Turabi custom-trimmed silk & wool rug
    Kate B.

Updated review Wow! Almost 10 years later, I have more good news to share about the wonderful experience of purchasing rugs from Turabi. We were recently updating our home and headed in a little bit more of a transitional/modern style vs. traditional. Turabi has a HUGE selection of contemporary rugs, and they even have the ability to assist in custom design and order if their vast floor selection doesn't have the perfect rug. They still have many traditional and antique rugs as well, and they have a great eye for bringing in current and classic colors. Once again I spent hours in the beautiful store in Pioneer Square while they painstakingly pulled out rugs, explained the country of origin and materials and processes used. They were also honest with me about durability and helped me understand maintenance and upkeep, which was important to me with kids and dogs. I was also encouraged to step on/walk on/ stand on the rugs barefoot to feel which were softer because we are a no-shoe house. Once we got it narrowed down, they brought a few to the house to see it in our space. We narrowed down further with their great counsel and then I was able to live with a couple of rugs in my space for a few days to see how it changed with the light, how it felt etc. The rug we loved the most was going to be too large and cover our fireplace hearth. But Turabi's team had no problem taking exact measurements, cutting a notch around the hearth, and putting a new edge on the rug. You would never know. It is stunning and we get compliments every time someone walks into our front door. Their exceptional service and high quality will always make me a repeat customer. I look forward to working with them again. 5.0 star rating 6/9/2010 Previous review: I would never go anywhere else for a fine carpet. Their level of service and patience is impeccable. They came to my house, looked at the room I wanted the rug for and came back with loads of choices. Do you know how heavy rugs are to haul around? We did this multiple times and they never once showed any signs of impatience or frustration with the hard time I had making a decision. I have 2 kids and a dog, and they let me 'test drive' several rugs at a time so I could see them in different light and live with them in order to help me make my decision. They brought rugs in from both their Phinney and Pioneer Square locations. I loved working with them and my family enjoyed them too. My daughter who was 3 at the time affectionately named Turabi "Robby" and would ask if he was coming over to see her each night. After our transaction was complete, I was assured that I could trade the rug out if we moved or changed paint colors. I would not hesitate to work with them again - they are trustworthy, knowledgeable and dedicated to truly magnificent rugs that are heirloom quality but still attainable.

When I arrived later that day, Ernesto greeted me at the store and spent the next 2+ hours patiently answering all of my questions, showing me various sofa options throughout the showroom and clearly explaining how the delivery process works. I wound up ordering the Briar sleeper sofa in royale peacock velvet and it delivered a few weeks later, a bit earlier than expected, which was awesome. The color is gorgeous, the texture is so luxurious, and it's durable enough to handle my kids and dog. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this couch and truly wouldn't change a thing. Also Juan with the delivery service went absolutely above and beyond getting this incredibly heavy piece of furniture moved into my apartment via stairs. No small feat, he was amazing and so friendly and positive. Soooo happy with my sofa (and matching ottoman), the Seattle showroom experience with Ernesto and the other lovely, friendly staff I encountered there, and the quality delivery experience. LOVE!

David immediately approached us for assistance and showed us the different set-up options, fabric choices, and other furniture I inquired about after seeing them online. Before leaving to visit another store for options, he offered to email me a quote reflecting the current promo. I was impressed with the furniture quality, options, and genuine service provided by David. We ended up purchasing the Holt Grand Sectional and Briar Leather Chair and just received them. They're perfect for our house!

This review is for their new interiors shop only!…read more I stopped in during their opening weekend for the new shop/space on 15th. It's a big space, feels spacious inside and so well decorated. They have a studio space upstairs and a display room + shop downstairs. They have a smaller selection, but great to see options that are from a local small business vs. a big box store. Price ranges are anywhere from $500+ for small furniture pieces and up. Home decor and accessories like candles, frames and art are reasonable, boutique pricing as expected. Love that they have a parking lot as well. I'll definitely keep them in mind for when I'm ready to do some true interior designing.

It's a beautifully-decorated shop, and the customer service lady (I didn't get her name) was super friendly and very welcoming to my husband and I. We didn't need any interior design services at this time, but we had an uplifting browse, and we bought a couple of nice-smelling candles, along with a wick-trimmer. Stopping in to this lovely little shop made our day better. I see here on the yelp page for this business that this business was established in 2014, however, when I asked the customer service lady when they'd opened, she told me that they'd opened in February of this year! I thought that was gutsy because I hadn't known this business existed before today, so I got the mistaken impression that the business was brand new. Perhaps she meant that this particular location opened in February 2021. In any case, I wish them all the luck, and I thank them for bringing a cheerful and uplifting experience to my day today! I would definitely go back if I was in the area.
