the cute little twinkling lights and how there are other nearby restaurants in this mall area. the tables each have silverware utensils, but enough for only one person. Ask as needed.

I visited this place with a friend, my mom, and my toddler. The location is inside a building that houses various suites. You walk in, place your order, and then sit down. They give you a number, and you wait for your food to be served. Although we had to wait a while for our food and drinks, it felt like they might have been understaffed. However, the wait was worth it because the food was delicious, and the drinks were amazing. Super kid friendly!

Sis and I hung outwith a friend here and I've been reluctant to come here because they are always crowded and I hate crowds. It wasn't so bad though. You seat yourself and order a the counter. Great, because that means you can move the tables into diferent configurations as needed and nobody gave us grief about it. We tried the chips and guacamole and that was solid. I tried the pork belly taco and carne asada taco and it was pretty good. Even though we liked everything, it was also forgettable. Next time I'd like to try the patio tables because on a warm day, this place is hopping.

I went here for lunch with a couple of friends today. We were able to order immediately and found a table easily. It wasn't super busy but a lot of people came and went while we were eating. I got the quesabirria with a side of rice and one of my friends got the marionberry margarita. They also got the fish tacos and someone else got a burrito. Everything was so good! The food was delicious and had great flavor. The rice was a little mushy but that's expected when it's being kept in a constantly hot container. The quesabirra was also a bit greasy on the outside, I ended up wiping the outside of the tortillas with a napkin before I ate and that helped. It wasn't spicy at all and I enjoyed it a lot. My friends enjoyed their food and drink too. The restaurant was clean and wasn't too loud. It smelled good and the atmosphere was nice. There's a lot of parking outside and there is a bathroom down the hall. There's also both indoor and outdoor seating so you can take your pick. I would definitely go back here if I come back to Olympia!

Great mexican food with atmosphere and service to match. Fish taco and Carnitas Tacos were killer, great guacamole. The restaurant was very clean and had an upscale feel with a very reasonable price tag. If i was a local, i'd be a regular. All the food had tons of flavor and you can tell they are putting love into the dishes they serve. Great job!!

    Huge tequila selection!

Tumwater Tacos is the kind of spot you accidentally stumble into once... and then intentionally come back to over and over again. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by the delicious smell of sizzling meats and warm tortillas--and trust me, it only gets better from there. The tacos? Absolute flavor bombs. Perfectly seasoned, generously stuffed, and served hot. I tried the carne asada, al pastor, and fish tacos, and honestly couldn't pick a favorite--they were all that good. Their burritos are massive, packed with flavor, and ideal for those "I came hungry" moments. But what really sets this place apart? Their tequila selection is unmatched. We're talking a wall of options that'll make even the most seasoned tequila enthusiast pause in awe. Whether you're into smooth sippers or spicy cocktails, they've got you covered. Service is fast, friendly, and genuine. The vibe is chill but lively--perfect for a quick lunch, date night, or just catching up with friends over tacos and tequila. Tumwater Tacos is officially my new go-to. If you haven't been yet... what are you even doing?

I'm thrilled to share my thoughts on this Taco place! I initially connected it with the cider place in the same building, I'm glad to give it the spotlight it deserves. Located in the vibrant Tumwater Craft district on Capitol blvd, it's incredibly easy to find and parking is plenty. The ordering process is seamless - simply place your order at the counter, you're given a number, and choose a table. While the inside seating area is cozy, the outdoor space offers ample room to relax. The bar serves up delicious Margaritas and other favorites. Over my numerous visits, I've consistently experienced fast and friendly service. The food, while occasionally inconsistent, is often hot, fresh, and absolutely delightful. The exceptional customer service keeps me coming back, and it's wonderful to see familiar faces. Do I highly recommend this Taco place? Absolutely! The Picture is from I connected it with my first review and is my favorite meal I've had so far :D

We had really yummy vegetarian dishes! A wet burrito and a couple tacos (mushroom and pepper). Cool vibe in a nice building full of lovely local artists' works, wine and beer in neighboring venues in the building... plus yummy beer options at Tumwater Taco and a full bar! We'll be back!

Unfortunately the burrito was bland. The food isn't cheap but it felt like I could make better at home.

Not great. Let me start off by saying that Plaza Jalisco has always been my go to for Mexican food…read morein the area. There are A LOT of Mexican places to choose from and this USED to be my first choice every time. I have been going here for years but over the last year, every time I go, I tell myself it will be the last. After today, it is truly the last time. 1 - The server, an older lady with black hair, is always grumpy and acts like you are bothering her by asking for basic things like napkins, silverware, etc. She is unfriendly no matter how nice you are. Her name starts with an S but I'm not trying to put her on blast publicly. 2.) The prices are ridiculous. I know everything has gone up but 19.00 for a bowl of tortilla soup? 22.99 for a lunch sized portion of Polla ala Crema? I paid 29.22 today for polla ala crema and a soda that was never refilled. There was 3 ounces, at best, of chicken on the plate. 3.) Refills are practically non existent now. My cup sat empty for most of my meal and the server never came back to check on us so I never received a refill.paying 3.50 for one glass of soda is ridiculous. 4.) We ran out of salsa but there was no offer for more, like most mexican restaurants offer. 5.) The restaurant is always cold, not sure if they are trying to save on electricty but it is noticeably cold in there. The polla ala crema is very good and it is what has had me coming back but I just can't fathom spending almost 30.00 (without the tip) for lunch for one person for such small portions and terrible service. It was a good run, Plaza. I do wish you well, but judging by the empty parking lot every time I have been there in the past year, I am guessing things aren't great. It might be the prices. Or the service. Either way, best of luck.

When I lived in lakewood, there was this divey Mexican place that I liked to go to when I was sad…read more Lol It was the best comfort food. Not GOOD, "traditional" Mexican, but like cheesy, 'Merican Mexican food. This place has that. The staff aren't very friendly, but the drinks are strong and the food is comforting! Parking lot is kinda weird, but it's spacious inside.
