I also wanted the wood trim around the garage door, first and second floor windows, a large colonial window above the entrance, the front door and windows, and all facia boards repainted. I received four estimates, but only three did site visits. Three of the estimates were over $4,000. My house was built in 1993. I've had the front soft washed and repainted three times since then. Each time the price was a little higher, but no where close to $4,000. Liberty Painting's price was very reasonable and no where near $4,000. We scheduled the work for the following week. I was looking to…read morehave fixed several showing wallboard tapings and cracks, along with a tile replacement and recaulking of one of the bathrooms. I was very impressed at the initial face to face meeting (for an estimate) with Scott, an owner, and his detailed identification of the work to be done by his company-- as well as the very fair price. Scott also identified for us a possible "big" cause of the wall cracks and needed tile repair (a possible pressure issue) that was outside of his expertise and suggested that we get a structural engineer to look at the damage. Scott didn't want to start his repairs until after that possible pressure issue was resolved (for our benefit, so that we wouldn't have the problem again after his repairs). How many painters have you met who is up on the ladder like more than 20 ft high and patch up rotten wood areas of my trims thoroughly (he doesn't have to because I have no idea what the conditions of my trim areas like up there high)? Pretty much all contractors would simply paint and wont even mention to the customers about it yet he insisted going backup the ladder multiple trips and took take care of them.
