I would have to say that the seats are cramped and hard to move around. I would agree you felt a little like sardines packed in a can. The plane staff were all very nice and accommodating. When, we were flying into Dulles there were storms and I think the pilot did a great job navigating the landing. Boarding and luggage were all handled smoothly. My only real complaints would be the extra costs for sitting close to the wing and the cramped seats. I would fly United again, but I might check and see how much business class is, since you have more room. So, go ahead, fly the friendly skies of United.

I…read morepurchased multiple flights for my trip which started from Newark and was supposed to return to Newark. My departure flights went smoothly with any negative incidents. However, a few days before my return flights were scheduled I get a email from the airline apologizing for changing my return flight which would now end at Washington Dulles airport instead Newark airport as I booked. I immediately sent a email then tried their social media site but they had many. The airline didn't respond to my email until my day of departure while I was already at the airport. They offered alternative flights to get to Newark but they were in 2 days and the email mentioned no accommodations. I flew the first return flight which was to Addis Ababa which is their home airport. I spoke to one of their customer service representatives and she claimed that she could not help me because I booked through booking.com and they had changed my flights. But also in her explanation she tells me that they had no flights going to Newark at all. All of statements were contradicting and made no sense to me so I eventually I asked for a supervisor. Once the supervisor showed he agreed with me and stated "we have to get you to Newark because that was your original booking" then proceeded to instruct the staff on changing my flights. While waiting I met other people in line with the same issue however, they had excepted the representatives initial statement and never asked for a supervisor. When traveling you want to fly with airlines you can trust. After my experience with Ethiopian airlines I wouldn't feel comfortable traveling with them again because I would not want a repeat experience.

This airline is of the best I have ever flown with…read more Upon boarding the plane we were provided provided escort to our seats in first class, which were actually more like apartments. The first class seats literally have everything you could possibly need for pajamas, toiletries, snacks and entertainment. If there is anything you may need just push the call button or ask and they will do whatever they can to help. Everyone onboard is exceptional in everything they do, especially ensuring you are satisfied and have everything you require. The entertainment offered on board is quite a variety and they keep up to date on tv shows and movies. They also provide flight information in real time and other entertainment options, including music. They do have headphones available as well. The food is order on demand, so instead of setting your dinner order, breakfast order and times, they will share with you the menu's in advance, place your order when you are ready. The dink menu for first class is phenomenal, the vintage scotch and port are two of my favorites. I love to end the evening with a 1964 port. Take your drink to the bar I order to stretch your legs if you like, whatever you are drinking will follow you if you advise staff, business class does not have the same drink menu. The food is exceptionally well prepared and so is the place setting. You will also be asked to schedule your morning shower, I noticed many people not wanting to shower but I have to say there is nothing better at the end of a long flight and no worries of getting cold feet as the bathroom floors are heated for your comfort. You will have 30 minutes to shower total and 5 minutes of water use so watch the timer and turn off in between lathering and rinsing. Once you are ready for bed just ask to have the bed made up and you will be ready to sleep, not everyone uses the pajamas supplied but I find them very comfortable. If your looking for a five star airline, you have it with Emirates! Cheers!!

The food is consistently excellent featuring lightly seasoned Turkish food. As with other lounges, wine, beer and alcohol are free. The staff are kind and efficient. The soft lighting helps prepare evening travelers for their overnight flights. The only negative is that they don't have enough restrooms. However, there are public bathrooms just outside the lounge, which also are clean and bright.
