I used Tree Care, Inc. for a large maple tree at my rental property in October 2024. At that time,…read moreI paid $1,590 total for the work. The scope included elevating the tree away from the house, reducing weight as needed, removing dangerous deadwood from the canopy, and lightly thinning the interior to allow wind through. About 21 months later, a large limb from the same tree broke during a storm. I contacted the company again and asked them to inspect the tree and determine what needed to be done. I was then sent Proposal #25453 for $2,650 for "trimming of limbs over the home back to fork." I did not accept the proposal because I felt the price was extremely high, especially considering I had already paid nearly $1,600 less than two years earlier for significant safety-related pruning on this same tree. After I didn't respond, they sent another proposal with the same proposal number and same basic scope of work, but the price had suddenly dropped to $2,120. That's a $530 difference without any explanation as to why the original price was $2,650 or why the price could suddenly be reduced. Before making any decision, I emailed them and asked some very reasonable questions: Why was this much additional work necessary less than two years after the previous pruning? How did this work differ from what they had already done? Did the recent storm reveal new structural problems? And why was the new work more expensive than the previous work when the description was actually less detailed? They never responded. That's ultimately what has left me most disappointed. I'm not opposed to paying for necessary tree work, and I understand that a major storm can cause a limb to fail even when a tree has previously been maintained. What I expected was an explanation from the company that performed the original work. Instead, I'm looking at roughly $3,700 in tree trimming over less than two years, and at that point I'm seriously questioning whether repeatedly spending $2,000+ every couple of years makes sense versus removing the tree altogether. I gave them an opportunity to explain the pricing and the recommended work before leaving this review, but they chose not to respond. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend them and will be getting other opinions before spending another dollar on this tree.

After researching lawn and landscape companies on the BBB site, we called Lawnpro and had them come…read moreout to quote on replacing our lawn with a newly seeded yard. They were prompt, courteous, and most importantly to us; promising that we'd have a stellar yard when they were done with it. That was in Sept of 2013. As of mid-April, they have delivered on their word. From killing all vegetation in September to now, the change is dramatic, the grass came in like they said it would, and they've been out twice this spring to reseed small patches and fill in where seed was either washed away by fall rain, or maybe eaten by birds. It's not even finished filling in, and we already have the best yard in the neighborhood. I can't say enough good things about them. They told us they were by no means the cheapest guys in town, but pride themselves on being the best. We only bid the job to 2 other companies recommended by the BBB, but neither was as prompt or detailed regarding the quote we asked to have prepared. This truly is a case where we're getting what we paid for; High quality and great customer service.

He said he would get me a quote, drawings, etc. about what we discussed. It's been two months now and I haven't heard anything from them. Very disappointed. After finally starting our project (not a huge one, approx $3k), they would not return calls or texts to come out and complete the job. In fairness to them, this has been a rainy summer. However, there is no excuse for not returning calls for weeks at a time. Also, they charged our debit card for the remaining balance (without authorization) weeks before completing the project. Our bank is investigating the matter and our attorney suggested we contact the state attorney general. Aside from the lack of professionalism and accountability, their landscaping is marginal at best. The mulch they used on our back yard was glorified dirt. We've since re-mulched everything ourselves. The shrubs they planted were much smaller than promised. And the tree trimming resembles what a hair cut from a blind barber would look like. If you're looking for average landscaping at a premium price, these are your guys!
