"A toast... to the ones who have gone before us and the stories they've left behind."

Official "Benny" here - so take my review with a grain of salt. (Us Northerners are a shady bunch!) We came here the summer before, loved it. Came this summer and... liked it. (The honeymoon is over, I fear.) The menu is eclectic - pizza to sandwiches to seafood to an impressive list of beers, cocktails and mocktails. The pricing is a bit too high but what else would you expect in the heart of the boardwalk, right at the main 'corner' where countless people are constantly walking past? The servers on both visits were superb. The restaurant definitely has a cool look all around... outdoor seating, a large bar inside, plenty of tables and a cool 'snug corner' that has a lounge/library vibe to it. (Weirdly enough on both visits they gave us the exact same high-top even though there was plenty of seating in all the other corners of the joint.) For every hit (the BLT sandwich) there was a "it was okay, I don't think I'd get that again" (fish tacos) and for almost $20 to hear, "the crust reminded me of Ellio's frozen pizza" was deflating. (Next summer? We might see what else Long Branch has to offer...)

Great location off the boardwalk by the ocean. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Service was excellent. It was a bit loud inside but it was a football Sunday. Wings are good, artichoke dip very good, clam chowder was very good, Ruben good, blt good, burgers very good,Mac and cheese with buffalo chicken is super. The only item we had that was below par was the clam personal pizza. Too much garlic and if you're looking for a New Haven type of clam pie this is not it. All it lots of other stuff I wouldn't mind trying.

While looking for a place for dinner on a Saturday evening we decided to give the Robinson Ale House a try. The outside seating area was packed, but inside there was plenty of space for our party of 4 to be seated.   The decor was reminiscent of an old pub, which created an inviting setting. Employees were friendly and prompt.  They have a large draft beer selection and a full cocktail list.  The menu offers a variety of items to choose from.  All of us were very pleased with our meals. I ordered the RB Prime burger, which had multiple toppings, but they went so well together it was very delicious. The old bay chips were also very good, not overpowering. The others in our party tried the turkey burger, very good; a chicken sandwich on sourdough, and the kids hotdog. The french fries served are very good!  I would definitely return to try some of the other items. --

Came from the beach and stopped by here to eat. Ordered the honey chicken sandwich which was tasty. We all ordered burgers and were pleased with the food. I ordered a cocktail but not worth the price because they put way too much ice. Staff was attentive. Menu a tad pricey.

PROS: Amazing place to come and eat. More upscale than other places around, large variety on the menu, good prices, tasty food, and fast service. Friendly staff and loads of space CONS: Parking is scarce as its only paid street parking OVERALL: I would absolutely come back here in time. As long as I park in the lot a few blocks away

As locals who've lived in the area for over 15 years, we've always enjoyed the shore and the many restaurants around the local rea. Yesterday, after a long day, we stopped into Robinson Ale House around 5 PM to grab dinner before heading to a concert. We were hoping for a relaxing meal, but the experience left a lot to be desired. When we arrived, the hostess didn't seem too friendly. We asked to be seated outside, and she glanced at her stand and replied, "Do you want a high table?" My partner and I looked at each other, confused, and clarified that we wanted a **table outside**. She either didn't hear us or didn't register the request, because we were seated inside--tucked in the far back corner of the restaurant. Since it was hot outside and the area was already busy, we decided to just stay where we were. The space, unfortunately, didn't feel clean. There were food crumbs on the booth cushions, greasy fingerprints on the doors, and smudges across the windows. Fruit flies and regular flies were buzzing around, which made the meal less pleasant. I know it's summer and these things happen, but some extra care with cleaning would help a lot. Even the outdoor area had noticeable trash scattered around--yes, wind is a factor, but a regular sweep would improve the vibe and keep pests and birds at bay. The **women's restroom** was another odd point. The left sink didn't have a faucet handle, so I assumed it was motion-sensor activated--but it didn't work at all. The right sink did have a working handle. The soap dispenser was installed off to the side, not aligned with the sink, and there was a large amount of wasted soap pooled all over the back of the sink. I mentioned it to the bus boy on my way out, hoping it gets addressed. Now onto the drinks and food. I ordered the **Tiki Time** (Bacardi pineapple rum, coconut, and pineapple juice) for $15. My partner got the **Summer Sangria** (Mount Gay rum, white rum, white wine, peach schnapps, and fruit purée) for $16. Both drinks were tasty and well-balanced, definitely a highlight. I had the **vodka pizza** for $17, a simple bar-style personal pie with vodka sauce, mozzarella, and basil. It wasn't anything extraordinary, but I enjoyed it and would order it again. My partner ordered the **short rib ravioli** for $29 from the main course menu. When it arrived, we were genuinely shocked--six small ravioli, maybe eight peas, and a few thin mushroom slices. For the price, the portion was incredibly small. We completely understand that food prices have risen, but $29 felt far too steep for what was delivered. At best, this portion seemed like a small plate worth around $18. If the intent is for this dish to be lighter, it should be listed under "small plates" or "bites," or at the very least, servers should give a heads-up about the portion size when ordering. She was very disappointed. Still hungry, we added the **fried zucchini** appetizer ($13). The zucchini itself was pretty bland, with no real seasoning. The lemon pepper aioli on the side was flavorful, but without it, the dish lacked taste. All in all, our experience was mixed. Great drinks and solid pizza, but the lack of cleanliness, poor communication from staff, and underwhelming food portions made it disappointing--especially for a place in such a prime location. Maybe rethink the pricing of items. We hope this feedback is useful and helps improve future visits for others.

Our waitress was nice but our food was just mediocre. I ordered my burger medium rare and the inside was cooked well but the outside was burned and over half of my bites tasted charred. The cheese was also barely melted so texturally that wasn't super pleasant. I got sweet potato fries for an up-charge and boy were they SWEET. My husband got the shrimp scampi pizza and said that it was "fine". Nothing was "bad" per se but nothing was particularly good either. It's a shame that the food isn't better because location wise this place is great.

I had a very mediocre experience. Our server took a long time to take our drink order and she never checked in on us during our dinner. The restaurant didn't appear busy while we were there. I had the New England clam chowder and the buffalo chicken pizza. I enjoyed my soup but did not enjoy the pizza. It had huge chunks of chicken that were lukewarm at best. I wish I would have ordered something else instead. This place isn't cheap and was not worth the price.

Stopped in for dinner. Sat at the bar and the bartender was nice and friendly. They had good choices of beer on tap. I got the deviled eggs which was great. Had slice of jalapeño on them and got the clam dish. In a red sauce with sausage and crostini. I loved them. When I come to town I get them.

The drinks are good but always take a long time to come out. All the food I've had here over the several times I've visited has been good. It is usually not too loud when full. The parking can be a nightmare in the summer, but that's true anywhere in Pier Village.

    Chicken Pot Pie

I loved the food and the portions were great Started with the nachos cheeses was superb! On the pricey side w protein so we opted for just plain nachos 16- i had the chicken pot pie. OMG loved it Wife had the BE chicken. Also loved it !! Sorry for the 1/2 eaten pics. Was so good forgot to snap before we dug in. Only negative was we was waiting to flag down our waiter for soda refills Waited to find him almost 5-10 min.

Escaping from the city has its benefits. Visited the Robinson Ale House on a suggestion from a friend.....I can't wait to go back. This establishment is huge so I can imagine how packed it will be during the summer since it's right near the beach and a mini shopping center. Very casual spot and if you like sports this is surely your spot since they have huge TVs throughout. They offer a pretty lengthy beer selection and also a few cocktails so anyone wanting to wet their pallet will be pleased. I was so happy the volume on the TVs wasn't at full blast so we could have a conversation while eating without screaming at each other or miming. Now let's get down to the food. What a great menu, it's was so hard to choose what to get because I wanted at least 7 items on the menu lol. I finally decided to get the Harvest Turkey sandwich, I requested a different bread and my waiter was more than accommodating. Our waiter was very nice and efficient, I feel bad I forgot his name :(. The other party ordered the BLT + A (A = avocado). You have your choice of French fries or fresh baked chips to go with food. The BLT+A was perfect with well done bacon and slices of perfectly ripe avocado. My turkey sandwich was with fresh carved turkey, well done bacon, my favorite arugula, Brie and fig jam (it had sliced apples which I would leave off next time.....I not such an apple fan). I am not much of a chip fan when in restaurants but I did try one and it was as good as the Cape Cod brand of chips. I sensed a hint of onion powder along with the salt on the chips and I assure you they were made fresh to go with the order. Only down side is if you sit towards the front (in the winter months) by the windows there is a side door that some delivery guys opened several times and we almost froze out biscuits off but other than that we had a really great brunch. Ordered crab cakes to go and they were fantastic, to be honest they were so good I didn't even try to sauce that came as a side for dipping.
