Buffalo scallops the best in the sea coast it may be the only restaurant I have ever seen them on a menu the service is unbelievable

Spent the day at the beach and came here on a friend's recommendation. We were not disappointed. We sat at the bar and had food and drinks. All were great. Service was friendly, attentive, and quick. We had a good time here on a weekday, the weather was great and we didn't have to wait long to be seated and had a great view of the water. Service was fast and helpful with the daily specials. The food was OK, the clams were a bit tough/rubbery but there were plenty. My wife liked the onion rings but to me they were a bit too small/thin. I absolutely love this place The food is absolutely AMAZING. I can't find one bad thing on the menu. The seafood is top notch and the drinks are well poured. This was my 3rd time here and whenever we are in the North East I have to go. This time I had the stuffed haddock with shrimp and scallops and it just melted in my mouth. My husband had his go to blue cheese muscles for a starter and the fra diavolo for the main course. Oh and did i mention that my buffalo scallops i had as my starter had everyone wanting to try one. We were eating with family and if you are stuck on fried food then go with the captains plater or good old lobster roll. No matter what you get it will be well worth it. You will spend some money but it is worth every penny. Don't try and go between October and March as they are closed during those months. So as soon. We chowed down so quickly that we couldn't get pictures of all the food. Post ragnar we celebrated with another seafood meal. We all got delicious beer and lobster bisque, tuna wontons, steamed clams, clam chowder, twin lobsters, two lobster blts, corn, potatoes, coleslaw, vegetables, sweet potatoes, a seafood platter and more. We stopped for dinner after a nice walk by the ocean. Great table by the water with a beautiful view of the boats. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. This is my second time here and I think the time of day makes a huge difference! We chose to sit at the bar but there were plenty of tables at 1630. The bartender, Stacey, was amazing! Personable and her drinks were on point! We did the tuna wontons (again bc they are so amazing) with extra wasabi aioli this time, the blue cheese mussels that I could have just had a soup of the broth they made. It was creamy and smooth with the best blue cheese I think I've had. They weren't fishy and the crostini with them I just let soak in that heavenly goodness. Drink wise, we tried the pink haze that had mezcal tequila. I usually hate mezcal because it's so overpowering but this was a perfect blend. We tried 'caught in a jam' that's made with homemade jam and is amazing. (A guy next to me asked what I got, I described it, he ended up ordering 2 of these) and then we tried the "fisherman's sweet revenge" and it was kind of like a Moscow mule with bourbon that I absolutely loved! It says it has cayenne in it but please never take my "it's not spicy" if you don't like any spice serious. I felt no spice at all in this drink but if you're sensitive to spice you might. Consistently excellent food, service, experience. Found this place on Yelp last year and it's now my husband's favorite.

Let me first start by saying this is one of the best seafood places in the area. My family and I used to dine here frequently with our toddler and have been coming since he was a newborn and years prior. Such great memories at this place. You can always expect great staff and fantastic food and a great atmosphere. However, on our recent visit we were surprised by the GOUGING new prices listed on the menu. I am not talking about 5-10-dollar difference on some items... most of the items on the menu have skyrocketed to over 50% of what they were previously a month ago. Mussels are now 36 dollars!? I was blown away when I saw this as it's over a 50% price increase...what is in them some sort of gold? Baked haddock went from $28 to now $42... steak tips $44... I am lost. The portions weren't any bigger... you would think with these new prices you would leave with a souvenir. I always support local and understand pricing is expected to rise depending on demand / market pricing, but this is just ridiculous...a piece of HADDOCK for 42 bucks? What? Total bummer. read more

A party of 6 of us went there this past weekend. (Memorial Day weekend) First off, we tried all day to call and no one ever picked up. We did know they do not take reservations, but just thought we could get an idea how long of wait there was. When we did arrive, we were told the wait would be about an hour or so. We waited patiently outside till it got a little chilly. Honestly though, this is a summer, warm weather joint and there is no room to wait inside. We were offered a high top table after about 45 minutes, but we are not young and one of the group is handicapped, so we declined. All along the hostess was very snippy with us and not pleasant at all. They refused to put 2 tables together even though by that time new customers had slowed down quite a bit. After another 30 minutes of waiting outside we left. Yes, we were cold, hungry and aggravated. They make no accommodations for more than a party of 5. Can't call ahead, or make a reservation. What a great seafood find in the Hampton Beach area. We hit up the Tuna Striker Pub for lunch when we arrived in town. It's located just across a bridge in Seabrook. Parking was found right at the Pub/Dock and across the street there is a large parking lot. You can sit indoors or at the bar, but sit outside under the covered porch to enjoy the beautiful view of the Blackwater River, fisherman on the docks and boats moving about in the water. The server we had was so nice, quick with her service, great with our kids and as busy as they were our food came out very fast. The menu has a great mix of land & sea options, fresh local baked/fried seafood, apps, soups, salads and sandwiches. They had a few NH craft brews on tap. My wife and I ordered the lobster bisque and NE clam chowder to sample together. They weren't exceptional, but both on the medium bodied/creamier side and good. The server recommended the Fried Haddock Sandwich $23 - bibb lettuce, tomato, onion, brioche bun and coleslaw. I gotta say it was such a delicious piece of Haddock. Buttery, lightly breaded, fresh and juicy. I had haddock at other places and I can honestly say they didn't come anywhere close to the one I had at Tuna Striker Pub. Everyone enjoyed their menu choices and we walked down the deck to the docks afterwards to congratulate a local fisherman on a fine catch! Many times when you have a restaurant with a view the price and the food are not great. You have overpriced food that is ok. My expectations were exceeded. The chowder was excellent and the seafood platter was good. The only issue with the seafood platter was the shrimp and scallops... 3 scallops and 4 shrimp - that was slightly disappointing. But they were cooked well and the flavor was spot on. Everything was fresh. The wait is LONG so be prepared. When the son goes down it does get buggy. read more

Warning : This restaurant has deceptive pricing Bleu Cheese Mussels were delicious. The mussel quality was better than what I had in PEI!! Haddock was fresh. I asked for it blackened but there was no black pepper that I could detect. It was still good. The fra diavoli was OK, they are generous with the portion and the variety of seafood, it's big enough for two. The recipe was just ok, I've had this dish many times and theirs is good, not great. They have outdoor seating but dogs not allowed It's very expensive!!! Lobster roll is over $40 the Lobster BLT is almost 50. Lobster isn't that expensive! I was quite surprised to see the bill. Fra Diavolo was advertised as $26 on their online menu, $25 on the Yelp menu, but we were charged $35. The haddock sandwich was $14 on the menu but we were charged $23. I want to start off by saying a couple of the reviews on here indicate that this place falsely advertises prices. That's untrue. The price is determined by market price, which this establishment is very upfront about. We had to wait a few minutes to get a seat because we came at a busy time. However, we enjoyed walking around outside. The staff were so friendly. Even bringing our daughter a coloring book. I LOVED the fish and chips. We were looking for Eastman's Dockside Dining and landed up at Tuna Striker Pub (seems to be the same spot on the map and they share the same parking lot). Put our names down for a 45-50 minute wait. They have a great waiting area facing the water and you can order a drink as you take in the sights and also stoke your appetite for seafood. They'll send you a text once your table is ready so you can also wait in your car or explore the dock area. We had the two non-alcoholic drinks (a blueberry ricky and a lemonade), a bit forgettable, heavy on the sugar. Important note on the menu: They make sure to tell you upfront on a separate piece of paper what the MP or market prices for some of the seafood items are, like the lobster roll or the fried platters. I appreciate the honesty - it's why I upped this review to 5 stars. Many places just put down MP and leave you to guess what the price is until you get the check. We went with two cups of chowder, the seasonal salad topped with shrimp, and the stuffed haddock, which, for $72, was plenty of food and the portions were generous. The chowder was delicious, the thiccc kind (sorry, I had to, but I've now eaten enough versions to know I'm not a fan of the thin, watery kind), with lots of clam bits and potatoes. We also got to try some of the lobster bisque in the form of the drizzle over the haddock - the bisque is tasty but pales compared to the chowder. I loved the salad, with in-season peach slices, cheese, almonds, radish. My one complaint is the salad dressing was too copious, though if you like your salads on the wetter side, this one's for you. One salad would be a great appetizer for two. The waitress recommended the stuffed haddock as one of her favorites. Fish was cooked unbelievably tender. A little on the heavy side, again perfectly split between two hungry adults. Unfussy, no-frills place, lots of children. Our waitress, despite the lunch rush, was kind and patient. Walked past the kitchen on my way to the bathroom - all the counters and food stations were immaculate. There are two parking lots to accommodate both the diners and the people doing the dock fishing tours - a smaller one in front of the restaurant and a much larger one to the left as you pull in. read more

Just a quick update on our most recent visit. Food and service just as good and friendly as on our last visit. I also noticed that there is an ample parking lot across the way, and so even if the lot in front is full, there should be plenty of parking across the way. On this visit we had to try the famous "garlic bread", which everybody seemed to be ordering on the last visit. It was indeed delicious, but I think better suited for a big red sauce meal. Nonetheless, we enjoyed it. Also tried their seafood with green curry, which was a tasty and beautiful dish. I noticed a spring of Italian basil, and I think the dish would have been better with Thai Basil, perhaps they could not get it. People seem to know about this spot as all the outdoor seats are filled within 10 minutes of opening. Give it a try. read more

I was told this is the best place for fresh seafood so had it on the list to try during my visit north. I started with the clam chowder which was very tasty, but it was lacking the good stuff meaning potatoes and clams. I then shared a fried clam plate and glad I shared as the portions are way more then necessary unless you are a big eater!! The clams were just ok. The oil was possibly old which made it the star of the show unfortunately. My dad got the lobster pie and he said it was ok but sort of bland. We'd been looking forward to trying Tuna Striker for some time. We went on a rainy Saturday night. The wait was around a half hour, but we enjoyed looking out at the boats while we waited. The atmosphere is basically an outdoor deck enclosed with plastic. The view is nice, of the pier and boats, but not spectacular. The dining area is very very noisy. The service was great and the food was wonderful. I started with a delicious bowl of seafood chowder, followed by pan roasted halibut. My wife had a huge salad followed by sirloin tips, and we each had one beer. Each entree came with sides and were top notch. I found the pricing outrageous. $116 before tip. I'm not sure what niche this restaurant is striving for. It's not a place for a quiet romantic gourmet special occasion dinner, but it's priced like it. It's much closer to a pub for weekend night beers and dinner, but way overpriced for that. I don't love or hate this place, but I don't know why I'd go back. read more

A beautiful waterfront location overlooking Hampton and the nuclear reactor, the waitstaff and bartenders at the Tuna Striker are second to none! The cocktails are great and they have a good NA program for drivers, kids and those chowing to be a little healthier. Food wise, start with the steamers and garlic bread, delish! Entrees are a great mix of broiled or fired seafood and lobster. A note, expect to pay beachfront prices, but the qtr very clear on the day's MP compared to most of the restaurants in Hampton or Seabrook. The lobster roll bread was nicely toasted on the outside. Mayo was a little lacking but the lobster was plentiful and flaky, tasty. For the price, not planning on a follow up.
