The breakfast was very good and my service was as well. The only negative is the extremely long wait times.

Despite being towards the outer portion of pier village, Turning Point is a wonderful place to grab breakfast, lunch, or brunch. When it's warmer outside where guest can sit and eat. However, it's worth mentioning that the place doesn't serve dinner, which means that it closes at 5 PM daily. Structures with a home-like feel in mind, the place is a bit cozy, but still very inviting with its airy ambiance. When you're seated, rather than filling up glasses of water, they instead fill up a pitcher that has its own place holder on the table. As for my meal, i ordered the jersey club sandwich, which is basically a turkey clun sandwich on a fresh roll. Not only does the menu consist of mostly healthy options, but the presentation of the meals are delicately done. Instead of offering greasy fries with the sandwich, you actually get healthy tortilla chips with a small bullet full , of salsa. Overall, i was most satisfied my the fresh taste of the salad and healthy conscious portion. Therefore, if you're looking for something light to eat at the beach without feeling overly bloated afterwards, you really need to check out Turning Point. Not only does it offer healthy meal choices, but the pricing is as equally forgiving. In fact, my jersey club sandwich costs $10, which is superb when you look at the presentation of the dish and location of the restaurant. read more

Had a great breakfast this morning. Eggs Benedict Cajun style with cornbread and chorizo was off the charts. Only hiccup was the staff behind the desk who told us 20 min wait, then another 20 which ended up being 30. Open tables sitting unused while they were trying to get their wait list together. I went for a friends bday with a big group of people and it started raining. Our server, Annie, brought our table four umbrellas and was very helpful and flexible. went here yesterday with my girlfriend who frequents the place. It was delightful to come off season. Parking was easy, service was superb (Thank you Ashley!) and the food was just yummy! Their coffee is terrific, you walk in and smell it and can't help but order it immediately. I had the popeye skillet. Loved that they used fresh mushrooms and spinach. The whole thing was fresh, fresh, fresh. Friend had the Wilbur ( her grandfather's name) made her smile thinking of him. Also extremely fresh ingredients and both were delicious. We went for breakfast on a Sunday. Got seated straight away and had a friendly waitress that greeted us and got our drink order. The menu options blew our mind and the wait staff was great with help us. Our food came out looking like pieces of art and tasting out of this world. The weather both times I've eaten here was great, so not sure what it's like in chillier months. On a nice day though, there is nothing better. Then there's the food -- fantastic. We started with the breakfast bruschetta, a MUST. You cannot go here and not order it, I'm telling you. They also offer a number of healthy options, and seem to use pretty wholesome ingredients. Lots of vegetarian options too. I had the garden frittata, and I wanted to keep eating but couldn't finish because the portion was so large. Egg whites, bell peppers, mushroom, spinach, and feta -- all on top of whole wheat pita toast. Delish! Comes with a side of fresh fruit. I appreciate restaurants where I know I will receive quality product regardless of what I order. Fortunately, the Turning Point is one of those restaurants. I have been to four different locations (Brick, Manalapan, Wall, Long Branch), and I can confidently say that service has always been spot-on. I love all Turning Point restaurants. My absolute favorites are their French press coffee and their Belgium waffle with country fried chicken - the best ever. I don't think you can go wrong with any selection here. The only reason I'm giving this a 2 is because this used to be one of my favorite places. It was by the beach. Despite the growing number of restaurants, the management couldn't seem to remember who was waiting for a seat and people were waiting extra long. I would have been ok with this but the coffee had expired dairy products and we weren't served coffee until much later than when our food came. The portions also seemed smaller. Both my mom and I got upset stomachs despite ordering different food (pesto skillet and zucchini spaghetti). The whole experience was just off. Our party of 5 showed up for the opening at 7:30 am at the Long Branch location. From the hostess who moved very slowly and acted as if there weren't anyone on line for breakfast to the waitress. We ordered coffee which came out and she disappeared for 10 minutes. We did not have sweetener cream or utensils. Water was another reminder which took another 10 minutes. Finally went to the ladies room and no toilet paper! Ugh! First thing in the morning, staff should not be overwhelmed (not a large crowd at this point) and bathrooms should be ready for the day. It is clean, and you can eat is or outside.the restaurant was full, but I waited on right away by a friendly and efficient waitress. I asked for her recommendation between a couple of dishes.
