I wish Qatar could offer a lounge other than the Turkish Airlines lounge. It's small, crowded, and cramped, and the tables aren't well maintained due to the overwhelming number of people. The food was mediocre and the selection was pretty limited. Overall, this is my least favorite lounge at IAD, aside from the United clubs.

Scam! Do not purchase flights with Turkish. I purchased a flight to Cairo. The airline later drastically changed the flight schedule and offered a refund. However, they refused to refund the hundreds of dollars in seat selection charges. The airline claims it's not their fault. I beg to differ, they changed their schedule, not I. Such rude, dismissive, thieving customer service. AVOID TURKISH!

*** DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS AIRLINE** They will advertise *awesome* deals where you can do a Stopover and stay if your layover is over 16 hours or where you can TourIstanbul. You read all the fine print and make sure your layovers are good to go. You book the ticket that states it is a "stopover". You email the correct email address to inquire about it *at least* 72 hours in advance. So you email more than a week out and hear nothing back. Follow up at 72 hours still nothing. Call the day of and let them know you haven't heard back, for the rep to continue to yell at you stating "just wait" and then hangs up. When we arrived in Istanbul and went to the counter to inquire about the hotel, they then tell us that we don't qualify as there is another flight as an option that we could be listed on. We let them know that wasn't in the guidelines about what it consists of as we read over EVERYTHING. So they tell us we can go talk to the ticket counter and we could be listed on earlier flight at no additional charge. To then be told by the ticket counter, "no, it will be over $1,000 USD to put you on that flight, each". So then we have to purchase 2 additional hotels now. One on the way and one on the way back. At this point, highly frustrated with the company and the lack of customer service we have received thus far. Get to Munich and the fun with this company had just begun in Istanbul.. My bag is broken. Handle is gone and wheel is cracked off of the bag as well and placed inside the hole. So, now I am searching Munich's airport for 45 minutes looking for the baggage department because no-one is at the Turkish ticket counter or the office. I get directions from multiple people at the airport pointing me every which way but none to someone who could actually help. Don't expect the "Free Wifi" to work on board. I asked flight attendants to assist because it was telling me the information I copied from my ticket was incorrect. No-one was able to assist. When returning home, I went to put my information in to collect miles and only 2 flights worked. I got to the last 2 and it told me that my information was under someone else's name. How is that possible when I purchased a round trip ticket and the information in the email was under my name. So, I chat with a rep and they tell me it is because my middle name isn't on the ticket. I tell them it allowed me to add 6 other flights this year with no issues, that makes no sense. My name on the ticket and in my account, is the exact same. So I let them know that the information they were providing me contradicted the information and the ability to previously add. 2 of the flights were added minutes before! The rep just kept asking what else they could "help" with and then stopped responding after telling me I could submit "feedback", which would be my 3rd ticket in with this airline. NEVER AGAIN! I AM SOOO DISSAPPOINTED! This is not customer service.

This is a review of the Turkish Airlines Lounge, not the airlines. Upon entering the Turkish Airlines Lounge, it looks rather unimpressive and small with a food station in the middle and various soft drinks off to the side. However there is an Indiscreet sign pointing to the bathrooms and bars and it's like finding a secret area. There's a great Bar and Lounge with premium Liquors, wines, and soft drinks. Bathrooms are very clean and there's even a shower room although it's closed at the moment due to covid-19. Food is all individually packaged in grab-and-go containers. There's a variety of seating areas but I prefer the nice ones by the the window. Looking forward to better times when the buffet returns and the shower is open. Definitely recommended. By the way, be sure to try the Yeni Raki, it's a Turkish liquor that smells like licorice!

Located at B40, this lounge seems bigger than actual size as the layout has the food area and bar area split up. This makes for a more interesting experience when compared to the Lufthansa lounge. They usually have vegetarian options and always have rice, hummus & Baba Ghanoush . Didn't have their usual Turkish meatballs today and had butter chicken instead. Good selection of wines & spirits but only 3 beers. Hot tea is a nice touch along with Baklava for dessert. They have a TV wall with a few screens set to different channels in the main dining area. It was crowded on a Wednesday afternoon at 4. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

Possibly the best airport lounge I've visited in IAD airport. This lounge is crazy busy because it's that good. Also such a good representation of Turkish cuisine for those who want to try this type of cuisine. I've been to Turkey multiple times over the past few years and this lounges' food was superior in taste for being a lounge. So, I pretty much had decided I wasn't going to eat anything but looking at the food made me want to try everything. The mini kabobs were my personal favorite. But if you want to have American cuisine, they do have pasta and salads. The seating is a bit busy with not that much room since there are so many people who visit this lounge. But they do have a second floor sitting option as well as a second room towards the bar area. I liked seating near the window to see the airplanes come and go. ~

I was able to access the Turkish Airlines Lounge with Priority Pass. It's located in Terminal B so if you're flying United, you'll have to allocate some time to make your way here. Actually came here twice within a week, first time was actually when the Turkish Airlines flight to Istanbul was about to begin and you can tell because the droves of people just disappeared. Getting in and having not really any space to sit down. But the biggest plus is definitely going to be the fact that they have hot food. YES. It's insanely good and I actually can't believe that you can get in with Priority Pass haha. They have small mini water bottles along with Tazo Tea, some pop and ginger ale as well. They have a mixture of "salads" - couscous and shepards salads, some rice, lamb (really really good), some pasta (dependent on the day, I had rigatoni shaped pasta one time and gamely pasta the other time), and soup as well. Also hummus! If you manage to find you way to the back, the bar and back seating is there. They have one restroom per gender so there's an awkward line when it gets backed up... not too pleasant there.

Great lounge located in the International Terminal of Dulles. Got in with my priority pass without hassle. Very friendly staff who keeps the food and drinks well stocked. Even during COVID times they had decent food for breakfast and lunch; am looking forward to when they will get back to their full fares. During lunch, they had tuna sandwiches, eggplant salad (which was very delicious), and i think a regular green salad. For breakfast, they had cereal, yogurt, and hard boiled eggs on greens. There is a bar area in the back as well as an upstairs seating area which was still closed due to COVID. Bathrooms are large and clean and there are showers available.

Nice plate of chicken, beef, hummus, and more from the club

Where to start? I normally don't fly in or out of Dulles (IAD) however for this last business trip, I had a little extra time since my flight was delayed so at first I tried the British Airlines Lounge in concourse B because they accept the Priority Pass card. Little did I know, Priority Pass card entry was only until 2 pm. The nice gentlemen told me to try the Turkish Airlines Lounge, which was down the concourse about 100 feet (maybe more like 200). Upon arriving, there was a line outside of the club and from the outside it looked small, I could already tell it was pretty crowded. The line moved quickly and after checking in, there was a nice dish with none other than Turkish delight. I'm a little embarrassed to say this is the first time I've had Turkish delight, however I'm not embarrassed to say I really liked it and had a few pieces. After going into the club room, I could tell it was pretty busy - not many seats open. I walked past the food bar and it was a nice spread: pasta, chicken, beef, rice (two types), soups, hummus (two types), various salads and other items. I walked toward the back, which is where the bar is and it was also busy. The bathrooms are unisex - there are two private bathrooms, one shower room and one prayer room. There is a small upstairs with some seating as well. As you can tell by my pictures, I got a nice plate of food - overall, the quality was good for the airport and this club reminded me of my experiences in international club rooms where you can get a full meal versus what's served in the Delta Skyclub. That said, the American Express Centurion lounges have pretty good food and drinks. Overall, I recommend the Turkish Airlines Lounge and would visit again if I ever fly out of Dulles.

Lovely lounge when it's not on pause...uuughhhh. However once you get inside it certainly does the trick! FYI, not super spacious but it works for all your flight delay, working, printing, hunger, lounging needs. Store your bag in one of the lockers located at the entry to avoid additional crowding. The bar is located arou D the right hand corner just beyond the pastry counter. There is extra seating in the bar area in case the dining room is full. It gets really crowded so prepare for lines at the petite buffet area as well as the full service bar. Bottled water & pop are self serve in the small cooler frig under the dessert table. Food is kept fresh & hot. Service is professional & prompt; note, attendees are busy cleaning & restocking for our comfort. I appreciated this. Televisions, computers, printer & charging ports available. Prayer room, shower room and 2 family stalls for relief purposes. Window seats overlook plane area so you can see what's coming & going. ~Christy

The people made a difference. Large open room with food stations and a couple of hidden corners for quiet. An airport lounge should have WiFi, comfort, separation from the travel stress, and something unique. The WiFi was excellent. The space had a quiet bar area. And unique Turkish options made the lounge enjoyable and efficient for travel. Food wise the spicy lentil soup, baklava and salads were restaurant worthy. The people, working at the lounge were friendly, helpful, and looking to make patrons happy.

How busy does this lounge get in the evening on Thursdays? Would a Priority Pass Select member be able to get in?

I bought access to this lounge through loungebuddy. Will be using it this weekend as I fly into IAD on a redeye. Thought I can freshen up at 6am before I head into the meetings. Any body denied access through lounge buddy pass. Breakfast, any good?

This lounge has one of the best food set ups. I love it every time i visit. You should be fine with your lounge buddy pass.

About to receive my priority pass from chase reserve , never used this before so just wanted to know if j literally can just show up to the lounge and show them my card and that's it?

In theory yes but I recently tried just that and was turned away because the lounge was too busy at that time.

I have a priority pass, which looks like it would get me in. What about my kid, age 15? Would I be required to pay a fee?

Be aware that you can't get in if the lounge is too busy. I am a Priority Pass holder and I was very recently turned away. I was told I could try again after 4:30pm.

Hi, are you able to visit from a different gate without having to exit the secure area? Or do you need to go through security to go to a different gate? Thanks

    This is inside security.

The first class seats literally have everything you could possibly need for pajamas, toiletries, snacks and entertainment. If there is anything you may need just push the call button or ask and they will do whatever they can to help. Everyone onboard is exceptional in everything they do, especially ensuring you are satisfied and have everything you require. The entertainment offered on board is quite a variety and they keep up to date on tv shows and movies. They also provide flight information in real time and other entertainment options, including music. They do have headphones available as well. The food is order on demand, so instead of setting your dinner order, breakfast order and times, they will share with you the menu's in advance, place your order when you are ready. The dink menu for first class is phenomenal, the vintage scotch and port are two of my favorites. I love to end the evening with a 1964 port. Take your drink to the bar I order to stretch your legs if you like, whatever you are drinking will follow you if you advise staff, business class does not have the same drink menu. The food is exceptionally well prepared and so is the place setting. You will also be asked to schedule your morning shower, I noticed many people not wanting to shower but I have to say there is nothing better at the end of a long flight and no worries of getting cold feet as the bathroom floors are heated for your comfort. You will have 30 minutes to shower total and 5 minutes of water use so watch the timer and turn off in between lathering and rinsing. Once you are ready for bed just ask to have the bed made up and you will be ready to sleep, not everyone uses the pajamas supplied but I find them very comfortable. As an Emerald member with the oneworld alliance, I have always received complimentary seat selection on partner airlines. Unfortunately, this American Airlines experience fell short of expectations. I paid an extra **$140** for seats that appeared to offer a better arrangement during the booking process. However, after my wife and I boarded the aircraft, we realized the seating layout differed from what had been displayed at purchase. Paying additional fees only to encounter an uncomfortable seating situation was disappointing. My assigned seat, **6K**, lacked adequate cushioning, making the journey more uncomfortable than expected. I relied on extra pillows and blankets for lower back support throughout much of the flight. On longer trips, seat comfort can make a significant difference in the overall passenger experience. The customer service process proved equally frustrating. I first contacted an agent in Detroit seeking clarification regarding my flight details and aircraft information. I was then transferred to another department, believed to be located in Chicago, where I was informed they could not assist and was given yet another number to call. That representative ultimately redirected me back to the original Detroit contact. Only after several calls and repeated explanations did an agent finally provide the information I had requested from the start. After boarding, I found the aircraft itself attractive and well-maintained, and most of the flight attendants appeared hardworking and professional despite managing a busy cabin. However, the overall environment deteriorated as the flight progressed. A number of passengers were noisy and inconsiderate, and the lavatories became increasingly untidy within a few hours, with wet floors and sinks requiring attention. Although the cabin crew deserved recognition for their efforts and professionalism, the inconsistent customer service, uncomfortable seating experience, and declining cleanliness ultimately overshadowed the positives. Based on this experience, I would strongly compare alternatives before booking American Airlines for a similar trip in the Future. Flew Business Class on Austrian Airlines from Washington DC (IAD) to Vienna (VIE) and then on to…read moreAthens (ATH), booked with miles through Star Alliance with United Airlines. The long haul business flight was surprisingly bad. On the plus side, the food was delicious and service was friendly. I enjoyed trying a range of Austrian wines, and they were kind enough to give me a second entree. But the hard product - the seating - was lacking. I slept worse than I'd have slept in economy - the seat was hard and uncomfortable, and the temperature in the cabin was swelteringly high. The short haul Schengen flight from Vienna to Athens was pretty standard, and is often the case with intra-EU flights, the "business class" was just economy seats at the front of the plane with the middle seats blocked - no extra legroom or roomier seating. Again, the food was delicious, I was surprised at the quality (and quantity) of the meal on such a short flight. I'd definitely avoid Austrian on a transcontinenal flight in the future. In fact, my return flight was originalluy on Austrian, but I changed to United. Say what you will about UA, but the international Polaris Business class is still one of the best transcon options until you get into First Class territory.

Worst airline experience with first time taking this airline. After waiting at the gate for an…read morehour, we get told we needed new tickets printed out. With the agents there, why not announce or put a sign that would let passengers be aware of needing new printed tickets flying into US of Canada instead of waiting to tell everyone and have to go through another line elsewhere. It's a good thing we had enough time of layover. So we go to their customer service and get the tickets, come back in line and AGAIN we're told wait somewhere else until another 30mins to get in line for boarding. So we couldn't even sit down by the gate cause they had it blocked off and only let a few in. Wait what??!! So we board and no air vents for individual air flow. I thought I was going to passed out from being hot. As for the meal? You get what they have! No choice!!! It was more Vegetarian than anything. So if you fly with them or connect with them through United, now you know.
