The transformation. I've been growing my hair since late 2019 and decided it was time for a change. I went to Tune up based on a recommendation from a friend and let me tell you, did they transform me! I had no idea what to do with my hair so I just walked in, grabbed a beer and gave Diamond creative license and let her do her thing. She gave me some ideas and we finally decided to keep some of the length. Now I can drive my hotrod and not be blinded by my hair or have a giant hair knot! This location is now closed. Even though after the fact over a month later, I received a text that they would like to welcome me back and continue with my monthly services. I found this shady and I'm glad that I canceled my services prior to them closing so that my card did not get charged without services rendered. From a 5 star to 0 star. I have really liked the environment when I first got my services done. I have taken a membership as well. From then on whenever I try to schedule my services they say they cannot get everything done. They want me to come in multiple times in the same week go get it done. I was fed up with it. I booked my services for Oct 24th finally, when I get in there the girl at the desk says the Natalie the stylist is not here and it would be 15 minutes. After a few minutes she walks up to me and says it would be an hour before the stylist can show up. We've been coming to this location for about 6 months on a weekly basis and absolutely love our stylists Jay and Demi! They always do an excellent job. Katy and Cass are always very welcoming and they make sure you're being well taken care of. The salon offers the services that you'd find at any other barber shop, but what really makes this place stand out are the employees, the ambiance and the open bar! The alcohol is free to all clients and their guests. Based on reviews, it seems that a lot of people don't understand the system they have in place for this establishment. As far as I understand.. you have to pay to be a member and make an appointment to be able to be seen promptly. They do take walk ins, but walk ins are not priority guests. I know, this sucks... BUT, if you decide that the investment is worth it for you, then it is totally worth becoming a vip member as you're granted a lot of perks just for being a vip member. The prices seem a little high but when you calculate a weekly cut, shave, wax or any bundle of services that you receive total during a month, then it definitely pays off. My husband gave this place a shot for a few months. After having a cut from a female there that took a while he came back again. He waited for 2 hours while other walk ins were going ahead of him. He started to notice that the woman who had cut his hair was whispering to the receptionist as she looked at him and she continued to take other clients. He was really bummed because they had a normal experience before. He finally ended up having another guy that did a pretty good job but the amount of time he waited for a 20 minute cut felt excessive as well as not feeling welcomed by the female stylist. Clearly I am biased but he is so kind to everyone, tips we'll and has a pretty simple cut so we struggle to know why she was purposefully not taking him. I hate giving hard reviews but this was pretty sad. read more
