I recently had my 2013 Infinity FX37 tuned at Turbo Labs. Everything was stock except two panel K&N filters. They didn't try to up sell me on a cold air intake, or cat back exhaust, or anything else- they told me this was the best setup for a tune, unless I really wanted to spend some money and go pressurized with a turbo or supercharger. Anyway, the tune was totally worth it!! Not only does the motor run smoother, run through the gears more quickly, rev easier- just an improvement all around. I've also gained consistently 1.2 mpg's. I would totally do this on a G37 or M37, or, I'm assuming the tune on models with the V8 would be awesome too- (M45/FX45/50). I've had two other cars worked on at Turbo Labs- a 2009 V6 Honda Accord Coupe, and a 2013 VW GTI. On the Honda, I had coil overs, a performance exhaust manifold, and a short shifter installed. 100% happy with the work and results. On the VW, I had front and rear sway bars put on, and a custom oil catch can fabricated and installed. Also 100% happy with everything. These guys are the kind of mechanics that can tear down, and build up a car piece to piece. They build custom parts, rebuild parts- custom turbos, superchargers- you name it. Basically some of the most highly skilled mechanics out there in my opinion. Not just doing the same maintenance kind of stuff day to day. Whenever I have a new car I want tuned, or looked over by an expert- I call Joe, and get my car in. He and his mechanics always exceed my expectations. read more

Took my Acura in for tune they made my motor run smooth and safe but only 1st and second redline 3rd 4th 5th 6th goes to 6000rpms then just cutsout was going to take it back to them their customer service isn't great either every time asked questions was treated like a idiot didn't know the tranny is a separate service on the tune that would have been nice to know then my tranny blew very poor communication I guess they got to busy to care about my car theirs plenty other tune shops now I'll be taking my business elsewhere read more

Talked down to to me and my friends when we came in to purchase a fitting. Literally had to argue that we will not pay full price for a used fitting we had to find in their shop. Best part, they deleted our original review. Now i get why they are the laughing stock in utah. read more

They kept my car for 3 weeks for less than 20 hours of work. Not good communication they kept making excuses, then did not do all I asked. They did a good job on my roll bar, but that was it, the rest was very so, so. Then they forgot a couple things but i just wanted my car out. When I got home I had to redo a couple things they did. Sorry, I was hoping for better but I cannot recommend them. From the first day and the quote, nothing was the same and cost more. I will find another place for my track car. This is the direct report I placed with the BBB. The turbo parts installed on vehicle failed which caused engine failure. Turbo Labs admitted it was their fault but wouldn't do warranty work. Purchased the turbo kit and installation with Turbo labs on 9/16/13. Installed with little issue at first, but shortly after kept getting misfires, informed Joe at Turbo Labs of the misfires, he told me that was normal and the engine needs to "learn" not to misfire with the turbo installed. That went on at least once a week for a month and a half of me bringing it in, him clearing the codes and telling me it is fine. He installed a boost controller on 10/29/13, and on 10/30/13 the stated safe limit per Joe was set to 8 PSI. Was driving it at full throttle and it was at 8 PSI, when all of the sudden it opened up to 25 PSI, I let off the gas and sent a text message to Joe immediately asking if this was normal, afterwards I opened my hood and noticed the boost controller hoses were not on the boost controller and I told him about it, his mechanic Justin admitted to forgetting to put zip ties on it to keep it secure. I brought it in the next day 11/1/13 as it was late in the evening on 10/31/13 told me the bolt threads on the turbo system got sheared off and he had to tap new threads in. It stayed there at Joe's shop until 11/4/13 on which I brought a friend with me, Brandon and we both watched joe Dyno my car during the dyno test I made mention that I smelled oil, joe quickly made the statement "no that was clutch" I asked him if he was sure and he responded yes. He took it off the dyno and I drove it home... I kept smelling a light amount of oil and on 11/5/13, the next day, I was really smelling it and opened my hood and saw oil vapor coming out of the blow off valve. I quickly called Joe to let him know I was smelling oil and saw it coming out of the blow off valve, Joe asked me to bring it in which I did. Then he told me that my compression was gone out of cylinder 1 and that I had too much boost on it which is the cause for the failure, I asked him if it hitting that 25 PSI would be the cause of the failure and he said "probably" I asked him if he would give me a discounted rate on labor or no labor and I pay for the parts, he refused to do anything to help me out which is unacceptable due to the fact that the reason the engine blew was because of his faulty parts. I was willing to work it out but Joe didn't want to work anything out at all. I asked him to give me a day at the full price that he was charging me for the engine rebuild and think about it, he agreed to that and a few hours later he texted me and told me he isn't interested in working on the car at all and to have some other shop work on it and gave me a day to relocate my vehicle. I asked him about warranties and he said he would not help me any further than what he is already helping me out on and that he doesn't even have to fix my car even though it was his shotty work that blew my engine. and now on 1/27/14 through text messages he has informed me he scammed me and still won't honor his warranties. Telling me he put cheap parts in my vehicle instead of the high quality parts that he promised. This guy is a piece of work. read more

I bought a used 2012 Ford F-150 Ecoboost from a local dealer and read about the simple mods that can be done to "boost" performance even further and looked for a local shop that could do these modifications. I decided to stop by Turbo Lab and talk to the guys to see what was possible. After talking about my options and the prices, they guided me towards a inexpensive and effective "most bang for the buck" choice with the ability to do more in the future as I see the need. I was VERY impressed with the massive increase in Torque and HP with only a new K&N Air intake and "chipping" the computer using a SCT Tuner. I lowered my car myself and ended up with a pretty bad rub. I called Joe and asked if he'd be willing to roll my fenders. He said he'd do it at a reduced work rate of $75/hour and about an hour per fender. I was great with that to be in an insured shop instead of some shmoe in his garage. It took Joe more that an hour to get the rear fenders done, but still only charged me at the original rate of an hour per fender. On top of that, he said he could Tune my car, but referred me to someone who would do a better job than him because he doesn't know Mazdas as well as the company he referred me to. That kind of honesty and help goes a long way in my book. Joe is awesome! read more
