Celtic Nature Landscaping greatly increased the "curb appeal" of our property and we strongly recommend them! Our 1965 property had numerous issues: the steps up from the sidewalk were irregular and uneven. They led to a walkway that was narrow and cracked. The front yard was crowded with many large and overgrown bushes. The driveway had large cracks in it. Additionally, the front yard was unfenced and we always wanted iron railings. We selected Celtic Nature from several others we saw on Yelp (all of whom seemed perfectly good) primarily due to the aesthetic elements in Helen's proposal. All the estimates we had were similar in cost. The job consisted of: demo and removal of old concrete and plants; framing and pouring new concrete; building a new border wall made of cinder blocks clad with stucco topped by iron railings; building an iron gate in this wall that would lead to concrete steps up to a wider walkway to the front porch; And finally the front yard would be landscaped with new plants and decorative stones. During demo we discovered that our water main went right under where we planned to put our new stairs and walkway. Helen's team solved this problem by altering the style of the gate from a single door to a double door and by changing the location of the first step. Our old driveway (for all its faults) did have a groove in it to direct rainwater from the side of the house down to the street. Helen's team was able to put a similar groove in our beautiful new driveway. Helen herself was hands-on the entire time, from demo to plantings, with artistic recommendations throughout the project. Juan handled the concreting and the construction of the wall under the iron railings, which all came out excellently. Justin did a very precise job on the gate, handrail and iron railings, coming out numerous times to make measurements as the project progressed. His ironwork came out excellently as well. The entire project came in on budget, with the exception of a few miscellaneous items that we added ourselves. We love Helen's artistic landscaping, the new driveway, gate and railings. The stairs now flow naturally, each step where it should be, and the handrail is just right. The beautiful new walkway is now one foot wider and feels luxurious by comparison. We have wanted to update our landscaping to drought resistant plants for over 5 years. Then we saw a home in our neighborhood that was exactly what we had been looking for, and the residents informed us of Helen and Celtic Nature Landscaping. Helen is the consummate professional, and she is involved in every phase of the landscaping process. Her creativity is off the charts. We sat down in our home with her and discussed what we like and what we did not like and she gave us some great ideas. We were in need of a landscaper/designer to help us with our very dry, very tired looking front and back yards. We both wanted certain design elements to be present but had different ideas on how to implement. This is a long overdue, but nonetheless well-deserved 5-star review for Helen and all her crew! They have been really wonderful people to work with. We started with a yard that had a bunch of problems....overrun with weeds, questionable watering system, some plants that were wildly overgrown and others that were withering, buried roots from dead trees that had been previously removed. We just explained our issues and gave Helen a few ideas we had. A week later she came back with a very reasonable quote and a basic sketch showing her proposed layout. She had some great ideas that I would never have thought of on my own, such as running bougainvillea up the awkward part of the garage that faces the street. We had to break the job up a bit due to a supplier issue with the special order rectangular pavers, but Helen really stayed on them relentlessly to make sure they delivered. On working days, I was blown away by how hard-working and productive the crew was. Modesto and Juan are really great guys. Although the planting was done during May, the heat of the summer took a bit of a toll and some of the plants didn't make it. Helen was happy to come by and replace those plants at no additional cost. We really appreciate the ongoing support. Our front yard gets so much positive attention from our neighbors...you really can't overstate how much it will do for your curb appeal! read more

Celtic Nature is fantastic! We decided to replace our front lawn and put new plants both in front of the house and by the sidewalk and street. We met with Helen who arrived socially distanced and masked. We let her know what we were thinking and within a week we had an estimate and a plan. Her team came out to kill off our existing lawn and trim the large tree we have in the front yard. After about three weeks (and the holidays) to properly allow the poison to kill off the yard, Helen and team were able to get the existing yard cleared of grass and plants, remove the old manual sprinkler system and replace it with a new automated drip system to help conserve water. While the new system was being installed, Helen was busy planting all of the plants we selected. A few days later (and earlier than expected), our new grass arrived and was installed within a few hours.
