This is located off Broad & Nelson, close to The Old Bag of Nails Pub and Franklin Park Conservatory. Inside, there is a good selection of convenience items and it is easy to swing in and pick things up. Service is typically friendly, but can be slow at times. Just be aware of your surroundings, especially in the parking lot. I have seen some characters around and some shenanigans go down but 95% of the time there have been no issues. Great spot for a fill up in the area, and they do have an ATM and Air Pump/Compressor if you are looking for those. They also have a car wash but use with caution, I believe it lightly scratched my car with around the sides of the windshield toward the top. It's all use at your own risk so I would suggest skipping that based on my experience. I would stick to gas and food here. read more

We stop here once in awhile for snacks, drinks, rarely gas. Today we were super thirsty, so swung in for a cold drink. Decent selection, not huge compared to some others, of non-alcoholic drinks. We grabbed a couple and only waited in line a few minutes. They opened another register since the line was getting longer. Lots of tempting snacks. Easy in and out (on Memorial Day.) The lights on the outside of the building have been out for days and it looks like it is closed...it should be. They were out of many basic items such as milk and cigarettes and just scary with limited lighting. Employees seem to change every week and I do not blame them for leaving. read more

This place always has long lines. It takes the cashiers forever to ring people up. On top of that they are unfriendly and barely say 2 words. It's only worth stopping if you are in the area and almost out of gas. Also, I've used the car wash and it didn't do a very good job of cleaning the car. read more

This Turkey Hill is kind of in the middle of an up and coming area and a kind of rough area, so I can see where it could be hit or miss depending on the time of day you visit. I think it's actually amazing that they offer so much food, like a little mini grocery store, because there are so many people who are unable to get to an actual grocery store in a consistent basis, or can't manage on public transportation for whatever reason. It's helpful to have something available other than fast food. Also, they have a redbox and it is very close to where I live, so that's a huge plus. : ) There are a surprising amount of gas pumps, which I wasn't expecting, only having driven past here and not actually stopped in, since I moved to the area. I think the checkout could be improved. It was pretty stacked in there last night and there were different entrances to the line, so it was kind of hard to tell who was next. read more

This Turkey Hill has everything going for it. My biggest annoyance for any gas station is cramming too many pumps onto a tiny lot. Not the case at this location. The interior is on another level from other gas stations in Columbus. It's basically a mini grocer. They have Kroger meats, produce, milk, cheese, etc. Some things are more expensive, but you're paying for the convenience. The checkout line is confusing, and I don't like it. Also, there's only one way in if you're heading East on Broad St. You have to make a left onto Nelson, another left onto Long, and then a left into the lot. Really odd. Anyway, those negatives weren't enough for me to remove a star. Plus, there's an ATM outside, and a Redbox. Cool! read more

You know you've had a terrible experience when you go through the extra effort of adding a location just so you can review it. This is the first Turkey Hill I've been to, since I usually avoid them because of my personal convictions. I came because a friend needed gas and I was little rumbly in the tummy region. I thought I was going to run in and grab a chocolate milk and leave but that didn't happen. I came in and was taken aback at how it is like a mini grocer in there. I checked for chocolate milk and all they had was quarts and bottles of Quik.... No thanks. I grabbed a vitamin water and candy bar instead. I tried to get in line and this is where things got ugly. There were 5 cashiers and out of the 5, 2 were actually working. When was the last time I actually saw 5 cashiers working at a regular Kroger store??? Turkey Hill is owned by Kroger FYI. The line wasn't moving due to customers taking an inordinate amount of time putting their change away and due to cashiers talking to their friends AND other cashiers. One employee was in line at the same spot in a different row as me, why did her coworker check her out before me??? It looks like they are trying to do the same check out idea as tj maxx, where you are called down to the next available cashier if you are next in line, but I guess people forgot to direct traffic. I know I'm not the only one on crazy pills because there were sighs of exasperation all around me. As I left my friend had to come in and get her receipt which ended up in hell wait V2.0 for her. I gave this location 2 stars instead of 1 because the corporation seems to be making an effort to have an outlet with produce and other food available to a lower income population. What I don't like is that the outlet has terrible service. read more
