I decided to finally buy a revolver. We've been going through some stalker type stuff and with my husband always working, I wanted to have some sort of protection for my daughter and I. I'm not particularly a fan of guns, but I've been around them my whole life and I've been trained on how to use them. We hit up this location on a Saturday mid day. I took my firearms safety test and passé with flying colors. I held several handguns but decided on a Smith & Wesson .38 special because it felt right in my hands and it was easy to load and shoot and could be a CCW weapon if I chose to go that route which I most likely will. It was very busy on a Saturday. Our employee was friendly but not overly helpful. Audrey I think her nave was but I'm not looking at my paperwork so don't quote me on that. The most irritating thing was that you are t supposed to stand at the counter unless your hand is called, and people were looking at the guns and making me feel uncomfortable as they were supposed to be waiting behind the blue line. Not one employee said anything. I had three grown men pushing up against me as I was trying to check out guns. I felt a bit rushed and uncomfortable but in the end I know I made a great choice. Upon pickup 10 days later, we brought our trash bill not realizing that trash isn't on the included list of bills they will accept. Sadly we had married only 7 months prior and most of my stuff was in my maiden name other than my DL and SS. Luckily another employee overheard the convo and told me to go to AAA and change my registration over and bring that back the sane day and I'd be good to go. Which I did, and everything went great. I'm the proud owner of a revolver and while I hope to never gave to use I'd fit defense, I'm happy to know I can protect my family. I don't really know how to rate Turners in comparison to other places, but I wouldn't hesitate to go again. Just know weekends are extremely busy. Expect a wait. Take a number. Hang out. Buy a gun. As for the fishing etc. no wait. Only fir gun purchases and ammo purchases. read more

Plus this location has little inventory, and little expertise or knowledge (I should 308 long range and hunting). They also won't let you use the bathroom, they put a sign on it that says out of order, but they just want to use it for themselves and not let the customers use it. Ive been to this store many times for basically every service they have such as guns as well as fishing throughout the corse of the past 3 years and during this time there has been only 2 employe/ that have been helpful everyone else either just says stuff but really dosnt know anything and all of there attitudes suck. The order was under my name, but according to the email confirmation, a person with the same address could pick up if they show an ID and the email confirmation. My husband (same last name and address) went 20 minutes out of his way to pick up the product, following all the guidelines specified on the email, but the cashier and manager wouldn't allow him to pick up the item. Businesses should be aware of their policies and stick to it. The customer should not suffer due to miscommunication or policy confusion. read more

Went to look at handguns for personal protection. Sales rep who helped was AWESOME. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Answered all our questions and made recommendations. Chose a handgun. I didn't have any paperwork with me to begin the background check, so put a deposit and made plans to return. Upon returning, with my birth certificate, I was told that since my birth name didn't match my married name I would also need my marriage license. And if my marriage license name didn't match I'd need to show proof of any names in between (ex. previously married and divorced). So another trip to the store. This time had the original sales rep. help out. My birth certificate and marriage license were sufficient to proceed with the background check. 10 days later, head to the store to pick-up my pistol. There's no proof of residency. SERIOUSLY?!? So, go dig through my car to find my registration because I am NOT spending another dime to buy a fishing/hunting license. Registration is expired (by like 2 days-I just paid it!). Nope, not good. Even though it shows my address. All the utilities are in my husband's name so those won't work either. I REALLY want to just cancel the purchase. I don't even care aboit the $200 cancelation fee at this point. I now have to make yet ANOTHER trip to the store either once I get my new registration or print a temporary. I understand they are following CA law but they really should have a handout listing ALL the documentation required to purchase a gun and be more organized. What a colossal waste of time. Will not be purchasing anything else from this location. read more

This turners is my husband's favorite go to store when it comes to purchasing a new firearm. We've never had issues with customer service everyone is always nice and helpful very communicative. But our last recent visit here was super annoying. We waited until our number came up (didn't wait long) he was excited to ask about a specific firearm but unfortunately being helped by Samantha wasn't very nice. She seemed super annoyed. Her answers were extremely plain. "Yes" "no" "no".... We approached her with respect said hello asked what gun he was looking for still don't understand her issue. Smile more ! Drove to this location because it was the on of the few with the optic ready slide I needed in stock. I told them what I was looking for and they walked the slide all the way to the front register and only gave it to me after I had paid. It was only once I got home that I notice the box had already been open. The plate I needed for the optic was missing from the box. It only had 6 of the 7 plates. I will not be returning to this location. Haven't had anything like this happen at any of the other stores. read more

Decided to get the sale for Glock slide and barrel combo. I asked for black slide with gold barrel and when I asked what was the difference he stated there were non. after my purchase and I get home I notice the slide does not want to feed and also it was not RMR footprint. I then call the store immediately and asked for manager and state my problem. Nathanael was able to set aside the correct slide with RMR footprint. I decided to take the long trip back to the store now in rush hour and was able to exchange the slide. When I get home and open the box it was again the wrong footprint and missing the plate and a screw... I finally go back to turners today and I look at their selection to verify myself the correct slide with correct footprint. The only one they had was in grey...rip. I decided to start an exchange at this store and see if I can order the correct slide with the correct color I want. I end up waiting for a manager for 40 minutes. And when she comes to the front she starts looking at things on the second register and then tells me they have a no exchange or return policy for slides and barrels. I show her this location already did an exchange and she goes all the way to the back of the store. She comes back after and asks if I wanted to exchange or return. At this point I decide to play it safe and do a return for refund. Also when writing this I notice the manager today left her name out of my receipt so I can only see the clerk and not the manager. Come to this store if it is convenient and shop here when you are more informed than the people working here. Wish they retained their best workers but times have changed. I do not recommend coming to this location. read more

Also, For being a large chain of stores they lack ammo inventory for our community. Front desk cashiers relaxing while they can be trained to also release Online Ammo orders. My experience with Turner's has always been bad. When I go in person, I've always had to wait in line FOREVER. Tried calling to check for availability before I go in person, I'll be placed on hold for more than 30 mins, then someone will pick up then HANG UP on me!!?! Tried calling back, same thing, on hold for more than 30 mins, can't listen to the hold music any longer, had to hang up. Bad experience is NOT at an isolated location, it's the same for store in Pasadena & Ontario. Guess they don't care about customer service much or not willing to hire more people. read more

I never leave reviews but Audrey was just terrible I don't even think she knows what the words customer service means. Just horrible. TO ADD TO THIS. after buying a $2,400 shotgun you'd think you'd get treated a little better. She drops the shotgun first of all in the box. Next she gives me ammo for the shotgun that is supposed to be for home defense. I went to go test it at the range yesterday it jammed every shot with that ammo she provided me. It was the wrong ammo because I tried another ammo that Wasn't low recoil and it didn't jam once. I'm taking about a Benelli M4 here ladies and gentlemen. Just horrible will never come here again. Also got charged for a lock for my gun which she never gave to me upon picking up my gun. So now I need to go out of my way to buy another lock for it and spend double the price. The evening of Oct. 28, 2024 is one I and my sweetheart will soon not forget. We stopped by to finalize a purchase of an item that had finally arrived. I patiently waited my turn in queue until I was verbally assaulted by an unhinged salesman. It was reminiscent of a mad cow/bull released into an arena at a rodeo. Instead of leaving, I demanded to speak to a manager. To the rescue came Mr. John Moorhead who had witnessed the fiasco and decided reason and civility should prevail. He assisted me with my paperwork in a calm and courteous manner which I in turn reciprocated. What more than likely would be my last purchase at Turner's was reversed by the kind and professional demeanor of Mr. Moorhead. I have nothing but praise and kind words for his ability to treat a customer with respect; he turned a very negative situation into a positive one. read more
