Fast forward a few month, we drove past a neighbors house and saw Western's sign, gave them a call and within a day or so Ross was at the house walking through what we wanted, what they would do, how they would do it, and the next day we had an estimate. The steep hillside, and retaining wall weren't the only challenges, the biggest is that there is no access to get equipment to the backyard, so everything would need to be done by hand. Ross and the Western team continued to work through our pricing questions, and we came to a fair price to do the work. When it came time to do the work, the crew did not disappoint. They were moving quickly, and were doing great work. They had some tough logistics and made it seem easy. The final product was an amazing backyard, a structurally sound retaining wall, and awesome new landscape around the house. The whole time, we always had access to Ross, and more so to his team that would email us back same day or within 24 hours. They always let us know what was going on. We would definitely recommend the Western team and will go back to them for future work!

However, she is not great with following through to complete projects in a timely manner. Also, her crew is lacking experience/skill in many areas, making the quality of the work she does sub-par. We gave Abundant Construction a large remodel project in Fremont. The project dragged on for much longer than originally estimated, largely because Tanysha Barre was not able to obtain the workers with the skills necessary to do the project. While she is pretty good at hanging drywall and painting, there is a lack of skill in all other areas of the construction business. Even things like laying tile and simple plumbing is too much for this operation. Much of the work was done in a sloppy and expedited manner. For example, a worker dropped a tool on our new counter-top leaving a large chip, and it was not properly repaired. Another worker cut the vinyl floor incorrectly causing us to have a transition where none was necessary. They were not able to hang a drop ceiling to match the rest of the room and simply left it unfinished claiming that it was beyond the scope of work. I would certainly never recommend Abundant Construction or Tanysha to anyone.

They finished the job in 2 days and even painted the fascia in the front which made our house look extra clean!
