That's not normal settling or post-installation damage on my end -- that's material that should never have been under the turf in the first place. I did my part in reaching out and giving you the chance to come out and make it right. The follow-through and the level of expertise just weren't there. On the grass itself: you specialize in turf, and that's exactly why I relied on your recommendation. A cool-season variety on a south-facing lawn in the Santa Clarita heat was the wrong call from the start. That's precisely the kind of judgment call that should have come from your expertise -- not something I should have had to catch myself as a homeowner. And the grading, plainly, is still bad. It wasn't caused by me digging around to troubleshoot brown spots -- it was there before that, and digging to investigate a problem you hadn't resolved doesn't change that the base grading was off to begin with. I want to be fair here: you're a genuinely nice person, and I did tell you early on that I was satisfied and would consider recommending you to neighbors. That was true at the time. Because I had a poor experience with another turf company years ago, I did a ton of research on which product would be the most ideal for my needs, and this time I found Cocoturf and met it's proprietor, Olivier. I really couldn't have asked for a better experience from start to finish. I called as a cold lead just after finding the website, explained my needs, and Olivier came out to meet me, see the main project, brought a ton of samples, and made the perfect recommendation for my needs. He's a great guy, I felt that he cared about the product that he sold me, and he's extremely knowledgeable about all kinds of turf.
