We'd been looking forward to trying Tuna Striker for some time. We went on a rainy Saturday night. The wait was around a half hour, but we enjoyed looking out at the boats while we waited. The atmosphere is basically an outdoor deck enclosed with plastic. The view is nice, of the pier and boats, but not spectacular. The dining area is very very noisy. The service was great and the food was wonderful. I started with a delicious bowl of seafood chowder, followed by pan roasted halibut. My wife had a huge salad followed by sirloin tips, and we each had one beer. Each entree came with sides and were top notch. I found the pricing outrageous. $116 before tip. I'm not sure what niche this restaurant is striving for. It's not a place for a quiet romantic gourmet special occasion dinner, but it's priced like it. A beautiful waterfront location overlooking Hampton and the nuclear reactor, the waitstaff and bartenders at the Tuna Striker are second to none! The cocktails are great and they have a good NA program for drivers, kids and those chowing to be a little healthier. Food wise, start with the steamers and garlic bread, delish! Entrees are a great mix of broiled or fired seafood and lobster. A note, expect to pay beachfront prices, but the qtr very clear on the day's MP compared to most of the restaurants in Hampton or Seabrook. Had the lobster bisque and lobster roll. The bisque had too much celery for my taste and lacked chunks of lobster, which is my preferred style. The lobster roll bread was nicely toasted on the outside. Mayo was a little lacking but the lobster was plentiful and flaky, tasty. For the price, not planning on a follow up. We were looking for something new to try and landed in Seabrook at this great Pub! The view was amazing and food was all very good and well seasoned! The blue cheese mussels were amazing!!! This spot is such a nice hidden gem! Beautiful view, waterside seating, great service, great food, and a fun pub atmosphere. We've been a few times now...twice for lunch and once for dinner. Everything has been incredible! The haddock sandwich is a great lunch choice that is a huge tasty piece of fish on a brioche bun. For dinner I highly recommend the Seafood Alfredo! It's LOADED with seafood. Huge shrimp, scallops, and nice amounts of lobster. The sauce is incredible! There's a great cocktail and beer selection here. TVs to catch whatever game might be on. We had a long wait for a table but there was a cocktail waitress delivering drinks to the outdoor waiting area with plenty of seating and a nice view of the harbor. Which totally helps the wait go by much faster! The only downside I could possibly find is that there are lots of the tiny black bugs that like to bite so put on a little insect repellent and you'll be good! read more

I live less than a mile from the tuna striker and have known the owner and her family for many years. We went there a few days ago, my son asked if he could get a lobster roll. I didn't think twice about it and said yes. Then went to pay the bill and a small lobster roll with fries was $47 dollars I have been going to the striker since I was in college. It used to be a dump. Now the food is great. But when I saw a small lobster roll at $47 dollars, it made me not want to return. Lobsters are wholesale at $4.99 a pound currently from the Coop less than 500 yards from the restaurant and local lobsterman are struggling. For Merrilee to charge $47 per small lobster roll is not right. I hope locals realize her price gouging and stop supporting her restaurant read more

Our server Chantal was the best. Friendly, and on top of everything. - Really fun ambience. - Unique, delicious drinks - And now the food. Before we even sat I was excited, as all the food being walked past us looked great. For Apps - the best steamers ever. Steamed with garlic, and served with hot butter with garlic. Tuna Wontons - Crispy flat wonton topped with a slice of seared tuna, wasabi cream, and sweet soy sauce. Thin, crispy onion rings, perfectly seasoned. (No pics, ate it too fast!) - Second course - Hubby had a creamy seafood Alfredo with lobster, scallops and shrimp. I had grilled salmon, cooked to perfection - crispy on the outside,, perfect inside, not dry as I have seen in other places. It was topped with an olive tapenade, a unique presentation. Back for another visit before closing for the season.... Or so we thought. Due to several reasons - upgrades they are planning to stay open through the rest of the month. That was great news! We started out being a party of 10 with 2 tables because they will not put any tables together With cancellations we became a party of 4 that ended up being a party of 6. A few of us came earlier than the actual time we were all supposed to dine and sat at the bar. Service at the bar was swift and friendly. Drinks were nothing special but ok. The restaurant sent the text that one table was ready WAY before the time they'd estimated. Table #2 nowhere in sight. So anyway 3 of us moved from the bar to the announced table. A few more arrived and the rest of our group ended not coming ... So now we ended up as 6. I gave up the other table - easily done because they had people waiting 1 hour The same as us. The server wasn't pleased and made it known . She actually told me and one other to go and sit back at the bar! After that remark now I wasn't pleased ....not at all. Am I wrong that it's logical if you have a table of 6 vs. 4 you may need to serve/ do the legwork for 2 extra people - but you will have 2 extra gratuities? Ok, I didn't think so... Every other diner at our table ordered some type of seafood with yours truly a salad. With all the years I've been going to this place the salad portion of the menu had changed. Gone was my usual grilled Cesar.. replaced with a Striker salad consisting of several types of greens - puked high topped with grilled asparagus & I believe goat cheese. Anyway it was super delicious. I ordered a side of garlic bread. It ended up being a basic supermarket small round loaf you'd buy to use as a bread bowl - but dried out with salty garlic oil brushed on top... I'll definitely pass on ordering that again. Everyone at the table seemed to like the seafood they'd ordered. So that was good. And in time our server warmed up I believe between the 6 of us we left her more than than 20%. While there clouds rolled in - no rain but it got quite cold. Definitely a Fall evening. With their new roof and retractable sides the heaters seemed to work well. Wanted to sit in the sun on the deck. One of my friends showed up and the hostess still would not seat us. Was waiting for two more girls. All the tables sit four, so I don't see how/why it mattered that not everyone in the party was present. Friends showed up about 10 minutes later, and all the seats were taken on the deck in the sun. My fiancé and I stopped by Tuna Striker Pub for lunch. The place has nice ambiance and the service was nice. We ordered: .- Tuna Wontons: The tuna was fresh and tasty. However, in order to really taste the tuna I had to remove the excessive aioli since it overpowered it and that was the only thing you could taste. The wontons were, in my opinion, over-fried so they only tasted like oil. .- Cod Cheeks: Based on the description, we didn't expect the cod to be fried, but it was good. The tomatillos, chiles and scallions provided some freshness to the fried cod that made the plate balanced. In my opinion, the plate was under seasoned; which made the plate one tone... .- Grilled Atlantic Swordfish: The swordfish was excellent. Super fresh and perfectly cooked. Not that much to say. It was simply delicious. Unfortunately the coleslaw was tasteless, and the fries were overly oily and salted. .- 1 lb Lobster: The lobster was also very tasty and fresh. The fries that came with it were extremely salted so we couldn't really eat them. I would rate the place with 3 stars if it was not for the bill. We went there on a Thursday afternoon around 1 PM. It was extremely crowded. We had about a 15 minute wait which wasn't bad at all .For the appetizer we got the hand batted onion rings, which were excellent. The entrée I got was the baked lobster pie. I had specifically asked for it to be served with little breadcrumbs, little butter, when it arrived, it was saturated with butter and breadcrumbs. It looked like the lobster was floating in it. The server explained that they may have grabbed the wrong lobster and she would be right back with mine. My partner got chicken piccata, which was nasty. They had added garlic powder instead of actually sauté the oil with fresh garlic. The chicken was very tough and nervy, he did not finish it after 15 minutes my 2nd lobster pie finally arrived. It was still saturated with butter and breadcrumbs. At this point I made the best of it and transferred the lobster into a plate by itself, leaving the butter and breadcrumbs on the bottom of the casserole dish neither one of us really enjoyed the meal. the server was very nice. They did take $25 off the lobster pie which is half the price. It was. The ambience was lovely. It was an ocean view by the window. I probably will not be back for a second visit. read more

Everybody raves about this place, but I don't get it. The service and ambience are great for sure. The food, however, is so-so. I had a lobster roll today and, although it had plenty of lobster, it was disappointing (especially for $40+). It was luke-warm instead of cold and it really didn't have any flavor. The people I was with seemed to enjoy their fried seafood, although it looked a bit greasy to me. The onion rings were outstanding. Maybe I'll give it another try. read more

I cannot have dairy and am pescatarian so my options are a little limited, but the staff is helpful in knowing what has dairy and specifying to the kitchen about allergies. It's very appreciated. My friend Gary and I were there on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and had to wait 20 minutes for a table. We were able to visit with the ever gracious manager Merrilee and enjoy some tasty cocktails.
