We took our vehicle to Turner Automotive to get fixed. We were told they would contact us to let us know what was going on with it. They did not. Their communication is horrible. We had to constantly reach out to them to find out the status of the vehicle. When the vehicle was supposedly fixed we were told we could pick it up, but the vehicle was not at Turner Automotive when we arrived. They had taken it to a dealership without telling us and they had not brought it back. We went to the dealership to get the car, it was having the exact same issue as when we dropped it off. We contacted Turner Automotive, they told us to bring it back and it was probably a part that they had replaced so it would be a warranty issue. We took the car back, we were told it was several different issues, they kept changing what they thought it was. They never told us we owed anything. They had the car for quite a while and we were still having to reach out to them for updates. When the vehicle was finally done, we picked it up and were were told we owed additional money. We would not have had Turner Automotive fix it if it was not a warranty issue. The original repair was over $3,000 and it did not need to be done. It did not fix the issue at all. The second repair was over $500. The person that told us we had to pay that said there was a miscommunication and that we had to pay it. The original repair never should have been done since that was not the problem. Turner Automotive misdiagnosed the vehicle and did not make it right on our end. Picture it..... it's zero dark thirty and you hear a ridiculously obnoxious noise emitting from undercarriage of your reliable steed. You're not mechanically inclined so, like my 40 something year old body, when it makes funny noises or the check engine light comes on, you just press on and keep driving. When out of nowhere red and blue lights appear in my rear view mirror...... do I stop? Do they know what I've been up to? I played it cool and pulled over. The deputy advised that something was dragging under my ride..... I hope it wasn't a pedestrian I didn't see while I was busy texting. Turns out, it was a sway bar or something along those lines. Anyway, the cats at Turner Automotive (once they opened) got me back on the road lickity split, no shit! I would drive from Antarctica to give them my business. They saved the day!! Poor business man! Too soon to say if he fixed the car. The car, a 1997 BMW 328i, needed a new stering column key/ingnition (quote of 1 hour for labor). Steve ordered a VIN# part on Sept 30th. He should have ordered two parts but only ordered the one. The VIN# part came in on Oct 9th, so we had the car towed there that afternoon. At 12:30 on the 10th, Steve called to say that he needed the other part too and that the car would not be ready until the next day because BMW is in Fife, WA and the part would not arrive today. We offered to go pick up the part in order that we would still be able to have the car finished on the 10th. The parts guy at BMW told us that he told Turner Automotive to order both parts. He was shaking his head that we were in for the other part. We got back from Fife with the part and arrived at Turner at 3:00 and Steve said that the car would not be ready until the next day even though he had said on the phone at 12:30 that if we went and got it that it would. He denied saying that when we came back in with the part. We had words in the office, then got in our car to leave. As we sat there talking about what to do, Steve came out to our car and had our keys and asked us if we would like to take our car somewhere else! Who does that?? I told him "No, I don't want to tow my car to another shop and start from scratch with them." I told him that if he wanted to make things right then fix the car and fix it today. Steve's reason for not finishing the car was because he had someone else's car he was working on had been in the garage since Friday (7 days). I told him that he had ordered our part Monday of that week (11 days). I told him that our car should be higher on his priority list because, well, we were in before the car you are working on. Steve mentioned more than once that we needed an apt, he had scheduled our car for the morning, not the afternoon. He used the word appointment numerous time. I could not believe that this guy expected us to make an apt for him to finish. We went home but came back later with some friends. Steve was persuaded to finish the job....now would be good. But hey, we were willing to hang out and wait. Steve spent 25 minutes rght in front of us to finish the job (the car was never pulled into a bay). 1. Should have ordered both parts at the start. 2. Should've honored his word about completeting job if we went to get the part. 3. Suggesting we take our business somewhere else is exactly what we will be doing. You should do the same!! read more

Turner Automotive is an Honest Vehicle Repair Shop with Certified Technicians! And if you think you need something fixed or done to repair your vehicle, and they find that it's not necessary, they honestly tell you either, you can wait, or even better yet, if there's nothing wrong, they send you on your way with no money spent! My wife and I have four vehicles among us and on our farm. They are well maintained by us through our use of Turner Automotive's services. We get reminders sent in the mail through post cards for each vehicle. Since we like to keep them for 10 to 20 years, we follow the scheduled maintenance requirements from the car manufacturers - we find that if we do that, that we don't have major repairs! Pay a little over time, maintain them with regular oil changes and have a great mechanic who keeps up in the latest techniques and diagnostic equipment - THAT's TURNER AUTOMOTIVE! Very disappointing! Tried Turner Auto at a friend's suggestion - Be careful getting an estimate. Never received any form of estimate in fact our estimate became an outrageous bill with no authorization. The bill was way over every other estimate and they didn't even supply the parts. Instead of trying to work through this damaging issue, when exception was taken about the lack of an estimate, they threatened to take it apart and have me tow it back home. Upon stopping in over a week after the crushing news of this bill, (I did not give them notice I was coming in) my vehicle was left unlocked, accessible to anyone who walked by! Will NEVER recommend this mechanic and will certainly warn anyone who asks me! read more
