Turkish Airlines offers a classy lounge at Dulles airport. We gain access with a Priority Pass from our credit card. It's a wonderful way to chill out at the airport. The food is consistently excellent featuring lightly seasoned Turkish food. As with other lounges, wine, beer and alcohol are free. The staff are kind and efficient. The soft lighting helps prepare evening travelers for their overnight flights. The only negative is that they don't have enough restrooms. However, there are public bathrooms just outside the lounge, which also are clean and bright. read more

My Mom and Dad were going to take a trip to Taiwan in March 2026. Unfortunately my Dad passed away in January. They would only refund his ticket. Turkish airlines made us email in all the info, death certificate, marriage certificate then told my grieving mom she had to go to a sales desk and give them the files in person. So she drove an hour to the airport to do it. Then after speaking to the associate and him talking to his manager they said she has to email the forms to a special email address so she went home to do that. Well after she sent it in they said she would have to go to the sales office to give the forms in person. Are you kidding me?! We keep going around in circles, I get the impression that they are just running down the clock. At this point we are considering legal action. This is a review of the Turkish Airlines Lounge, not the airlines. Upon entering the Turkish Airlines Lounge, it looks rather unimpressive and small with a food station in the middle and various soft drinks off to the side. However there is an Indiscreet sign pointing to the bathrooms and bars and it's like finding a secret area. There's a great Bar and Lounge with premium Liquors, wines, and soft drinks. Bathrooms are very clean and there's even a shower room although it's closed at the moment due to covid-19. Food is all individually packaged in grab-and-go containers. There's a variety of seating areas but I prefer the nice ones by the the window. Looking forward to better times when the buffet returns and the shower is open. Definitely recommended. By the way, be sure to try the Yeni Raki, it's a Turkish liquor that smells like licorice! read more

*** DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS AIRLINE** They will advertise *awesome* deals where you can do a Stopover and stay if your layover is over 16 hours or where you can TourIstanbul. You read all the fine print and make sure your layovers are good to go. You book the ticket that states it is a "stopover". You email the correct email address to inquire about it *at least* 72 hours in advance. So you email more than a week out and hear nothing back. Follow up at 72 hours still nothing. Call the day of and let them know you haven't heard back, for the rep to continue to yell at you stating "just wait" and then hangs up. When we arrived in Istanbul and went to the counter to inquire about the hotel, they then tell us that we don't qualify as there is another flight as an option that we could be listed on. We let them know that wasn't in the guidelines about what it consists of as we read over EVERYTHING. So they tell us we can go talk to the ticket counter and we could be listed on earlier flight at no additional charge. To then be told by the ticket counter, "no, it will be over $1,000 USD to put you on that flight, each". So then we have to purchase 2 additional hotels now. One on the way and one on the way back. At this point, highly frustrated with the company and the lack of customer service we have received thus far. Get to Munich and the fun with this company had just begun in Istanbul.. My bag is broken. Handle is gone and wheel is cracked off of the bag as well and placed inside the hole. So, now I am searching Munich's airport for 45 minutes looking for the baggage department because no-one is at the Turkish ticket counter or the office. I get directions from multiple people at the airport pointing me every which way but none to someone who could actually help. Don't expect the "Free Wifi" to work on board. I asked flight attendants to assist because it was telling me the information I copied from my ticket was incorrect. No-one was able to assist. When returning home, I went to put my information in to collect miles and only 2 flights worked. I got to the last 2 and it told me that my information was under someone else's name. How is that possible when I purchased a round trip ticket and the information in the email was under my name. So, I chat with a rep and they tell me it is because my middle name isn't on the ticket. I tell them it allowed me to add 6 other flights this year with no issues, that makes no sense. My name on the ticket and in my account, is the exact same. So I let them know that the information they were providing me contradicted the information and the ability to previously add. 2 of the flights were added minutes before! The rep just kept asking what else they could "help" with and then stopped responding after telling me I could submit "feedback", which would be my 3rd ticket in with this airline. NEVER AGAIN! When she collected her luggage, one suitcase was totally damaged and destroyed, she then discovered that her medications and vitamins had been stolen from her luggage. Turkish Airlines is a horrible airline. If "0" was an option, they would receive it. A coworker of mine warned me about this airline and the tendency for bags to "disappear." I didn't take it seriously, and then a passenger stole my bag off their plane recently in Istanbul. It was the worst flying experience I've ever had. They refused to help me in any meaningful way, and sent me in circles when I asked about compensation. I was stuck in a foreign country with most of my belongings stolen. Nobody in this airline cares about their passengers. I'm never going to fly on this airline again, and I suggest you don't either. read more

Located at B40, this lounge seems bigger than actual size as the layout has the food area and bar area split up. This makes for a more interesting experience when compared to the Lufthansa lounge. They usually have vegetarian options and always have rice, hummus & Baba Ghanoush . Didn't have their usual Turkish meatballs today and had butter chicken instead. Good selection of wines & spirits but only 3 beers. Hot tea is a nice touch along with Baklava for dessert. They have a TV wall with a few screens set to different channels in the main dining area. Possibly the best airport lounge I've visited in IAD airport. This lounge is crazy busy because it's that good. Also such a good representation of Turkish cuisine for those who want to try this type of cuisine. I've been to Turkey multiple times over the past few years and this lounges' food was superior in taste for being a lounge. So, I pretty much had decided I wasn't going to eat anything but looking at the food made me want to try everything. The mini kabobs were my personal favorite. But if you want to have American cuisine, they do have pasta and salads. The seating is a bit busy with not that much room since there are so many people who visit this lounge. I was able to access the Turkish Airlines Lounge with Priority Pass. It's located in Terminal B so if you're flying United, you'll have to allocate some time to make your way here. Actually came here twice within a week, first time was actually when the Turkish Airlines flight to Istanbul was about to begin and you can tell because the droves of people just disappeared. Getting in and having not really any space to sit down. But the biggest plus is definitely going to be the fact that they have hot food. YES. It's insanely good and I actually can't believe that you can get in with Priority Pass haha. They have small mini water bottles along with Tazo Tea, some pop and ginger ale as well. They have a mixture of "salads" - couscous and shepards salads, some rice, lamb (really really good), some pasta (dependent on the day, I had rigatoni shaped pasta one time and gamely pasta the other time), and soup as well. Also hummus! If you manage to find you way to the back, the bar and back seating is there. They have one restroom per gender so there's an awkward line when it gets backed up... not too pleasant there. read more

Great lounge located in the International Terminal of Dulles. Got in with my priority pass without hassle. Very friendly staff who keeps the food and drinks well stocked. Even during COVID times they had decent food for breakfast and lunch; am looking forward to when they will get back to their full fares. During lunch, they had tuna sandwiches, eggplant salad (which was very delicious), and i think a regular green salad. For breakfast, they had cereal, yogurt, and hard boiled eggs on greens. There is a bar area in the back as well as an upstairs seating area which was still closed due to COVID. Bathrooms are large and clean and there are showers available. read more

Where to start? I normally don't fly in or out of Dulles (IAD) however for this last business trip, I had a little extra time since my flight was delayed so at first I tried the British Airlines Lounge in concourse B because they accept the Priority Pass card. Little did I know, Priority Pass card entry was only until 2 pm. The nice gentlemen told me to try the Turkish Airlines Lounge, which was down the concourse about 100 feet (maybe more like 200). Upon arriving, there was a line outside of the club and from the outside it looked small, I could already tell it was pretty crowded. The line moved quickly and after checking in, there was a nice dish with none other than Turkish delight. I'm a little embarrassed to say this is the first time I've had Turkish delight, however I'm not embarrassed to say I really liked it and had a few pieces. After going into the club room, I could tell it was pretty busy - not many seats open. I walked past the food bar and it was a nice spread: pasta, chicken, beef, rice (two types), soups, hummus (two types), various salads and other items. I walked toward the back, which is where the bar is and it was also busy. The bathrooms are unisex - there are two private bathrooms, one shower room and one prayer room. There is a small upstairs with some seating as well. As you can tell by my pictures, I got a nice plate of food - overall, the quality was good for the airport and this club reminded me of my experiences in international club rooms where you can get a full meal versus what's served in the Delta Skyclub. That said, the American Express Centurion lounges have pretty good food and drinks. Overall, I recommend the Turkish Airlines Lounge and would visit again if I ever fly out of Dulles. read more

FYI, not super spacious but it works for all your flight delay, working, printing, hunger, lounging needs. Store your bag in one of the lockers located at the entry to avoid additional crowding. The bar is located arou D the right hand corner just beyond the pastry counter. There is extra seating in the bar area in case the dining room is full. It gets really crowded so prepare for lines at the petite buffet area as well as the full service bar. Bottled water & pop are self serve in the small cooler frig under the dessert table. Food is kept fresh & hot. Service is professional & prompt; note, attendees are busy cleaning & restocking for our comfort. I appreciated this. Televisions, computers, printer & charging ports available. Prayer room, shower room and 2 family stalls for relief purposes. The people made a difference. Large open room with food stations and a couple of hidden corners for quiet. An airport lounge should have WiFi, comfort, separation from the travel stress, and something unique. The WiFi was excellent. The space had a quiet bar area. And unique Turkish options made the lounge enjoyable and efficient for travel. Food wise the spicy lentil soup, baklava and salads were restaurant worthy. This is a great option for both United Club/Star Alliance Members, as well as Priority Pass. The lunch/dinner buffet was impressive for an airport location. There was a lot to choose from. I was also impressed with the full bar located at the back of the lounge. And while I was not there during a busy time --- it appeared there was ample seating through out the club. Service was great. We purchased a ticket to go to Istanbul for our nephew's wedding on mid June. The flight time would have gotten us there with plenty of time to go to hotel and get to the rehearsal. In the last two weeks they have changed our departure time from DC twice which results in getting to Istanbul 4 hours later (if there is no delay). That does not leave us any time to go to hotel and get to rehearsal. I asked them twice to change our flight to a day earlier (I will pay for extra day of hotel), and they refuse and keep talking about ticket rules. I asked them to show me where on the ticket rules it shows that then can change or even cancel the flight without any responsibility for airline. They have not been able to produce that. Be aware of their schedule change, since you will be stuck with a flight that may not work for you. read more

Why 5 stars? Because it's small but the food is phenomenal. --- --- --- 13 days in Europe ended with a 5-hour layover at IAD. As soon as we booked this trip months earlier, I immediately bookmarked a couple of lounges that were accessible with the Priority Pass. When we landed, I popped open said bookmarks and headed toward the promised land. The only problem - these lounges had hour restrictions, which meant we would be stuck for a couple of hours waiting for a certain time to come that Priority Pass members would gain access. So unfortunate. But luckily, my wife had the latest update of her Priority Pass app, which showed that the Turkish Airlines Lounge had no hour restrictions! So we headed over, but a little scarred from the other two lounges turning us down. Much to our delight, we were admitted with no questions asked and it was on! This was a small lounge, but the food was as good as I've ever had in a lounge. To go along with the airline, much of it was Turkish/Middle Eastern, and everything was awesome. Chicken, saffron rice, salad, hummus, pita bread, rice pudding, oatmeal cookies and baklava. We ate all of the things. We felt like it was definitely on par with the best AMEX Centurion Lounges in terms of food. As I mentioned, it was definitely on the smaller end. There was basically the main dining area and a small lounging room off to the side, with one shower and 3 private bathrooms. When we first arrived, it was fairly empty, but it got a bit more crowded as the day went on. My only complaint is that unlike the Centurion Lounges, there weren't any places to lay down (or maybe there were a couple chairs that were already taken.) But flying back from Europe and being stuck at the airport as long as we were, we would have loved to be able to lay down for a bit and wait for our 2-week journey to come to an end. I've heard that Turkish Airways is a great airline to fly and I'd love to try them out in the future. I can only hope their flights are as nice as their lounges! read more

The meatballs and bread pudding were insanely good. - The ease of access upon arrival. All I presented was my Priority Pass. They didn't ask for ID or boarding pass. What I hate: - Having to get here, especially if you're not already in terminal B. - The lack of space to sit and eat, or stand and eat. Of course lounge standards seem to go up at international destinations, but I think this one is pretty good for a domestic location. Some highlights: -Luggage storage: This was really nice, especially as a solo traveler because I didn't have anyone with me to switch out watching the bags while getting food, drinks, etc. Note: See the front desk to reserve a locker. I mistakenly put my bag right into one and entered a code, but then a staff member came over to collect some information and put in a different key code. She was very nice about it, but just a heads up to let a staff member know you'd like to reserve a space. -Open to Prioroty Pass members when the other lounges in this airport are closed (or when they're open to only businness/first class flyers of the associated airline) -Hot buffet for dinner was pretty good -There is a self-serve coffee machine with milk-based drinks (cappuccino, cafe latte, hot chcoooate, etc.) -Bar was included -They had small bottled drinks to go -All spaces were clean -Service was friendly throughout. Due to a delayed connection, I was in the lounge for a quite a while and only encountered friendliness and smiles. I ended up having to stay the night in the area, so I actually came back again the next day before my rescheduled flight. I had no issues at all. Lastly, I know this can be hit or miss, and not directly related to the lounge itself, but the other travelers I met while in this lounge were really nice! We chatted about travel, great places to eat, and swapped some recommendations. AMBIANCE Amazing, beautiful even. I think this is one of the best, if not the very best aesthetic in a lounge I have ever seen. Premium materials everywhere, plentiful seating, and a nice overall look. The window to the tarmac was a decent view - probably the best at IAD. FOOD I was here during breakfast - I wish there was more hot food, but otherwise the spread of fresh food was actually quite good. Add to that that there were Turkish delights at the check-in desk, and you have a fairly cool place to come and snack. NOISE It was lower than other places I've been, and unlike a lot of Priority Pass lounges I've been in recently, there was no annoying guy constantly on his cell phone speaking too loudly the whole time. After situating in Lufthansa lounge, I decided to look up Turkish Airline lounge to decide how much time to allocate in each. After seeing Turkish airline lounge's hot food selections, I hurried my husband to gather his stuff and immediately made our way over. Unfortunately for priority pass holders, they turned them away during peak hours. There were a couple of guests who made a huge scene by the entrance - downright nasty and condescending to the staffs. Fortunately, my husband had a back up status card, we entered with no problem. Upon entering we can see why they had to turn priority pass holders away. We had a hard time finding an empty seat or even space for our luggages to stand. After scouting around for a bit, a table finally opened up. We quickly grabbed a couple of plates - grilled chicken, white fish, saffron rice, tagine, lentil soup, creamed mushroom soup, smoked eggplant dip, yogurt sauce, hummus, assorted salads, and fresh cut fruits. Their grilled chicken was one of the best grilled chicken I've ever had. Coming from an all you can eat brunch buffet just an hour before, I inhaled three plates worth of their juiciest, most tender cuts. My inner fatty kept telling myself - it's just protein. Baklava, rice pudding, and Turkish tea - authentic and spot on delish. Overall - If the lounge reflects their on plane food quality, definitely need to plan a trip to fly with Turkish Airline. read more

Hands down one of the best priority pass lounges that I have visited. I decided to travel to Vermont in January and was hoping for the best, which was not the case and ended up missing my connecting flight in D.C, so I had the pleasure of visiting this lounge in a lengthy stopover. First, the lounge is larger than it appears when you enter. You check in with the front desk and you have the option of storing your bag in a locker if you do not want to lug it around with you through the lounge which is a nice touch. The bar is on the other side of the lounge around a smaller corridor with more seating than what is in the food and business area. I was there for lunch so there was quite the spread such as meatballs, pasta, rice, fish etc. The variety was some of the best that I have seen in a lounge. There was also a nice cheese selection with crackers and a variety of desserts including baklava. I had to do some work, so the free and fast WiFi was nice. I wish there were more power outlets, but I did find some and they also have a little business area with computers and printers on a conference table. Overall, this was a pleasant experience while waiting for my next flight to Vermont and would highly recommend anyone that has a Priority Pass to visit this lounge. it can get busy, however, but it seemed to move well with the flight schedules. read more

This is a pretty nice lounge to bum it for a few hours at IAD. The place, however, is deceptively smaller that what is shown in the pictures. The food and service are among the best I've see in any airport lounge. The atmosphere is definitely affected (a bit noisy) when it is crowded, and may become difficult to find seats together. read more

Among the better airport lounges I've been too and I highly recommend if you like freshly sliced fruit and Mediterranean food! The service was fantastic too! Came here on Halloween and they had cute Halloween decorations and cupcakes with the cutout of a pumpkin. There's a meditation room available and showers too! read more

We lucked out that our Southwest flight was leaving from this terminal since this is an international lounge. The turkish cuisine was delicious in my opinion. A little crowded but people began to taper off. I did not know they had a second room where the bar was so make sure you look everywhere for a seat. It's definitely worth coming here a few hours before your flight because free food, free wifi, and drinks...can't pass that up! read more
