It's been a couple years since I've visited a Turning Point, so I decided to check out this relatively new location with a friend for some brunch. We started off with a mocha which was super tasty and not overly sweet. For a main course, I got the breakfast combo and chose pancakes, scrambled eggs, pork roll, and salad. The pancakes were definitely my favorite and I enjoyed the butter and syrup combo (although they definitely would be better with some toppings). The egg and pork roll felt very oily to me, which was very unappetizing. The salad was also not very great.. mostly just spinach and a very vinegar-y dressing. I'd definitely order something different if I were to come back again. But still, the ambience was nice and the server we had was very friendly, which elevated our experience. read more

Cozy place for a breakfast or brunch. I love the Turning Point the food always comes out hot and never a miss. The service is always cheerful and friendly. I wish they stayed open until 5pm at least. Always make sure to check out the seasonal special drinks and dishes. The ironic thing is I don't usually ever eat breakfast especially pancakes and the lemon blueberry pancakes are amazing! read more

I went this morning for brunch with my four cousins. The amount of time we waited for our food to come out was crazy. The water glass on the table when we arrived was filthy and we had to get a new one. The floors in this restaurant were not clean. Our server never came to check on us - we always had to wave her down. My cousin had to grab her to get the check. The two to-go items my cousin ordered were not ready even after she paid the check. We had a hard time getting our server's attention to find out where those items were. When my cousin finally got her attention, she was told the wait was because they had burnt the cinnamon rolls. We should not have had to grab her to be told the items she was waiting for burnt. She should've told us that the second she knew that. The server said it would take another 30 minutes to make new cinnamon rolls but "she could give my cousin cinnamon roll pancakes because they only took five minutes". My cousin reluctantly agreed because we needed to leave. My other cousin had to leave because she had a flight to to catch back home. Thankfully she had taken her own car. Literally 20 minutes later, the "five minute wait" cinnamon roll pancake pancakes arrived. This restaurant was practically empty yet the wait time for everything was absurd. I ordered avocado toast with scrambled eggs and everything was fairly tasteless and the bread was so soggy. I would never come back to this restaurant. I'm closer to the one in Manalapan anyway. This TP could take some serious lessons in service, cooking, cleanliness, etc. from the Manalapan location. That one is three times busier and three times more crowded yet I've received better service and better food there every time I go. It's also extremely clean. read more

Drive by or go to the mall. There was a liitle wait for this breakfast lunchtime spot. 30 min. And the food was not worth the wait. They text you when your table is ready. Plain pancakes were hot but thin didn't seem like freaky made batter. Home fries on the side were child-sized you could have counted the potatoes on the saucer, and the extra bacon for $5.00 were 3 skimpy pieces which were dry and unappetizing. And the home made maple syrup was very watery as well. The shrimp and grits were cheesy but the cheese had a bitter taste. The side of mac n cheese was tasty. The best was the hot chocolates. I was in the area for an event and came over for a brunch. There was a 30 minute wait, so I took advantage of their counter service area for a seat right away. The atmosphere is bright with high ceilings. Many tables; a fireplace, and a couple of counter service areas. The bathroom was clean and all things functioned properly. Service with a smile, and, given the *crowd* in there, they were very efficient. I had the egg white omelette with greens. The omelette contained sautéed veggies and it was definitely one of the better ones I've had anywhere. The greens were fresh and cold. Portions are substantial. Oh, and I had a French press coffee which was delicious. $10... but... you get 32 Oz, and you can get to-go cups for what you don't drink. When I'm in the area again? If they're open, I'll definitely come back here for a meal or snack. read more

Great lunch here today! Our server Alex was great as was the food. I ordered a cold brew which came in a large carafe with sugar, syrup, and milk on the side. This place is mediocre, at best. It was really hyped up to be this great breakfast/brunch/lunch spot but it's really just a typical chain with premade food and an overpriced menu. I've been here a few times. Some stuff is ok, if it isn't cold when you get it. The pancakes are usually ok. Had a skillet recently and it was all fake food. Pretty obvious. Also super weak portion absolutely SMOTHERED in cheese to cover the fact that there was barely any food there. Lunch has been almost gross when I've been. Had a club Sandwhich and it tasted fake. Idk how that's possible but it is. And chips and salsa as a side is so wildly out of place for the menu here. How does that fit in with ANYTHING they offer. The chicken and waffles was an absolute JOKE. The waffle was clearly not fresh made batter. And the "chicken" was Tyson boneless tenders. It was absolutely inedible. Had I not been with a large party and waited too long to eat and wasn't positively freezing, I may have complained. FYI- dogs not allowed despite the Yelp features including "Dogs Allowed" (asked about the patio specifically since I was traveling with my small Cavalier and she was in her covered stroller). I would not have shown up had the features on Yelp not included dogs allowed since I respect this policy and never attempt to bring my dog if the Yelp features do not include "Dogs Allowed." Only service animals allowed, which is fine and as it should be as it is law, so no need to call it out as a feature if these are the only dogs allowed. That's all. Update Yelp please. This place was horrible. The water tasted fishy and was undrinkable. Of course, this ruined the coffee as well. My omelet was over fried, dry and you had to search for the bacon and cheese. Delicious food, beautiful decor and Stephanie is the best server ever. Had a very nice breakfast the day after Turkey Day. We were in a bit of a rush and she juggled her full station, brought us our food exactly as we ordered, made sure we had everything, gave us our bill and got us out of there in record time, never missed a beat. Loved brunch here. Not as expensive as some other brunch spots in NJ and simple but delicious. French toast was great as was my bacon. My boyfriend liked his chicken and waffles but wasn't a fan of the flavor of the sauce it is served with. And I will spend hours trying to recreate that cinnamon cold foam! VERY glad I stopped in here while exiting the Ocean County Mall. Was a little confused at first since there is also a coffee/tea shop attached on the outside so I didn't know what to expect. Once I entered though I was pleasantly surprised how large the restaurant is. VERY CLEAN, PLENTY of staff too in these times!!!! Good, busy place. We sat at the counter so we didn't have to wait on the long line for a table or booth. Good French press coffee, nice menu with some healthier choices. Food was hot, care put into the presentation, tasted good. We had the lemon blueberry pancakes and avocado toast. Both very good. Service was also attentive considering how busy they were. Do me a favor and eat before you go, waited 35 minutes due to our large party. There were 5 of us 3 adults 2 children. The chili they bragged about was a step up from canned. The avocado toast was just that toast with avocado, absolutely nothing to write home about. My 12 year old makes the same thing for herself for lunch. Can't review the food or service when you can't get in for your table. We called ahead for 1pm lunch for 8 and were told 30 min. I am writing this review at the place next door at 1:56 and we have not been contacted that our table is ready yet. Poor calculations of waits is a massive issue with children involved. read more

MY #1 favorite breakfast place ! Gluten Free Bread - Yippee so I can have one of those delicious sandwiches. I love their menu - very diverse with Vegan options, as well. They also have an option where you can get 1/2 a sandwich and choice of salad or soup. My niece had the vegan eggless omelette which I tasted and was impressed that it actually tasted better than a real-egg one ! I love their lattes and they have oatmilk, too. It is very crowded on the weekend, so during the summer we will go there usually on Monday or for lunch. read more

I've been to a couple different turning points and this is one of the best! Very clean inside, quick service and we didnt wait at all to be seated! Might have been because we were a little early, but I always wait at least a half hour at every other location. This spot just opened so they are still learning to navigate seating arrangements, but I had no complaints! Food was great as always. read more

This was my first time at this location. The hostess put the wrong phone number in the system and we were not notified about our table, made the wait around 55 minutes on a Sunday afternoon. I ordered the chicken and waffles, different recipe at this location compared to the other Turning Points I have dined. My wife ordered the seaside club and my daughter the chicken panini they said both were good. The server tried her best but very overwhelmed with many customers and tables, drinks were forget, silverware and napkins had to be asked for, quickest item we received was the check on the table, wanted to use the contactless payment not sure why a fee would be charged. Next time I visit a Turning Point I will take the drive to Brick NJ. read more
