All I can say is WOW, look no further for the best tile installation company in the area. The customer service and execution of Compass Tile is truly unmatched. We worked with Andy to choose a tile and place the order. She was incredibly helpful, responsive, prompt and knowledgeable. Unfortunately once the tile was installed the color didn't look like how we were expecting, but Andy immediately rectified the situation and repeated several times how important it is for us to be satisfied with the end result - I have honestly never received that kind of customer service, and I was blown away. Victor installed our tile and was also so knowledgeable, meticulous and efficient. The tile installation is BEAUTIFUL. He was so kind and professional, despite having to take out the initial tile and reinstall it due to the color discrepancy. Compass did 2 bathrooms and a fireplace. On the positive they have a nice tile selection and at the time Catherine was extremely helpful(she has since left). The tile install was beautiful. Unfortunately, under the beauty was a complete nightmare and I had to project manage additional local contractors to completely redo the plumbing, electric and joist boards. The wood floors were sanded and stained. The stairs were so sloppy, Compass spent 2 days fixing them. There were a lot of items in my home that were damaged in the process. Unless you have a simple tile job, I would not recommend these guys. read more

I wanted to like Compass.. They have an amazing selection of tiles and close to where I live.. Picked out some tiles and Nelly said she would get some samples for me.. Waited 2 weeks and nothing.. No calls no emails.. I went back to compass. and they had no clue who I was.. They said the samples would be here ASAP.. Got the samples and wanted to order the tile.. I was informed that the price Compass quoted me was not longer the price and had gone up 20%.. Walked out and Ordered the tile online for less than the original price.. I really wanted to like these guys. read more

Our tile order was quite large as we are renovating three bathrooms. We purchased some VERY expensive ($175/sq. ft) marble tiles to use as an accent. Three of the sheets had cracks and were not used. Once the bathroom was complete I had my contractor try to return the broken tiles and ask for a store credit so we could do a little bit more tile work. They would not accept the broken tiles because they were...get this...broken! They then said that we were outside of the return window (sorry, but sometimes construction goes slowly). As beautiful as the tile work came out, the lack of accepting the broken product back for STORE CREDIT left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

We went to Compass to get tile for our powder room reno. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We picked a couple tiles we liked and they gave us pricing for each of the tiles. Italian Porcelain tile is what we chose for the floor and shower in our first floor bathroom. Skip Depot/Lowe's and shop at Compass, You have more to choose from, customer service is great and you will be so much happier with the end product. I see a new master bath in our near future, so we definitely will shop at Compass again. read more

Two years ago I bought tile - the owner helped and after spending money on expensive accent tiles that I could not return (I spent time trying to contact their contractors who never called so went past the return time) my contractor advised me they were not the same size as the other glass tiles and useless. They sat in the garage until I moved. For some silly reason (not wanting to get into traffic on Route 2) I went back. They just don't have very trained sales people. She did not ask questions and so I now have tiles and am missing bull nose to actually complete the job. She sold me two pieces of bullnose - which is what I said I needed for one end of the wall but she asked any questions and I am not a tile person. The salesperson never pointed out the other open end would need a finishing piece or two also. Seems like a great place but they are supposed to be the professionals, to ask the questions, to look at the photos. Venture into the traffic and go to Atlas. read more
