My entire hvac system was inoperable. The thermostat was functioning. I was worried this would be a break the bank type of repair. The technician came out and immediately spotted a bad drain microswitch that my builders used (one of the cheaper ones) and said he'd return with the proper switches. $150 later and it's fully operational. I called the next day and just asked for a letter from them to send to Mr. Cool warranty department stating the mini split was leaking, so I could get a replacement for it and Eric said, "The owner doesn't feel comfortable putting his name on a letter to another company stating the unit was leaking."
